- I sent my buddy Nate back to Ole Miss with a mess of beautiful Speckled Trout. His Fraternity will be eating good for a few nights. He had a blast catching one after another the dude has eagle eyes. He spotted some working birds 3/4 of a mile in the distance boy did it pay off for us. He will be back in late November to fish the trestle with me. He told me about the awesome sac au lait fishing up there in Ms that I will have to try out in Feb. I'm just going to buy a year non resident license. I will be hitting the Ms saltwater fish also next summer. I'm going to show the Ms guys how to catch them with lures no live croakers needed for them big girls. Stay tuned...

I like driving thru those gates. Something kinda cool about it.
Well AJ, once again you treated someone to a lesson in Speckled trout fishing that no book nor anyone else could ever do!
That was a awesome evening of fishing!! I don’t believe that guy will ever forget this trip.
I know that I would not forget the trip or that rocket boat ride back to the dock!! HaHa!
You would’ve shut me down at 45mph 😂. But I agree Nate had a blast!!
AJ ,
What a fantastic quick trip. Loved watching it. Tell your buddy Nate thanks for showing you how to truly fish he’s fantastic.
You have a little competition with him on the boat
He listens to my advice and catches fish. Unlike hard head you know who 😆
@@Laproduceman I really enjoyed that video. Thanks for all your time and effort A.J.
Glad you enjoyed 👍
@@Laproducemannobody mentioned Cisco until you.
I didn’t say no names 😆. But let’s face it my mother can catch fish in the birds 😂
Great video, glad y'all caught a mess. The wife and I were down there a while back and stayed at The Wharf right there and told the owner we were coming back for sure. We had such a good time we are going to be moving down that way in a few years after our daughter goes off to college. New subscriber here keep the videos coming.
that's some big trout now
O YES , GO MOM GO MOM 🎉
She won’t get in this boat she said I run to fast for her.
Very nice trip. I was very glad to see someone beside myself who likes and uses the Calcutta. Little heavy but one tuff reel.
Like I told someone definitely workhorses like Garcia 4500 and 5000.
Let your friend know from now on we are going to call him eagle ..That was a good trip...
He spotted them birds from a crazy distance he’s the man we had about 20 fish at the time. In very short order we had them
For any of you guys wonder if his boat is fast…..IT’S A DAMN ROCKET!!! Oh by the way AJ that was a nice little awesome trip ya’ll had there, the kind you dream about when u can just cast out and reel it in and catch a trout just about every cast! Great video buddy!
Nate had a great trip he was thrilled. It’s nice when I can just stand there take the fish off and just run the trolling motor 😆
Holy Crap AJ! That was a beat down. Just had to trade in Cisco for a younger dude to get some help.
I heard that i was just taking them off for him that was nice 😆
I call it AJ,s comet. Great trip the sunset going back to the dock was awesome. Thanks
That sky was why I left it in the video. Thanks for watching Larry.
Great trip guys! Looking forward to getting on some real soon. I will give you a shout next week AJ. Thanks for the video.

😂 I think he trusted me.
Click, click, click!
Good box

I need to try up that way one of these years
👍
Awesome trip,AJ🎣🐠Told ya bout my Medicare Client who loaned me incredible Johnson Service Manual, covering motors from 40-55 hp and easy to follow with diagnostic charts PLUS tools and adapters to make jobs easier. They list Evinrude tool numbers and should come in handy. Nick and I took a chance and fished the Bayou Lacombe area today,I managed to hook big stingray plus foul-hooked tiny blue catfish and we did see two guys nab about five decent specks, looked like Dey was using ya ole-school sparkle beetles looking this glow color. Got few more parts to show up then should have ole Power Trim better than original.
No I didn’t fish today. Sounds like you might have a better working trim. Good luck with it
I see you taking advantage of the evening bite to avoid the googans lol
You got it Cliff they all gone home when I’m putting in 😂
Then I don’t have to get up at 2:45am that’s the best part
@@Laproducemanit was a boat show out there this Saturday morning. No less than 5 people ran over my line lol. I’m done with that area for a bit so I’ll be hitting up hopedale this weekend
@cliffhalljr3426 Jesus 😆 that’s why I quit fishing that area.
Where did yall launch from?
Your friend fishing with the old school round reel.
Awesome Catch, Had Some Nice Mules In The Beginning, Glad You Don't Mind a Little Fish Flavor On Your Drinks Lol.. Definitely a Good Idea To Keep That CounterFrom The Beginning, Pain In The Butt To Have To Count Them When They're Biting. You Had Yourself a Fish Catcher In The Boat Today, Gave You a Run For Your Money, Which I'm Sure You Welcomed, And That Camera Angle Look As Though Yall Were Throwing Over Each Other, Was An Optical Effect I Guess. Nice Box Fun Looking Trip, Good Job 👍😎 BTW : Whats Up With Those Disco Party Barges?
Thanks for watching. Them party boats carry tourist to go look at the wall that protects the city. They also do party’s on it by the hour. But what they don’t realize they will be met by the hyenas a.k.a. mosquitoes when they get off that boat 😆. And they’re out in full force like I’ve never seen before at dark!!
@@Laproduceman Somebody's Making Some Money, Guess They'll Be Drinking Enough Alcohol To Fend Them Off or Not Worry About Them Until The Next Day🦟🍾🍸🍷🍹🍻🥃🦟🦟
I need to get a pack of the dark avocado
They have been killers for me.
Great video.. I’m heading out there this weekend !! What size jig head were you guys using
Thanks we were using 3/8. Cisco tried 1/2 oz and couldn’t get a bite the other day. I tried a 1/2 oz when we were fishing the deep water and I couldn’t get a bite. I put the 3/8 back on and continued to catch fish again.
How come you don't do catch clean and cook's that's the icing on the cake, I mean your videos are exciting but everyone catches them, only a few actually take the time to show how they clean and cook them up, i know y'all are eating them
I only fry them 12”-14” trout. Give away the larger ones.
What area are you fishing?Have had rotten luck in Rigolets and need to learn new areas
That’s the wall area Chalmette
Nice slam! What size jighead did you need to get the bait down?
3/8 I never fish anything heavier no matter what depth or current.
Man don’t just hate having to count them like that 😜 , nice haul though
Yep I thought that what drift bags are for 🤷. Nate had a blast!!
You get such a tiny filet from a 12 inch trout, I think it’s better to throw them back and let them grow and populate. Eat the 14 to 18 inch fish and also throw back the bigger trout to spread the bigger trout genes…. Thoughts?
I rather eat 12”-14” trout. I personally don’t want 15-20” fish to eat but that’s just me. I have friends that will keep 20”-23” and eat them everyone is different. But if we can’t keep 12” fish then you might as well not fish August and September until you have deep pockets to run way outside.
Unless you have deep pockets
Yeah… everybody’s different…. I don’t particularly enjoy catching 12 inch trout. I won’t mind if they up the size limit it may produce larger classes of fish in the long run.
I imagine there’s a lot of people that sit there and watch you catch fish. It’s definitely a finesse technique and not many people know how to do it.
@rorychag I would agree with that. I fish 5-6 different cadences until I find what works. Hopefully people can understand that I’m sure you understand. Hopefully we didn’t get off on the wrong foot about the trout size. If I’m with somebody that spends their money to catch fish I feel like they have the right to keep anything they want. I’m not against a 15 fish limit 12”-20” maybe one over 20”. But the guys with bigger boats and deep pockets will just run outside and keep all the 19-20 something were throwing back. Just my opinion. But like I said if we can’t keep 12” trout in Louisiana we might as well not fish until fall.
How heavy was your jig head man? That current is fast there. Kelly
3/8 I personally tried a 1/2 and couldn’t get a bite. They want the bait riding with the tide on a slack line
The current is smoking that’s why Cisco struggled. The young guy could adapt to what I was doing because he’s not set in his ways. And it helps he’s a good bass fisherman.
@@Laproduceman 😂
New to the channel. Was wondering what year is your champion
It’s a 1996 186 very good riding boat in chop.
What rod/reel combo do you normally use?
Mine is pretty costly because I have a bad wrist. I wanted as light of a setup as I can get.
13 fishing 7’1 medium light
Lews custom lite
30lb braid
15lb leader mono or floro what ev
With all that talking and chit chatting I'm surprised y'all can catch fish. 😁
😆
Where did yall launch from
Bayou Bienville Chalmette
What tide chart do you look at for bayou benvinue
Paris road
Tides4fishing website
Thanks
AJ, how fast you get up in that boat? 50+?
63 mph loaded 2 people 66-67 one person and gear
@@Laproduceman holy crap man! That's awesome!!
What's the setup, boat make and motor?
You should do a tour video of your boat and gear setup for fishing brother....
@kingairvwable 1996 186 Champion 175hp it’s a old boat that I would have a hard time getting rid of because it rides really good for its size.
what kind of boat you got?
