@@peeyur I highly doubt he’s making enough to throw 20k at a gearbox. He’s not Tj hunt. 20k on a car and 20k on a gearbox are 2 very different things when it comes down to it

Make sure you tight it enough so there's no oil slick at the start line.
Fun Fact: BMW m3 gtr engine was not legal in the race so BMW sold just 3 BMW M3 GTR street so they can say it is a street engine
10 were planned, 6 were made, 3 were sold for 250k dollars each (without adjusting for inflation). Safe to say it isnt really an obtainable car is it?

I've been following this build since the beginning and as an early 2000s child i spent a long time on most wanted and it became part of why im a car guy now, i idolised this car so much that I am planning to get my subaru impreza with the design, especially since ive recently got a widebody kit for the car and ik its sacrilege to put it on another car but the prices for an e46 as a 21 year old is ridiculous, love what you're doing man massive fan

The things on the side of the upper oil pan are the solenoid valves. They help the engine maintain oil pressure in high G cornering/braking situations

This might be an upgrade you Wanna do later, but if you wanna go full realistic I recommend getting the Brakes that the M3 Had in Heat. Brembos are expensive, but they could definetely come in handy to stop that compared to the ancient ones you have mounted on at the moment
There is an adaptor kit for Porsche Boxster/911 Brembos. Not too expensive

I really gotta appreciate how Theo's the only one, THE ONLY ONE OUT THERE, with the right body kit. So many bodykits and model cars too that feature the wrong kit, thank god the Pantsman does the right thing
not exactly the "right" kit, it is a very good/best replica that exists though. The wheel arches aren't as big as in the real one, I do hope the kit can be reshaped a lil bit because the wheels look like they are the correct size but the fenders just need to be bigger.
The OG GTR has the top of the front wheel arches inline with the hood
just a note, you have to fail a couple of times to get good and have mistakes to learn from soo, wrong kit for the motor is hopefully something to learn from ^^

Yo, make sure you install a oil pump coq wheel nut locker, to prevent catastrophic failure! You have a modified harmonic balancer now, its a great time to forward think! I plan on installing one for my own e46, because there are many suggestions, that this is the weak point of the engine, especially when modified. I know its a inline six in my case, but it only makes sense, that a modified v8 might run into similar issues. And since its only just a wire to prevent the nut to go loose, thanks to the vibrations, while extensive reving, it may save your whole engine!!!

The tires aren’t wide enough for the “Track Look” for example I ran 295/30 on a 18x9
I know the car has 2 exhaust pipes but it would be really cool and different if you put boom pipes on it like from a NASCAR and I could just imagine the sound it would make

Naturally both V8 kits for E46 were made in Poland. The first one was made by Adamat, the second one Cybul.

Just as a heads up Theo, if you’re going to be removing/installing the engine a lot of times, a “dummy engine” would be a wise idea as to avoid possible damaging the good engine, and not only that you can also work on the engine outside of the car, while also being able to figure out clearances and placement of stuff for the engine bay. Just an idea as I’ve seen this first hand myself and it makes a huge difference in the long run of a build, especially a build of this type.
Not necessary. The only way to damage the engine like that is if they drop it on the floor, off the hoist.
Never seen anyone do that. Ever. And even then, the engine would still be fine (with some replaceable broken bits, not the end of the world)
Spending £2-5k+ on a mock up engine seems like overkill, to me anyway.
It's easier to just not be a dummy
