Code Veronica is my favorite RE game of all time!! My friends and I all chipped in for a Dreamcast for it when it came out. The way it used the controller to show your health and the fact it was two seperate campaigns used to blow our mind. Also the first RE with dual wielding- I really hope they make a remake of this, i think it would do geeat!
Tbh I don’t exactly like code Veronica as I find it to be one of the weaker titles of the series because of the many issues I had when playing the game and not just the game blocking moments like monster Steve or the plane tryant, but the characters and story I found to be even more goofier than anything RE4 could cook up. I like Claire and like Wesker and Chris is okay but I just caaaann’t with Steve, Alfred and even Alexia in some parts. Lastly, I’m not the biggest fan of the Prison island setting, as I feel the setting is not as lived in or even tragic as say a city or village being ravaged by a virus. It’s a prison island filled with Umbrella employees and prisoners who may or may not deserve to be locked away (Steve and his dad being the exception). Plus I find prisons to be as boring as a graveyard. But this is not for me but the fans of Code Veronica because if there is any game that deserves a do over (besides RE3 as that was a trainwreck and all involved should feel embarrassed) it’s Code Veronica.
I agree with basically all that you said. However, I do think a prison setting can be good if used correctly. It can be claustrophobic, being trapped with zombies on a small island. The villains will definitely need to be reworked. Alfred's goofy dolphin laugh always cracks me up. This game NEEDS it for sure. I don't like playing CV. I've tried and just can't get into it. But I would be very interested in a remake. Especially if they tie things into the new games in clever ways.
Not that I am aware of. And if they did, their mind has definitely been changed. The have had polls where fans spammed CV as being a remake. And, if you saw my Operation Javier video, it seems they are heavily hinting at that. And it would logically only fit in with a CV remake.
I mentioned tihs before. Code Veronica DOES NOT NEED a remake. Also, the setting of code Veronica is not likely NOT in europe. Given all the artifacts, Code Veronica most likely took place in South Africa, or a nearby island. Remember, code Veronica takes place in the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE, and I don't think Europe has a presence in the southern hemisphere. Remember also, it's december, and you see rainfall in CVX. meaning it took place during a southern hemisphere summer. So, claire was taken from Paris to this southern hemisphere location. Also, Operation Javier doesn't need to involve the Veronica virus, as the entire storyline is being rewritten. Watch my vid where I compare cVX and DSC to learn more. @@RacoonCityPizza SOUTHERN hemisphere, taken from Europe. Your BEST option is SOUTH AFRICA, or a nearby island in the SOUTHERN hemisphere. Also, if you are to believe in the initial concepts, the original versions of Alfred and Alexia were EXTREMELY RACIST, something you see that has a historical presence in South Africa. What gives this away more are the somewhat comedic british accents of Alfred and Alexia, which is closer to a South African accent instead of an Australian one.

The Southern most country in Europe is Greece, which is in the Northern Hemisphere. Also, it is close to Antarctica, by a somewhat short flight by a cargo seaplane. Do the math. The place closest to Paris that fits the bill best is in the southern hemisphere part of Africa, most likely South africa. As for the original concept, I think this was either in the japanese strategy guide, or some other japanese document, that Alfred and Alexia had German names and were children of escape Nazis. All pieces points towards a remote location either on or close to South Africa.
I only wish a Re CV remake, the game deserves it more than any other to be fair. They need to re invent it. Hopefully Capcom will hear us fans

I thought they said no because cv didn't sell as well, also 3 remake didn't sell like hot cakes because it had such bad reception.
