That's exactly what I really thought for these promotion events. It does not reflect of what they can really do in the game since they has not given the time.
Usually when I do time trials and I get to the point of not being able to complete a lap, the only thing to do is just leave it for a few hours, then come back and make some decent lap times, always improving after some rest!
Agreed. You definitely need to take breaks throughout. I'd personally recommend about 20 minutes at a time at the most before taking 5-10 minutes away.

Sounds like me with dailies. I check the top times and add +3 or so seconds to roughly estimate my optimum time. So far that's been accurate except for maybe 6 times I surprised myself. 😅

As someone who spent far too long trying to get a good time on this challenge, I found myself laughing at every issue you had because it mimicked the exact same issues I was having with it (Turn 1 sliding wide, Degna 2 track limits, 130r track limits, final chicane starting the lap limits). Was comforting to know that someone who is actually good at this game was having the same issues. Either way I beat Yuki's time so I'll be sure to shout you out when they announce me as Alpha Tauri's next driver.
When I find myself in a situation that I need to do one lap but I fail every time, I take it as a sign to bite the bullet and just grind laps after laps without restarting. It might take more time than with restarting, but at the same time keeping in the flow helps refresh and polish my reflexes.
This video legit gave me more drive to go further in my time attack runs. I give up once the frustration and single brain cell moments start to take ahold, but I really need to power through like you did. The second wind can come back strong, after all! Thanks for this!

Time trial tip of the day: 16:56 when restarting and running the same car, switch the bottom right "session best" display to secondary "car best" mode, so you can see the diff of the splits.
@@kaspera-1528 either of the MFD+/- or the MFD up/down ones. Can't recall from memory but the other one, which doesn't traverse through the radar/timetable/map/breakbalance stb. Actually the exact same buttons you use to adjust the break balance, just used on the time table. Edit: you need to have a lap time with that car to be able to switch over to that view.
The way he describes the consistency dropping while time trial-ing is exactly what happens to me with missions. I get really close to a gold result, then forget how to drive for about 150 attempts, then It finally happens after my shoulders, brain and marriage have exploded.

This was a freaking Joke time trial I was expecting to have to work to beat him not beat him on my 4th lap I missed the last beat the pro’s I wish this one woulda been in the sf19 Yuki shoulda practiced more or had Verstappen or a Bottas do the the lap for him and say Yuki did it, they mentioned other drivers might be getting involved I guess none of them could drive that very hard to drive NSX, it drives nothing like the BoP’d NSX it’s crazy the difference
Its cause most don't play GT Sport. As realistic as it gets, it still has idiosyncrasies that make it different to real driving and takes time to get used to. I suspect they throw the drivers in the chair, give them a few warm up laps and then take a time.

As a JDM lover, I prefer not to race other JDM cars because it’s all love and smiles here from Subaru to Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi and Toyota. I love going toe to toe with American muscle and showing those guys what a 4 banger can do. I’ve got half the pistons they have and still leave them in the dust lol they don’t have an excuse lol

I play on suzuka and nurburgring with heavy rain in cars with sort of tricky handling like bmws and corvettes or ill use the nascar vehicles on circuits they have no business on and take breaks inbetween absolutely binning it. Whenever im taking a break or not playing im probably watching a supergt video trying to learn or laugh and it all does wonders.

I just got into rally racing. And with a game like Dirt Rally 2 learning the tracks via time trials seems like the sanest thing to do. But I do find it frustrating at times, like you said end up with just 1 brain cell and seemingly forget how to drive. But once you achieve a gain and breakthrough its so satisfying. Anyway, glad to hear im not the only one who gets frustrated at time trials. :D
Its an amazing feeling beating an F1 driver, I once beat Kubica in RSRBR... made me feel like rocking up to the front door of McLaren and demanding a shoot out with Button to try and take his seat. :D

In my opinion, they let the F1 driver do their "best" lap, and they use the track limits of that lap to determine the track limits for the challenge. By doing so, they create the standard of difficulty.

Degner curve was infuriating. The ghost I used definitely abused the curb more than I did and got away with it.
You can really abuse those, I've found. Don't think I've ever gotten a penalty for cutting either of them and I've gone deep at times

This video is crazy because you see a high, high level of skill completely devolve back into infant level understanding of physics, then in the same video, see it build back up to high skill again.

2. Have you ever driven a real car?
Being good in a sim like that doesn’t work in the real world as you must understand. However I do like to see you make a video where you race an actual race car and am interested in your take on that.
I know if I pick up any of these games I'd be completely horrible at them but you make them look really enjoyable.

In my opinion, they let the F1 driver do their "best" lap, and they use the track limits of that lap to determine the track limits for the challenge. By doing so, they create the standard of difficulty.
#1 time is Vallero Gallo who drives for Honda in Manufacturers championship. Yes he's very comfortable in that car.
