@@GabrielTravelerVideos Catchy video title - Journey to Ixtlan (1972) immediately came to mind. It was the third book by Carlos Castaneda.
I particularly enjoyed the story about getting away from the air-conditioning in the bus!
If Gabriel planning on a (prolonged) Brazil, he might be interested in filming videos of 'garimpos' (precious metal prospection) & rural vicinity in a remote northern state...
@@simonparr174 I read almost all his books back in the '90s, very fascinating stuff.

Anybody like me and never eat while traveling if can help it? Also I keep drinking to minimum to minimize bathroom logistic issues? I have traveled from west coast to east coast with 3 layovers without eating just to simplify things and not get sick. Also from west coast to London with two layovers, zero food. I would be skinny if I traveled more.
@HotlamBolamwhat are your favorite places in Mexico mister?
22 Canadian dollars for 3 tacos in Mexico is insane
I can't disagree.
@@GabrielTravelerVideoson another note just discovered your channel and been back-watching your videos and really enjoying the content-informative and a great mental escape from the cold!
Cool, glad to hear it. 👍✌
Yummm
😊all the best in 2025, peace on earth
$16 for three tacos about the same price as U.S.
All the Mexican workers sending U.S dollars back to Mexico for decades has inflated everything, probably over simplistic but guess how that works.
choices
Tacos from a hotel restaurant are a dubious choice, and expensive

Congratulations once again you won nothing. 😝😝😝
Those tacos at the end didn't look worth 16 bucks
@HotlamBolamHarald Baldr just ate BBQ'd Mountain Rat in Vietnam 🤮
$4.50 for a slice of quiche? ripoff.
More than $16 US for 3 tacos in Mexico?????? Screw that! I can get it cheaper in the US where I live. Your spoiled Gabe!
@HotlamBolamDel Taco, maybe?
Harald Baldr is eating mountain rat in Vietnam. BBQ'd
Surprised you have not rented a car
It would be very expensive to rent one in Puerto Vallarta and drop it in Mazatlan. Also I wouldn't feel that comfortable driving on my own through Sinaloa drug cartel territory.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yes I thought that might be your concern on safety
@@GabrielTravelerVideosSimon, backpack Ben, and Bald drove a rental car into Sinaloa and abruptly stopped filming and left Mexico. The cartel doesn't play. Ironically Bald was trying to infer that the region wasn't as dangerous as the media portrays
@@gerry9306 I saw that video. I forget what the final result was, did they make it to Mazatlan? I don't remember any major drama. But maybe I missed something.
@GabrielTravelerVideos They were supposed to be in Culiacán for a few days, but the Sinaloa episodes end abruptly after Bald arrives at his hotel the very first day. There was no further mention of the trip. Some speculate that the Sinaloa cartel told them to leave. It was strange that they went to this area and behaved as though they were at Disneyland. They did the same thing in northwestern Pakistan and were also forced out.
25 yrs ago a friend of mine in his 20's used to visit Mazatlan. He had a lot of fun partying there, he used to call it Mattressland😂
Because of local women or other foreigner women??
@LunazulBaraka not 100% sure but I think it was a party town for tourists so yes foreign women.
Did he try ladyboy there too
@VolkerHelmich no. He saved them all for you

Are you a real man? 🏳️🌈😚
I remember hearing about that when I was a kid in the '80s. Times have changed. Quiche is the new macho.
Time to buy a sail boat n go solo saling the pacific cheap
Pirates!
Stop complaining how expensive Mexico is, it is still cheaper than the US, Canada and Europe.
He’s not complaining. It’s his job to tell his viewers the current economic conditions in any country, town he visits because some may wish to travel there.
Added: plus it IS more expensive there. Mexico is catching up in charging the same rate found in USA
Stephanie, since when is stating facts considered complaining? Relax lady
Never heard a complaint.
