Hi there, The instructions that came with our Dyson ball were completely incomprehensible and the website said page not found. We were utterly frustrated until we came across your video. You explained the assembly so clearly and concisely, we were genuinely saying Bless this man! And sending you so many well wishes, you saved our mental health. For reals. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts .
Thank you so so much!! After 2 phone calls, and 2 video calls with Dyson who couldn't help me assemble my vacuum you came to the rescue!! You are fantastic I can't thank you enough!!
Got to love the fact that Daisy sits there and makes you vac around her. Tools on board always the best idea but it looks a little clunky, so looking forward to the demo to hear what you have to say about it.
I remember watching your channel growing up, nice to see you're still making videos. I'm 21 now and I'm no longer into vacuums but I am a car enthusiast now.
This is the Dyson what I like. I have no idea why their cordless vacuums all are stick type. It's terrible decision when they have technology but not a single cordless upright.
Yup. In Singapore where I live, only have cordless Dyson that is stick form, I dont like to use the cordless stick as my daily vacuum. Very tiring on my arms and cannot clean under low furniture without me have to squat on the floor also very heavy to hold high up above my head to clean my celling lights. Also cordless cylinder will also be better too. Can clean under low furniture very well. Even the cordless upright like this Dyson in this video does well cleaning under low furniture
The Small Ball is not only the only Dyson I’ve ever liked but also the only bagless vacuum I’ve ever liked but I’m happy to have never gotten involved in owning a bagless. I’ve used the Small Ball however and liked the functionality and quirkiness of form.
I didn't have to look at the written instructions that came with the machine as you explained it perfectly, I just followed your video and assembled it in no time. I will be keeping your video for a reference until I get used to how things work. Thank you so much...***** 5 stars
I didn’t like early Dysons, I thought the first one was really flawed with an awkward hose that gets turned upside down so you end up poking the very bit you hold in upright mode into all the mucky crevices. However later models were a great improvement. We had a Ball model at work though and there was a curved door on the sphere itself which enclosed the motor and it kept coming loose and catching on the body of the cleaner, ruining an otherwise OK vacuum. When I purchased my first cordless Dyson, a V6, it was a revelation! I live in Lincolnshire and Dyson also does a lot of farming around here, they’re really keen on innovation, sustainable and regenerative farming. They’ve a huge series of glasshouses what produce AMAZING sweet strawberries!
Actually an impressive machine when it came to grit pickup. I'm not a Dyson fan either but this one has impressed me as well. The only bagless machine I use fairly regularly is my Rainbow E2 black. Rainbow systems from Rexair are probably the first residential machines to boast a computer controlled brushless motor, the first machines that's bagless and doesn't lose performance, but unlike a Dyson full sized corded vacuum, it can do wet cleanup as well.
Thank you so much for this. We got one today and were struggling to fathom it. Your video was so clear and easy to understand, much better than others I watched beforehand. I was on the verge of giving up. The instructions they give you are useless.
Thank you. Your video is the best and most detailed video on the Dyson 3 animal. I wished I had found your video earlier in my setting up of my new Dyson. I now know where and how to store all the attachments.
Roger, I have the Dyson small ball from 2020 and even today I am fighting the hose. It does not get any easier and the hoover always falls over or follows me and hits me up the backside when trying to use it. Mine doesn't work as good as the Sebo X1 on stairs.
Thanks mate your vid showed me how to attach and release the wand as the online manual does not and after 2 to 3 hours of getting more and more angry it totally slipped my mind to look on youtube. Thanks again you stopped me from turning in to the incredible hulk and throwing it out the window.
A great explanation - unlike the minimal assembly instructions it comes with .. thanks so much. The machine itself is great and finally we have a machine capable of dealing with the dog hair. However, you are SO right about the hose - how annoying is it to feel restricted by the hose when you want the small tools' precision. But overall I'm pleased
Thanks so much for this. Just bought this model new (but reduced) and there was no instruction manual. And Dyson machines have always been a bit like The Krypton Factor to assemble anyway so your video is much needed. Thanks
Thank you for your video. I had no idea how the handle clicked in and the hose go down. I thought it was faulty until I came across your video. Thanks again
I might get that version of the soft dusting brush for my big ball cylinder if I can get it on it's own. The combination tool is very good but the lenght of the crevice tool is a little too long for dusting high shelfing and because of the angle of the handle
I like the handle/wand design, I have a earlier version of the first 700watt Dyson ball it’s good but has a few issues with the hose is a pain, but the upright mode is good and it’s one of early one with changeable floor settings. Totally agree I was never big Dyson fan, but the newer ones I think are notably better in my opinion. Ps I like your glass tables in the lounge.
How easy is the HEPA filter in the ball to replace? The Dyson Ball I had was an absolute nightmare. Not to mention the replacement filter was $90. I basically had to remove half the ball just to get to the filter to replace it.
4:50 in this video, you can see there is a blue cap on the left side ball. You can unscrew this by hand and the hepa filter is inside. It twists to remove and can be washed, dried and replaced easily.
This one is basically the same as the Dc40 with exact same fixtures and fittings and the same suction . Just this one is more exoensive as they brand and sell it as new out .
Why does no one show how to put the wand back into the hose after it’s pulled out? We just got ours and can’t figure out all the instructions say is slide back in! It does not slide!!!
I had the same problem today and it was solved by watching this video, just after he attaches the brush head he gives a demo on how to attach the wand to the hose and how to remove it - brilliant!
Found the video very helpful.. The assembly instructions that came with the machine wasn't helpful at all. Dyson phone call wasn't helpful and referred me to U Tube .where a stumbled across this video. Glad I dd .
Hello Roger, I have an upright DC14 if you’re interested in buying as I’m about to sell it , it’s in very good condition and I’ve just cleaned it , not sure if it’s to your standards xxxx
The dusting brush has been designed wrong. It should have been flat fixing not have the neck on it. My previous one was flat and you could get it into compartments on furniture. Can’t do that now due to the angle it’s now at.

They do stick form because they think it’s better for movement around chair legs and etc.
I just spent an hour trying to push the handle back in this saved me from breaking it thank you so much ! 😅

I have this machine and I think it’s fabulous on carpets. Always picks up grit etc surprises me as we don’t wear shoes in the house! X

Invaluable video. Dyson should sponsor this and link to it on their website. I love their cleaners but instructions from them are woeful.
Thanks. This helped me get started. Now I just want my house to be as clean and tidy as yours :)

Last year they brought this machine to the US market called the Animal 3. I’m hoping to get one at some point to review on my channel.
They did but not quite. The US version is based off the DC41 and still doesn't have the removable handle that the UK version has

Both my dogs are lovely, but Daisy the Dachshund is the loveliest.
Can anyone tell me what it's like for picking up human hair from carpets and does it get tangled up in the brush bar? TIA.
It would depend on the length of hair, but animal hair doesn’t get tangled in my experience.
