- PolyCloth is a multi-threaded & C++, physics based cloth brushes plugin for 3dsMax developed by PolyDesign.
Physics based PolyCloth allows you to:
Add wrinkles and folds to your meshes with a powerful brush.
Move your mesh like a cloth and simulate cloth behaviour
Use shrink brush to pinch surface of cloth
Use expand brush to increase surface area of cloth and add wrinkles
Use smooth brush to smooth out wrinkles on cloth
Quickly add cool cloth details in a few seconds

Poly Design Rocks! I was always thinking that why someone never created a plug in for cloth effects and wrinkles in 3ds max. It was so time consuming to create base models in 3ds max and then go to Marvelous Designer and create cloth effects and then come back to max and reptopo it. Thank you for creating this script. God bless you. Please keep doing this amazing stuff. I am going to by this. ❤️❤️❤️
WOW !! . Its a treat to see such stuff for max developed by community while blender and zbrush developers are doing this. As usual, Poly design killing it.
The outpouring talent behind the Poly Design team is just out of this world. The things they're achieving inside 3DS Max is just breathtaking. I would have never imagined anything like this ever being possible considering the limitations of 3DS Max and the abnormal lack of updates for it. AutoDesk can be grateful for having such a loyal userbase that continues to create amazingly useful and advanced plugins such as this one. I do have a small fan request for Poly Design, though. There's unfortunately not a single plugin for a more automatic and faster way of creating complex roads and intersections. All of it I'm doing the manual way and it's extremely time consuming. Every time I want to have a road overlapping/intersecting with another, the process of merging them, then stitching the pieces together, removing excess geometry, then finding the most fitting UV flow... all of these steps take an insane toll on my time and workflow. If you guys are by any chance taking fan requests for the next big plugin, this would be mine. Please help us simplify this, the urban environment doesn't get enough love. Thank you for all you do!
omg finally someone who is looking for the same thing!! yesss we need this polydesign! im not a fan of creating roads, streets, junctions using modular pieces because it all starts looking very repetitive and non-organic. i also like to design my own roads individually and then merge them once their ends meet.. its the best way to gain a natural feel and look of the scene.. ideally if polydesign would do this they should also include the ability to curve corners.. for example in a 4 way crossing id love to have the 4 outer corners curved for natural curbs and foot paths. and alsooooo if it would be possible to add a way to cut those roads into terrain so the terrain geometry stitches to the edges of the road geometry. theres a gif of someone trying to do this but they never finished it.. this is how it would look like: us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/fj/wwlx5d7c1rrh.gif

Surface collisions would be amazing, to sculpt folds on clothes above a body geo collision object. Awesome tool!

totally buying this asap.. cant believe I can now do all my cloth modeling in 3dsmax..when blender added this was shocking enough, but seeing this in 3ds is even crazierr! incredible work as always!!
Sad that Blender gets it for free but 3DS gets another paid plugin zzzzz
@@jixal That is why I did not use 3DsMax any more. Blender get better and Better every minute. And its free.

@@jixal Blender has a massive library of paid plugins too. Most competent Blender users have paid for at-least a few lol..
@@Red171 True but 3DS costs $1545 per year so you'd expect it to come pre-packaged with advanced tools :P. The native cloth sim stuff is so ancient and clunky.
Anyways. This plugin is super cool and it's available, the time saved is a small price to pay.

@@PolyDesignTutorials Nice to hear that! Btw, some users use ALT + DRAG for Maya-like orbit rotation so we probably need a shortcut customization in that case.
Hi. Is it possible to animate the cloth by hand in the stop motion manner? For instance animating a character putting the jacket on, etc.

please update it so we can mask it just using face/vertex pick , its better than using brush to mask , because sometimes I just need thin parts like seams to be masked

Thanks. No it is not animatable by default but you can use morph targets to create different states of folds and then animate the morph modifier.

No, it is not possible in Polycloth V2, but it will be added in the v3.

Thanks, you can hold ctrl+alt+shift+ mouse drag up or down to change the size of the brush.

Great tool if everything is one continuous piece.
but If there are elements it will create gaps between them
How do you keep that from happening?
Maybe you can mask the elements that you don’t want to move. Or you can detach the elements as objects and work on them individually.

Can you use custom brushes on this?
No, you can only use the default brushes which are provided by the plugin, move, expand, shrink, smooth etc...
It doesn't work with models imported from Marvelous designer, how can I fix it? (works fine with other types of geometry)
Hi Olena. Can you please give more detail about the problem? Does it crash 3dsmax or it works but not look good as expected? If it is the second case, there may be normals baked into the model and may cause these issues.
Possible fixes would be:
Automatic retopology (retopology modifier)
Or you can add an extra edit poly modifier, normals modifier and then convert the model to editable poly.

Merhaba, .gup olan dosyayı 3dsmax dizinindeki plugins klasörünün içine kopyalayın, ardından 3dsmaxi açın (açık ise kapatıp geri açın). .ms olan dosyayı ise 3dsmax viewportuna sürükleyip bırakın. Ardından 'x' tuşuna basıp polycloth yazarak plugine erişebilirsiniz :)

Hello, did you followed the instructions in "how to install.txt". After copying file to plugins file, you should restart 3dsmax.
