Russia was SUPER mad about this song. They made a big fuss about it because the whole thing was made on Swedish public television, so they thought the government could just order SVT to pull the plug on Grotesco. That's not how our system works at all, but try explaining that to Russia. It probably hurt that it was actually really good and catchy. People wanted to send this as our contribution for that year.
Grotesco are mad! Next one you must do is “Runka Bulle”. I won’t even translate it, it’s too offensive 🤣 But it’s got English subtitles so you will get it.

Funny thing is that most real Russians who made comments to the song understood that this is a humour song and liked it alot!......But the Russian Embassy sure didnt......

If you watched Eurovision the past 20 years youve seen 98 year old woman milking cows on stage, extremely fat gays in Ace Frehley suits and a million other bizarre things - the humour is that THIS actually could have been a contestant!!!

This performance should have been a valid contender for Sweden instead of the other crap artists LOL also it would give the russians the finger :). Funny thing is they use lots of 1990's troupes here and thats also because Russian trends came later. So in 2010 Russia trend was still stuck in 1990's haha :D
