    My grandaughter asked to help her learn to make a beaded leather bag. This was extremely helpful to someone who has a intermediate knowledge of sewing. Thanks so much!

    I love ❤️ all your creations and designs. I learned how to make a beaded cap from your tutorial. I’m so taken with your talents. They have to be God given. I want to do it all like you have. I just bought your looming book and I love everything you have in the book. I’m a novice and I wish I started my love for the beading arts and jewelry making when I was a lot younger. Thank you Ann. 🌼💐

    I was never much of a fan of beads until I watched this very well produced video. We have had several customers a month talk to us about this service and I can send them to this source.

    Ann, I have been following you for years and I love your advice and your presentation. I love your voice and everything you show us is so clearly done and so easy to understand. Thank you so much.
    I was just doing bead weaving and wasn’t really interested in Bead embroidery, but lately I’ve gotten interested in it and the work you have shown here in these few videos is just so inspiring. Please show us MORE! So much of the bead embroidery that I see in other videos is very plain and very tame. I mean all the work is, of course, very beautiful but everyone seems to use just the same little beads. The work that you have shown here really does use different kinds of beads in a very spectacular and creative way. I love your Beadwork immensely. The bead embroidery that you show here is the kind of work that I want to aspire to.

    You can't embroider on a loom, but you can incorporate a loom-woven section into a bead embroidery! What fun that would be, and it would certainly be a great look. We've just posted a new video for basic bead looming, which you can use to weave a strip of beads to incorporate into a bead embroidery. Good luck!

    When working on a soft fabric like velvet, it's a good idea to use a lightweight nonwoven such as Pellon 30 behind the velvet to support it, or you may find that there is distortion

    Yes, but it would be wise to use a lightweight nonwoven on the back of the project to support the beads

    wow, you said alot in this short video, you make it look and sound simplle. I didnt know where to start with this kind of bead work so i never tried.. Thanks for inspiring me TODAY, I am making a oval cabachon something on leather. so attaching the leather cabachon to a bracelt would be my next question?

    I have searched videos for a demonstration using the beadweaving technique where you string a line of beads, then on each subsequent row you go back and secure the beads to the previous row at every 3rd bead (often used for broaches). Is that stitch used any longer? I've seen this technique in an older Beadweaving magazine, but would like to see how it's done on video. My attempt was painfully time consuming and I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong. Please help :-}

      +Mary Cheney Yes, that is called couching, as in the quilting technique. Look at our video on back stitch; there is a short section near the end on couching. It's very simple, you simply anchor the row of beads from underneath every two or three beads.

      Thanks, but that's not quite what I'm looking for. In your 1993 Beadweaving book there's a "Military Bar" broach (pg 69) that doesn't have any backing to back-stitch onto. Only when the broach is completed do you attach it to a piece of cardboard and fabric piece for backing. Therefore, the weaving and couching is done on free-standing columns of beading, not to fabric. I followed the directions, but it just looks hinkey. I thought maybe I was over-thinking the process, or missing a step.

      +Mary Cheney OK now I understand---it's a locked ladder stitch, n off-loom weaving technique. Here's our video:

      Thank you so much. If you ever get a chance, can you update it by showing how to increase beads at the end of a row? I presume you would go up the 3 beads plus how many more you added. So maybe you need to go up 4 or 5 beads before you encircle the previous row?
