The point to the north would have been cranking, surfed Anga all my life, since 75', that swell is obviously too big for it, 8ft plus it doesn't hug the contour of the point, though if you take a set out back near the platform it can reduce and be epic. the smaller waves are the pic on this day. Optimum when solid 4 to 6. Thanks for the memories
Yeah...sadly it's all unlike when we grew up in the 70's. The crowds are not good however only 15% can usually surf any good. Patience and positioning still works though.

Only place in Oz that I almost got in a fist fight
Love this place
the biggest wave there is probably just 7 ft but it still sure is big
Surfing there in the early 60s…..alone. Five was a crowd. Now a log jam
10 foot?
It was bigger out than it looks on the vid. Classic day!!
4 minutes 6 drop in wow come to Angourie 😂
Parko rates this as his favorite break in aus on it's day. Not many barrels I could see. Maybe wrong swell direction. Alot better breaks come to mind/
Looks pretty dam big to me...
Yep...6 to 8ft, and Angourie crank in'....
Looks like California crowd - in Ozzy now too.
