she only have 2k subs in total in feb 21 then after this Susei encounter she gain 26k on March 7. so in 2 weeks she get 24k subs, currently shes at 46k subs... putting a work is good, but exposure from an unexpected one like Susei is better.
We can't really imagine how big of an impact small things like this to help starting vtubers in their career. With how countless vtubers debuting basically everyday getting your name indorsed by someone popular whether directly or indirectly can help them immensely to kick start their engine and getting their name in people's radar. We all had different perspectives about it, some sees it as a way to gain fame, some sees it as a good source of "income" and others sees it as a hobby/entertainment. I think most members started as a struggling streamer or Internet personality of some kind. Take Ame, she used to be a Twitch streamer (not a Vtuber, she used her real face) and mostly played FPS games and things like that; but despite being a cute White girl, she didn't want get any attention at all. It's hard to stand out when there's just so many established streamers. Then she joined Hololive and boom. It's why she's so thankful to be in Hololive despite not really being interested in anime and anime culture at all. Same thing for Vtubers like Calli and Vox, who are also not really all that interested in anime culture but becoming Vtubers has done wonders for them. You can clearly see how thankful Vox is to the CEO of Nijisanji.
Suichan is so humble saying it wasn't a big deal. And yet I'm sure that the new talent felt like a goddess stumbled on her path and made a moment for her to remember forever.
