The twin boiler design would have looked cool now that I see what you are talking about. Its a shame that the company won't help to fix the problem rather than being so quick to give back the money.
Shame on Cotswold. These things are £600 each. If a customer that spends £1200 can't get a valve fitted to specification, they really are taking the mickey.
I really liked the look of those boiler plants and was going to have a look at their website, but I've read of issues with Cotswold Heritage, and this is another of poor customer service.
I bought a Persius mill engine from Cotswold, it is a good engine ( I do feel that some corners were cut though). But my oh my, I have never experienced such horrible customer service or such rudeness for that matter. Never again and I really wanted one of their Vulcan beam engines.
Lino Aque Keith not to offend but but I to have had less than stellar response from the same firm with undersized castings and lazier cut parts not to mention the bad drawing they were not interested , delete if you think I have overstepped the channel rules
Bonjour Keith, Would this mean this company does not need customers ? Let me know if I can buy shares, it must be rich :+) I am sorry to discover a steam provider with whom I will not work... And they are less and less common... Amicalement, Raphaël
It is a sad statement on the state of customer service in this day and age and also a very sad statement about the level of a attention payed to customer orders too. have a good day and a better tomorrow
Hi Keith as always love your vids but I am now confused!!!!! what can I watch and what can't I watch. I am aware you need to have patrons to help keep the flow of vids coming as you spend a lot of time doing the vids. But as I am a man of simple means I would love to but can't be a patron I would love to contribute but can't. I was going to get a lathe a few weeks ago but that is now impossible due to financial constraints. That's life I suppose to be honest if I still lived in Yorkshire I would help you but now I don't. I really do hope you get patrons to help you Keith my fingers are crossed JIM
I am confused too Jim ....... I was told that I needed to put videos on that are initially only for my Patreon subscribers, then later put them on UA-cam. But I tried that and the Patreon subscribers aren't watching them much anyway. So instead I put them onto UA-cam for all the World to see and I am dependent on the generosity of my Patreon subscribers to supplement my income. So ..... for starters I put my "How to Build a Model Steam Launch" on Patreon so that viewers on there can watch that totally for free instead......... I normally sell this on DVD but now it is free to Patreon subscribers. I will continue to post my videos to the World on UA-cam as they seem very popular indeed and not everyone has the means to fund me making them. The Patreon subscribers continue to rise steadily anyway and I am very grateful for their support. The video project of course has to fund itself, the more financial support that I get apart from working at my other day jobs, the more videos I can make :-)) ......... I have no intention of getting rich by using Patreon. I have already sent my Ferrari back anyway :-)))))
I think good customer service is only available in the time steam engines powered the world. These days, you just buy another piece of cr@p from a china shopping website and dont even try getting help.

Likely the company is getting the boiler from somewhere else and have little control over what they get. At least it would help explain what happened.
It must be nice to own a company that does not need customers, I wish i could come up with something like that.

Very interesting project! How many watts power output will it have? 100? 200? I am curious if it can power an office computer or a TV.

Far be it for me to deride a company...but Cotswold heritage's customer service sounds as though it has much to be desired

Keith is hilarious!
Hi Keith. Do you think this size steam plant could drive a ST No4 ? Ta :-)
Yes it would, but not for serious work, fine though for just running the engine light .....
Thank you, Keith.
