I find it offensive that there is some cohort out here accusing, of all people, Cog Hill Farm of nefarious deeds. "HIDING" all the "help" they "must have". Hey, Jason and Brooke work their rear ends off and those naysayers probably can't even imagine that much hard work getting done. They're just jealous and talentless and worst of all, bitter and mean. Pffft

I never once thought you had help on the farm, other than the buildings and pond work. You and Brooke work so hard, and I am one to say I'm proud of all you accomplished. Now I do know you have one more helper in Mary Carl, and she doesn't care to be on the videos. Keep it up, Coghill family. ❤❤❤

Cog Hill Farm is my absolute favorite! I'm a 71 year old Alabama girl! From Birmingham. I've lived for the last 50 years in Newnan, Georgia. But Alabama is my HOME! Tell Marycarl I would love to see her on the videos because I love to see her help ya'll with her work and super smarts. But I remember my teen years and understand her feelings, so that's alright. LOVE YA'LL!!!❤

You've mentioned many times that it is only you, Brooke and Mary Carl. And being raised on a farm I know how hard farm work is. You can only do so much in one day so I understand how things get put on the back burner❤

All the plants and animals on the farm are like your children! And having "help" on the farm and trusting your "farm children" to be taken care of by them is like sending your real children to a day care center to be taken care of by them! Scary!!😊❤

I think partnering with the local FFA group and have students come and help for their volunteer hours for high school :) They could learn so much from you.

@@CogHillFarmwhat an amazing opportunity for 4H or high school kids possibly the local university students that are learning farming, horticulture- bee keeping - raising farm animals - so many opportunities for those who can learn and volunteer.
I can certainly understand being cautious of others on your property and insurance.
You would need to up your insurance for accident liability etc if you have teens or college kids working for you. One accident and you could loose the farm.

We've gotten help by 4H and FFA high school kids. Mainly to work with us so they can maintain the chores when we are away
The fact that Brooke, Jason, and MaryCarl do all of the farm work on their own is really impressive. It's even more impressive that they are able to consistently get videos out for two UA-cam channels as well. (Manipulating the cameras while doing the work makes doing that work even more impressive. Add to that the editing required to create the final videos to upload to UA-cam, and it's hard to see how they even have time to sleep.) This family is such an inspiration.
Foolish people judge by the yardstick of themselves. I have watched you both for years and am certain that nothing has been hidden . Enjoyed todays video I know that even when I was young don't think I could have kept up with you. Lol
I grew up on a 100acre cash crop family farm, meaning no livestock. Only animals were a couple of dogs and some house cats. There were 3 girls and 2 boys in the family so I mowed the lawns when I got old enough being the youngest. My brothers helped in the fields till they moved away when they went off to school or got married. My sisters helped around the house cleaning and helping with laundry until they got married. It was busy with customers dropping in or answering the phone. I loved it. We had one hired man, us kids called him Big John. He was super tall and wonderfully kind, also because my one brother was also called John. I love watching you build your farm and all the new crops you try out! You are all doing great❤❤❤

Some things are bound to be left behind this year when you consider the fencing job you have done Jason but it’s done now and you won’t have to worry about it again. Just remember what you 3 have achieved since moving to the new farm the change is amazing. You should pat yourselves on your back. Not only do you work on the farm but your videos are inspirational to so many of us and must take an awful amount of time. Keep on making us smile Jason and Brooke and hopefully one day we will once again see our lovely Mary Carl, when she is older and has more confidence but it is definitely the right decision as a parent
I would have sprayed my beans as well Jason not something any of us want to do but as you say there are many ways to garden.
I always say you guys are the hardest working people I have ever saw but you do it cause you love your life you have, if you didn't you wouldn't do it and you always done your way and thanks so much for sharing.

I was thinking, " Did they hire someone?" I knew there wasn't anyone but y'all. That is one reason why the Cog Squad loves and supports you so much - y'all work so hard with love and kindness to each other and your animals. Maybe when the potager garden is done, y'all can slow down a bit while catching up on the rest. I think y'all really don't get a lot of down time.
I never once thought you all had help .People have asked me who I get to help me. I have no one.
I never once even considered that you might have somebody helping! I knew you were doing this all by yourself because of your love for what you do.
They don’t need any help on a day to day basis. They are smart and only take on what they can handle. Of course sometimes they need specialty help, but they can take care of everything.
Well, they might want to expand and take on help, which is something many farms do. Jason even said they think about it. But the idea they'd be hiding it and pretending otherwise is just rude.
Cog Hill farm is my favorite channel 😄. They work so hard to keep their homestead looking good.
Maybe people think you have help to do your work, because you two put alot of people to shame. You two are like a well oiled machine. By the way Jason you and Lester were pretty sneaky on the Saturday live. Loved it.
That’s so strange, why would people think you have staff? People are odd, carry on you’re doing awesome!
Jason two things for a bit of advice. One, use your network to give you recommendations on good help. Two, parcel the work out in projects. Hire someone to help you build the kitchen garden (for example). See how they do. If not what you expect, pay them for that work and move on. Last, don't be guilted into hiring someone. People don't see everything that happens, just the part you put in the videos. Life happens in between. Having said that, I think that you and Brooke work hard and don't know how to ask for help (at least for yourselves). Don't work yourselves into an early grave, take a break. A little help may afford you a weekend off once in awhile to just enjoy time as a family. Whatever you decide, it is your decision, not ours. Ya'all be good.

We just lost our Australian Shepherd BRIX in late January. He was 15 and 1/2 years old. When I see Holly I am reminded of his loyalty and his velcro personality! Always following us around. He was a red merle but no tail. We miss him so very much. Love seeing your attachment to her and her to you.
Never entered my mind that you had outside. Anyone that has watched your videos can see that as a family you all work together to get each task done. You can take such pride in all your accomplishments on the farm. To top it all off you are such a kind and caring family and you are just good people.
