I’ve been seeing the words “Little Feat” being associated with “underrated” quite a lot over the past two years. About time recognition is coming forth for them!
@@christopherorman5769 Can't agree with you, Chris. The ol' guitar player solos out way too long in the version I saw- Schofield is his name. Sucked how he went on with little conncection to the song. The regular band had the song covered nicely without him
@@christopherorman5769 Gov't Mule did slay it, but there are no flies on these guys! I saw Little Feat in Charlotte in '71, and it was the best show I EVER saw!
Our band does this, and it never fails to get the audience swaying. We heard that Lowell George walked in on the band playing this and sang the lyrics to it on the spot...
We all know Tre is not the best signer but he still does a great job, it's the vibe from these guys playing together that makes you forget about it and really enjoy PHISH.
Nobody is coming to listen to the lyrics unless they keep it to themselves its all about the notes for me they can hold a tone steady but" naw son" to the lyrics
Walk Away and Fire Mellow Mood so many great covers Golden Age Golden Lady shit Phish can cover anything it seems sometimes and go it w grace They are especially great w the Beatles and The Who and David Bowie that Ziggy Stardust the Cry Baby Cry White Tears album and Quadrophenia i can listen to all 3 on repeat and never get tired of them and the Velvet Underground Loaded was played to perfection in 1998 what a year for Phish
Thanks for the post!! Love Phish and Little Feat! Been to many Phish shows and it's the kind of experience that after your first show, you make a point of catching them every chance you get! Good vibes ALWAYS!!
Wow is that Fishman on The Bongo Congo stuff dang I know he's an awesome drummer but that stuff be incredible like thoroughly enjoyable wow amazing Rastafari Tucson Arizona Sonoran Desert yes I keep on keeping on
Thank You Kindly for this one ! Never really listened to and appreciated Phish until this Little Feat video set of songs. Wow, WTF have I been missing all these years gone by ? Now I gotta catch up on all Phish projects & albums. Keep Rockin' !
Joel Laskin, check out their versions of The White Album, Quadrophenia, Remain in Light, Dark Side of the Moon, Loaded, Exile on Main Street, and Ziggy Stardust!!
As a huge fan of Waiting For Columbus, AND a huge fan of Phish, this is almost sensory overload......in a good way!! Absolutely killer. The whole show is worth watching as well!
My friend once described ohish spelunking funky type of groove is akin to a deep space exploratory vessel with on board navigational computer seeking a celestial path sorta similar to a sky submarine but 1988-89 axilla will peel your face off sick sick sick total fire jamtastic not to b disappointed son
I like that they did the intro to the Waiting for Columbus version virtually note-for-note and beat-for-beat. That's a piece of musical perfection that is worth preserving. Not a Lowell George-type voice, but what is?
@jsen33 me? old deadhead just got turned on to them,,last years NYE run at MSG NY ny,,2011 & 2012,,went phishing and they got me lol,,the summer bealth (philly) (MSG),pnc HOMEDEL NJ,,cant get enough,of that funky stuff,,,,
@cmgadzinski...haha that makes me think you've never heard the original, or Robert Palmer's version with the Funky Meters, but your point is well taken.
Great version of the Little Feat classic, excepting the premature vocal at the very beginning. I did not hear them credit it as a Feat song though. Better than the Warren Haynes version.
I still can't find the whole show..Is it out there..And how do you guys get the sound quality so good on bootlegs???I am going to further with my 11 year old..I have not seen the dead since Jerry died RIP.. I wish Phish came out here more..I would love to see them again..I saw them way back in 94 in Delaware of all places..Good show..Looks better now though..Thanks to whoever gets these..I don't know how you do it but right on...
EXACTLY...really wanted to like this...Phish has quite a following in my region as well. This is one of my favorite "Little Feat" songs. Nice little funky vibe here...GREAT horn section...but DUDE!!! Singing is NOT on and WHAT"S UP WITH THESE LYRICS???!!! Goin' home to the Feats now.
Agreed. I came to listen to my Daughters favorite song because they were doing Spanish Moon. But man this is a disservice to Lowel George. This song needs a gritty voice and this guy doesn’t have it.
@fiveyrold...have you even ever listened to Little Feat before this show? Or Robert Palmer? Or are you one of those "heads" who thought Phish wrote "Sneakin Sally Through the Alley"?
cuz they don't have the legendary giovanni hidalgo going around with them much, would be my guess -- i wish they would too, though. the bongos aren't that essential, it's not like they're the horns
So, I've been listening to Phish for around a year now. I know a big bulk of there songs, but I feel like I want to buy their cds as well. I already have "Billy Breathes". If anyone would be able to give me their 3 options on which studio album to buy, either reply to this comment, or PM me. Rock on Phish Summer Tour 2011!!!!!!
"Robert Palmer and Lowell George are rolling in their graves" That's the point- THEY ARENT PLAYING NOW. Time goes on and great bands are forgotten. Awesome that Phish tries to remind people of great bands of the past for one night HALLOWEEN. Maybe their vocals arent amazing, but their shows kicks ass and are Great Fun! They arent touring as Little Feat, just playing their songs for an hour- these fans like live music now- not listening to some old rocker tell them how it should be
Glad that Phish gave so much love to one of the most underrated bands of all time - LITTLE FEAT. love them both
couple of them toured w phil lesh in spring 00. nice to hear a mix of dead and feat songs, htough it was mostly fatman and DixChix. good jams tho
I’ve been seeing the words “Little Feat” being associated with “underrated” quite a lot over the past two years. About time recognition is coming forth for them!
TLH YO !!
the transition back into the groove out of the percussion solo is silky smooth... hooray for fishman!
This costume set is the most underrated by far. They literally covered a LIVE album with all the nuance of that show.
My name is Mr. Funk and I approve this message.
Rock on, Mr. Funk!
Can I please make a Suggestion
Best live version of Moon since Lowell died..Phis should cover more Feat..
Not when Govt Mule covers it. Destroys this.
@@christopherorman5769 Can't agree with you, Chris. The ol' guitar player solos out way too long in the version I saw- Schofield is his name. Sucked how he went on with little conncection to the song. The regular band had the song covered nicely without him
@@terenceoneill3075Go back and hear Mule versions from 1996.

just what I needed
Oh my this is good. Very nice, and not easy to pull off. Doin' the Feat proud, fantastic.
back when whiskey was whiskey and cocaine was cocaine. Little Feat.
I believe that these three AC shows were a pinnacle, very great aura, crowd, and music.
We all know Tre is not the best signer but he still does a great job, it's the vibe from these guys playing together that makes you forget about it and really enjoy PHISH.

AWESOME
Great cover of Little Feats' Spanish Moon, not heard much Phish (or any before this?) but by this sound only I'd have to say they're very good!
They rocked this whole album!!
As a huge fan of Waiting For Columbus, AND a huge fan of Phish, this is almost sensory overload......in a good way!! Absolutely killer. The whole show is worth watching as well!
Stash and Spanih Moon = best jams of the weekend!

¡¡¡¡SAVOR!!!!
I've always thought this song had a major influence on Mike's Song, and this confirmed it
Love little feat phish did them proud

So much better than the Dead, in my opinion.
I can only take so much of the sloooooowwww trance music, and Phish doesn't do that much.
RIP Jerry
@cmgadzinski...haha that makes me think you've never heard the original, or Robert Palmer's version with the Funky Meters, but your point is well taken.
Phish releases free soundboard copies of every show they play for download if you were at the show (they are available for purchase if you weren't)
@bailey141414 bathtub gin and chalk dust torture from 10/30 as well, those 4 stood out to me

sicky vid....harpuafsb I owe you a beer or five...
2:03 Fishman approves of Giovanni's skills.
That timbale hit cut right through him lol .. fucking awesome

ça rend vraiment pas hommage à Little feat , si c'est la meilleure version selon Patrick Bower comment sont les autres ?
HOLY SHIT THIS VIDEO IS SO FUCKING AWESOME#$!@#$!@#$!@!!!
Having seen Lil feat twice iam sure someone is smiling.
WOW!!!! So SECK!

Someone got the spanish moon from Mexico?
Did you know that in Mexico they do not see a man on the moon they see a rabbit Conejo

It will be the woman.
tomorrow?
No Lowell that's for sure.

Max, Junta, Lawnboy, and Rift!!
Uhhh..don't waste your time with their studio albums would be my advice..they're a live band..period
If Phish has a weak link,, its they dont have killer vocals
