The weirdest thing I find about this scene is that Kyle has his own walking animation. Like actual walking animation where he uses his legs, not just the typical south park hopping walk animation.
Nice! I love how you noticed that small detail, I only realized they did different animations for the boys walking in the movie. Like during the songs or when they’re running happily and stuff. (Also goes to show how much smoother the animation has gotten since the 90s)
I have noticed them use it on other characters in different scenes. They've done it with Randy for sure. I think it's just when they are more so trying to emphasizd the movement. But the little details like that really make the show all the more better!
If you ever want to introduce South Park to someone's that never watched it, be sure to show em' this clip. It perfectly clarifies Cartman's obsession with Kyle
Ironically, Kyle briefly owned a pet elephant in a season 1 episode, where his mother wouldn’t allow it in her house (as she normally does) because it was too big. And this scene references a movie about an elephant (Dumbo).
Thanks, I love that scene so much. The trident is a menorah :D I tried using shazam on the music but no luck. I think it's specially made for the episode.
When Trey and Matt make references to classic cartoons… It is definitely my goal to ruin Cartman’s life, by stealing Heidi, foiling his plans, and make him very MISERABLE!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! AHH- what a bad dream
Thanks for this video. As a 90’s kid, I’ve seen the first two and I knew there had to be a third one at 0:41 but I’ve never seen “Cats Don’t Dance” before. Now my curiosity is piqued. Is it a good movie?
South park referenced classic movies here. Now I just hope they make a reference to the games back in my time I used to play ( Sly, Jak, Ratchet, and Spyro )
Someone explain this to me... I get the references to Dumbo, Little Mermaid, and Cats Don't Dance. I get the live action footage, but what I don't understand is... What's with the flag burning part? How does that connect to Kyle or Cartmen's hatred of him?
The American flag scene is born due to the fact that in the episode Cartman comments to Token that due to his anger with society he wants to do what people of color used to or usually do in relation to riots for certain social issues (I don't know in actuality), in this or previous seasons Cartman used to make this kind of references like the World War Z one. It is all related however it is still a racial joke about the behavior of African American people (black lives matters) in recent years according to Cartman's comments in the episode.
Everytime I see this scene I keep thinking it just goes on and on while Cartman is still imagining Kyle and they keep doing references to different horror movies and Disney shows 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣😂🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
The weirdest thing I find about this scene is that Kyle has his own walking animation. Like actual walking animation where he uses his legs, not just the typical south park hopping walk animation.
Well if he did do the south park style of walking, it wouldn’t look as good
The only time some of the budget went into a character animation
Nice! I love how you noticed that small detail, I only realized they did different animations for the boys walking in the movie. Like during the songs or when they’re running happily and stuff. (Also goes to show how much smoother the animation has gotten since the 90s)

They often do that when the characters are running
I feel like the part where Cartman shouts "Kyle! Kyle! Kyle Kyle Kyle!" can also reference Heffalumps and Woozles from Winnie-the-Pooh.
Someone should make a fan heffalumps and woozles reference scene.
ua-cam.com/video/CLnADKgurvc/v-deo.html
More like Beware?
Dumbo’s scene was a reference to that so it’s not unlikely.
you mean kahl?
Kyle should totally sing "Big and Loud" now
Thats a 100^ a cartman esc song
He should
Why did Cartman burn down the United States flag
@@rentertainment23it's Cartman what do you expect

I just noticed that lol
How did i never noticed that? Lol

Thanks! :)
Can't believe that South Park just referenced Cats Don't Dance.
Same, I love that movie so much!
I knew it referencing something but I couldn't put my finger on it
Kind of a shocker since the film is very underrated.
I’m surprised myself
The father just seems chill
everyone in South Park looks like they’re so complacent towards Cartman and his antics to even seem concerned about him
Look Out! Look Out! Pink Kyles on Parade!
I call the music playing "KYLE!!!" or "pink Jews on parade".

And someone remembered Cats Don't Dance.
I love how in tune Cartman screaming "Kyle" and the music. Damn, I love this show.
I saw this episode the night it aired with 2 friends and we were laughing so hard at this I thought one of us was going to have a heart attack.
Dumbo, Little Mermaid, and Cats Don't Dance. These are one of my nostalgic movies ^^
Watch them again
I love how Kyle just looks so happy while walking with Eric’s screaming KYLEEEEE!!
the audio feels like you watch a movie in the theater.
Why is this a much less traumatizing scene to watch than the actual scene it was based off of?!!
Kyle maniacal laugh is adorable
Also the part where pink Kyle's were walking out of the broken heart got me lol 🤣
I burst out laughing when it showed Jewish people dancing for some reason
0:27 and 0:39
It’s not even animated
Cartman just thinks they're all the same.
Lyrics:
Kyle? _Kyle?_ *KYLE!!* Kyle! Kyle! Kyle, Kyle, Kyle! KYLE! Kyle… *_KYYYLE!!!_* _KYYLE!!_ Kyle.
Yeah, Kyle!
0:35 hes holding the fucking hanukkah candles
How the fuck did I not notice that. That’s an amazing attention to detail
It's a menora, FYI
Cat's Dont Dance was my MOVIE back in the day, im so glad they referenced it lol "Shut Up Max!" 🤣
Kyle?
Kyle?!
KYLE!!!
Kyle!
Kyle!
Kyle, Kyle, Kyle!
KYLE!
Kyle...
*KYLE!!!*
(Kyle cackles)
AAAAHH!!!
(Kyle cackles)
Kyle...
Yeah, Kyle.
*Meanwhile at South Park Elementary...*
Thanks for the lyrics. I couldn't keep up without them.
Cartmen didnt actually scream. If you listen closely he actually screams another "kyle"
What?
Cartman: Kyle, Kyle, Kyle, Kyle... Kyle!!!
Token's dad: Yeah, Kyle.
Matt stone and trey Parker did a good job ngl
Ironically, Kyle briefly owned a pet elephant in a season 1 episode, where his mother wouldn’t allow it in her house (as she normally does) because it was too big. And this scene references a movie about an elephant (Dumbo).

The trident is a menorah :D
I tried using shazam on the music but no luck. I think it's specially made for the episode.
Actually it's just an instrumental 'Elephants on Parade' from Dumbo. If you watch the original scene it's the same tune, just with someone singing
Cartman:Kyle....
Steve:Yeah Kyle
I didn't know Cats Don't Dance was that popular.
I'm not gonna lie I am laughing at this
*Bonus Points for referencing my Childhood movie: Cats don't dance*
This might have been the funniest bit EVER from this show….😂😂😂
no one talks about the little detail of the Ursula reference where instead of a trident it’s a fucking menorah
moral orel rare
Cartman was so mad South Park started making references.
Pink elephant in north playground:
0:29 - 0:31 could also be a variation on Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)
Mostly pure coincidence, but it's kinda cool that the animated films referenced were in chronological order.
the menorah as a trident superb reference
0:19-0:27 = dumbo
0:35-0:39 = the little mermaid
0:41-0:46 = cats don’t dance
The Cats Don’t Dance one was my favorite part
Not the menorah trident😭
i love kyle’s walk lol

Yes. It was my favorite animated musical movie as a kid and it still holds up.
Good point even know it was one of those movie that bomb at the box office
Cat’s don’t dance is so good it’s one of my favorite animated movies I definitely suggest watching it.
Oh yeah.
I loved how they used Disney and non Disney films for this 😊
Now if only that scene was used for the Pink Elephants in the House of Mouse crossover...
Cats don’t dance actually came out the same year South Park first premiered on tv
The SECOND I heard the Pink Elephant fanfare, I knew
PINK KYLES ON PARADE

I think its just meant to be extreme for the sake of comedy lol
It references to when Cartman asks Tolkien and his family when they will burn the American flag in the episode
