One of my favorite, especially as it’s from glenmorangie. The sherry character is very forward here and I love it. Glenmorangie has always been good to me and I have ordered the 18 years and can’t wait to taste it.
I just found your channel, and I am so happy I did. You're the only person I've seen or met that uses the same verbiage when describing certain scotches. So therefore, thank you.
This whisky would dang near be my favorite scotch of all time if it was non-colored/unchill-filtered, and bumped back up to 46% abv. Still a shockingly good dram as it is though.
I've only just gotten into whiskey, mostly Bourbon, but the Lasanta was delicious was a real treat as my first introduction to Scotch! I keep coming back to it as I've found others so far have been too smokey or petey.
Herr Luening... Can you please do a review of Bushmills 16 in English. It is one of my favorite whiskies and I would greatly appreciate your opinion on it. Vielen Dank.
I think it has a very good balance between the notes/layers. I don't care is the cheapest of the extra matured products from GM. I like this wk, and I liked the comments.
BY FAR one of the best “bang for your buck” single malts out there. If you blind tasted this with something like the Macallan 12 Sherry… you would struggle tell the difference. It’s half the price of the Macallan.
Tasting this one for the first time as I watch your review and I am getting a strange finish to this one. I beleive I have had this same taste from Oban...I beleive your review of Oban said "something rotten from the sea" and that is what i am getting from this one. Not bad...but i didn't care for Oban much...thanks for your great reviews Horst!
Just picked up a bottle of this, I think? Strange because my card box the bottle is in is a much more bright red than the burgundy one you have. Strange. More to follow, I suppose
Terrible to me, bought from specs. Smell was off for me taste consistent with smell. Maybe I got a bad bottle. The Original was very good and was expecting next level with the lasanta but not to be.
Sorry Horst, but this new 43 abv is not anywhere as good as the original 46% non-chill filtered. Chill filtering removes the oils that contributed to the stronger flavour of the 46% and I was disappointed to find out that the 46% has been discontinued. At least as a foreigner you managed to pronounce it correctly as GlenMORangie and not GlenmorANGIE as a lot of people do!
I disagree with Horst; I find this whisky to be very bitter, especially in the finish. Granted, he said there is no bitterness from the oak, and maybe that is true, but there is bitterness from somewhere. To my taste, this also seems like it was aged only 3-5 years - 5 being generous - certainly not 12. I know a lot of others really like it, but I will not buy it for myself again.
Don't want to lean into the hyperbole, but Horst speaks of the 40% decline in sherry production with the sorrow and reverence of a man who has lost his first born male heir to a skiing accident.
I was stunned when I tried this Whisky for the first time. Unexpectedly nice on the nose and so palatable. Well worth the price.
by far the most enjoyable whisky I've tried

Just tried this one. As others have said, it really is excellent. I almost can't believe it's this good for the price. Try it if you haven't.
I tried this in a sampler pack of 4 Glenmorangie whiskys and it stood out more than the others to me. It's very nice and warrants a bottle!

They had a sale on it at my local store. Picked some up! Look forward to enjoying a glass tonight.
I sat and had a glass with you. I enjoyed your commentary.

Nice review! I'll be referring to your wealth of knowledge from here on. Thank you!

Thank you so much so the review. I was planning on purchasing this bottle, now I've got an idea of what I'm getting. Thank you

Always a great review! Thank you for the knowledge.
My wife got me a bottle for our 12th anniversary...I quite enjoy it.
Drinking now... Very nice on the pallet....
Just tried a "taste" of my Lasanta 12. Whoa, smooth, fruity, sweet. VERY, VERY good. GREAT TASTE. A++++
The most beautiful whisky I've tasted.. excellent whisky
It's a nice one. It's closer in taste to the 10 year than the Quinta Ruban and the Nectar D'Or are.
Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 is just amazing
excellent review
Excellent review!

Great review of one of my favorites. I look forward to the Port wood finish review.
Yes me too
I, too, like this whiskey. I noticed you drank it neat. What is your thought adding a few drops of water to open the flavor?
He drinks it neat. When its not cask strengt
Enjoyed this one very much!
This is my favorite scotch. Don't forget to try it with your favorite cigar.
I have wonderd: does adding colouring to the whisky affect the taste? Or do onnoisseurs not like added colour simply for aesthetic purposes?
Dale M Chatwin doesn’t affect taste, it’s all visual.
Aaah... !! Almost too nice to drink 😃 having it right now & can't ignore your comment 👍

Packaging was changed recently but the whiskey is still the same for this expression
Great review
Simply devine.
In your opinion, which do you prefer necta d’or or lasanta? Thanks
Best taste shd try signet also
I agree one of my favorite single malt whiskies
Keep on "swishing."
Your 'uuummm' is ultimate 😆
I wasnt that impressed with it, but Ardbeg 10 is more my preference
Ben Arnesen Ardbeg 10 is a fantastic whiskey and one of my favs
Apples and oranges totally different types of whisky.
8:04 - 8:10 best moment

Maybe you drank to much 😂
