"Since like, if you give a chance to an independent Vtuber, they would grow too." Beautiful, considering Suisei herself were indie for quite a while, got a chance and look at the star that she is.-
Call it a hunch, but I think it's because it's a company built upon kindness. A lot of Hololive members were in pretty miserable situations, their stories all got better because of kindness from Suisei's tough climb to Kson's bed money. And when that same level of kindness is shared to others, more can grow.
There are of course exceptions, such as Chris and Rushia, and of course certain individuals in the CN division who brought the whole thing down in flames, taking the good folks with them. But of course, it's the exceptions that prove the rule.
That, and because the foundation of Hololive (namely the big three of Yagoo, A-chan, and Sora) understands the struggle for recognition when you're just starting out. Hence why they've never shied away from expressing how grateful they are for their current success and are always willing to pay it forward.

Nice to see Moshu getting traction now. I watched her just a teeny tiny bit in early 2023 because she had Bocchi The Rock watchalongs, like many other indie vtubers. Tbf, she was just one of many I watched, but her volume slider hair is kinda memorable. For our Omaru Polka shouting out Luca Polka (now graduated), Maple has a video aptly named "Polka and Polka's Ring Fit Adventure". The video shows a tweet of Polpol calling Luca Polka the original Polka because she debuted earlier in the year. Omaru Polka would also sometimes tweet (or at least receive tweets from? my memory is hazy) her Vsister Hinokami Hikone who used to be part of Axel-V, but has since gone indie after Axel-V went under.

Very cool to catch all these moments! I think for the EN branch Kiara has really done a good amount of collabs with indies considering how she’s been interviewed at Dokomi (German anime convention) by a vtuber and did some panels with German speaking vtubers at the event. She’s also collabed with other smaller vtubers who were in a small corpo (although that talent has graduated and become an indie vtuber). She’s also collabed with Utano Pandora who’s an indie to simply talk about idols which was very wholesome
This is turning out to be a pattern. Being friggin' burned to a crisp by toxic streamers and all their shit-talking and controversies from a certain company, and then getting healed by holomem with just so many heart0warming stories of positivity.
Thing is, even when Kurosanji members meet indies (the VERY FEW TIMES this happens), they're so strangled by their corp overlords, they can't provide any actual help or support to the people they just collabed with. By comparison, Hololive's looser rules and constant support and permissions they give means that it's easier for a Hololive talent to spontaneously do a surprise like this. This makes it feel more genuine and heartfelt, which is all you really need. Becuase, yes, if Pomu or Selene dropped into a game a random Vtuber was playing and went "hey, support this indie", it would also be extremely hype for that indie. But Kurosanji just... doesn't let them do it. It chokes them out.
