Mate that bloody symposer hose and the clips are beyond a joke 😂. I managed to do it with some plumbers pliers the pipe and those snap lock clips are almost welded onto the plastic to get them moving takes the longest. Good job though on the IC I did mine many years ago pretty much the same way 👌👌
Yep, agree. EVERYTHING on these is fiddly lol. The age of the cars means you are going to encounter a lot of seized bolts. I can recommend a mini Oxy Acetylene kit. Really gets heat into the bolts. Used for rear wheel bearings. If you are doing your rear suspension bushes at any point, be prepared to have to cut out the old bushes with a recip. saw. They are T.W.A.T.S. Allow a lot of time for that job when you get to it mate. Hopefully they have been done previously.
@@BamMotors Fingers crossed the bolts are not welded to the bushes then mate. I have a combination of Powerflex and SuperPro bushes on mine. Avoid PSB bushes as they use aluminium tubes and have no cross hatching in the poly material (cannot hold any grease) which bind up really quickly if not frequently maintained.
Ive had the front and rear suspension all off blasted primer coated then powder coated full polybushed with whiteline bushes then built up with new nuts bolts washers all from ford but the car drives like new well worth the effort.
Niggles while doing loads of stuff including new timing belt and water pump, RS clutch, all new coolant hoses and boost hoses, stage 2 intercooler, refurb. turbo I built myself using a balanced core, Mamba turbo water and oil line kit, RS oil cooler, Manifold bolts repaired, poly bushed engine mounts, new wheel bearings, poly bushed suspension front and rear, coil overs, Hardrace rear anti roll bar, brakes including new standard calipers pipes, discs etc. vac pipe mod. Prosport gauges, intake kit group A, 3inch scorpion exhaust with sports cat, new lambdas, new maf, new Map, spark plugs, coil packs, injectors, carbon trimmed reupholstered steering wheel from Russia no less. And other stuff.... So... niggly bits. Gearbox oil filler plug. Why? Recirc valve. (fitting in situ) Eh? Oil feed line from engine to turbo. Wtf. Heater matrix 'quick connect' hoses. Yer 'avin a laugh. Oil cooler. SMH. Aux belt tensioner assembly. Fkin aircon! Water pump. Whaaa! Brake resevoir. Hehe. Driver's side front suspension arm. Fkin aircon! And the rest. Clutch change. Bloody subframe! And the rest of it lol. I've had some fun with my car lol. Gonna rebuild my engine next. Head gasket went I think. Update: Was a cracked liner so engine out. and fresh block modded engine putting in. Time for a refresh on the engine after 160,000 miles. It's just a tinker car for me. I get to drive it now and again. 🤣🤣🤣
Hay bud where u fixed the cold side boost hose there is a plastic bracket on rad that cuts in to the hose had to cut my one of ,over time it will make a hole in boost hose
@BAM MOTORS lol when I did my stage 1 intercooler I took the bumper off then the when doing the stage 2 intercooler I did it through the grill oh wicked ill keep an eye on my notifications
@@BamMotors not really tbf mods iv got are airtec plenum forge recirculation valve and actuator with 15psi spring, blockmod, rs clutch, wisbech induction kit, 440 rs injectors, kms thunderstorm exhaust with malian sports car and 3 inch down pipe stage 2 airtec intercooler and uprated cold side boost pipe and custom map producing 327.5 bhp and 528.5nM of torque. I think that's all of it
Sounds awesome and similar to what I want to achieve!! I looked at the Wisbech but recently been looking at the RS style cross over by airtec, it’s likely that what’s coming next!!
Going to do mine and this is a top help thanks
Glad I could help, make sure you drop a follow for my other ST videos and future mods!!

Your not wrong mate!! Worth it thou with the hoses and less cabin noise with no symposer!!

Your not wrong!! Suspension bushes are on the to do list, however I will likely send it in to be done & upgrade to poly bushes while I’m there

This is definitely on my top do list!!
I hate torques bits, dirt gets in them, they round off easy... Is the ford mainly torques? And i hate working in the dark, fair play mate!
There is a fair few torx bits on it nothing like that Alfa Romeo mind!!

Did you notice a huge difference between stage 1 & 2 intercoolers? What other mods are you running?
