- So here we have Part 2 that takes us to two of the best slabs on the East Coast of Australia. This time around we feel mother nature gets serious with some real power. Let me tell you that sitting on the ski filming at the second spot got feeling super paranoid. Thanks to Pete Apthorp for putting me in the precarious spot to get the shot. Starring Locals Benny Mabo, Keanu Miller, Dru Parkinson & Eddie Blackwell. Plus Wayne Cleveland, Max McGuigan, Dylan Longbottom, Alex Hayes, Kipp Caddy, Ollie Dousset & Boogers Ben Player, Shane Ackerman & Dane Woods.

The wave at 5:40 is absolutely insane. The fact that he handles the initial foamball impact is mindblowing to me. He almost makes it! If he had, it would have been one of the waves of the year (decade?).

This was so beautifully filmed and edited. These waves are incredible! It makes me wonder how these cold waves compare to teahupoo at a similar size? I would think that this wave would hive chopes a run for its money. Tbh I have no idea though. The biggest wave I have ever ridden would have to be a quarter the size if the smallest one of these!
I'm always so hyped when one of Tim's vids come out. They never fail to take me away from my life problems for 20 minutes or whatever. I'm so grateful and it is just bliss for that short time.

This wave is right outside my front door, when everything is right everybody comes in. There are locals who guard it but the influx of the last few years (since COVID) has ruined its underground vibe. To guys like Kip caddy and Wayne Cleveland, are you so accepting to guys coming to Ours or Shark island? The last couple swells was so busy, the issue is that the wave has serious consequences and the crowd is going to escalate
They are very accepting in my experiences. If your part of the local surf tribe in and around Sydney n the South Coast it’s just like a big brotherhood of like minded hellmen. Kipp n some younger lads are trying to be paid surfers so travelling and surfing different waves is part of the deal. You be a dickhead you get dealt with, that’s how it’s always been. Of course if it’s ya true local and you can hold your own the best ones are yours like Kale, Keanu and Eddy above. Aloha bra 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Yep surfed it for 20yrs was only max 10 of us . I checked it last 2 swells and with the jet skis and amount of people on a tiny takeoff it’s fucked . Why don’t they surf voodoo or their own wave instead fucking it up for the ones who have surfed it . I don’t travel anywhere else to surf .

I have to take your word for it, that the wave is sketchy, or shallow. It doesn't look that different from the waves I used to chase at the bottom of Sunset Cliffs. Best at low tide, a rock ledge reef, hollow but often mushy. Biggest difference is the water temp/color. We were mid 40's F at its coldest & the water was rich with nutrients so it was a dark green color. San Diego is famous for its kelp beds, so the rocks always had a little bit of a cushion fom the kelp growing out of them. Do you get that luxury in Australia ?? Just curious if someone could answer that for me.
Kipp Caddy stands out to me in almost all your videos. I don't know if it is possible to be a local at an entire continent + Tasmania. His style seems so relaxed, coming up in the 1970's that's what we strived for. Sure, you can get barrelled, but can you make it look easy ? Almost like another day at the local beachbreak, sand bottom, 2 foot surf, offshore winds, and all sharks, box jellies, stonefish, etc. have been removed by nets & divers. Tim & Kipp, if you come to the east coast USA, first round is on me (but I don't reccommend it. You'd have to change the channel name to 'surf stories' or 'Pray for Surf' !!)

Storyline of a man in the dark with his own hands in the air with a man who has been a friend of the other two men in his family who has a lot to do and a little more to it and he is very much in the mood for it so he has to do that to himself to be honest I think it’s just that he’s very nice to have him and I don’t think he’s ever really liked him and I don’t want him in his family but he has to do something for his family to do for his own good because he’s very nice to me I don’t know how I feel I just think he’s very kind to me I just think that he’s a very kind and caring and I think he’s a really good guy I think he just kind a look forward and kind and I don’t think he just like you guys have to do that is very nice guy that he doesn’t know what I don’t think about him I don’t think so I’m not gonna say that I just think that makes sense but I’m not sure what you know that makes sense to him being a lot more like you guys are very nice to him being mean and that’s what makes sense and that’s what he doesn’t like that he just like you know what he was like yeah but he doesn’t like to talk about that and that’s not how he was supposed like 👍 but I don’t

The truth is south coast surfers are always worried about alligators, but they have hundreds of sea snakes to deal with a swell so its powerful for a balance and happy life.

The only way I could do it was to get the kids a gift certificate and I could do that it was a little more expensive but it would be nice if I had to do it for the first year and then we can get it done for free so that we could get it for free and then I could just do the first month of the year and I can get the money for it to be done in a year and then the first month and a quarter of a month so that would help a little but it was just to make it sure
