What's really amazing is that if you saw someone 30 or 40 years old singing that well you would be raving about them but she is 10 🤯. It's beyond amazing, it's Mozart level genius pure and simple, she writes and performs her own songs too. It's just ridiculously good.

@@toraguchitoraguchi9154 I may be mistaken but i think Mozart started playing at age 5 and composing by age 8 and never had any lessons. Angelina started singing about 5 and she was writing songs within a year of Norway got talent again with no lessons, so you imagine correctly and the parallel is fair. If she could achieve even a quarter of what he achieved she will be a superstar just like Mozart was in his day playing for Kings etc.

It occurred to me that if this had happened a hundred years ago, and then something had happened to her -- like fell off a cliff or something --- and then people would try to say how good this girl WAS ... NOBODY would believe them. Today we have a recording to prove Angelina really is this good. Otherwise, people would say, nah, you are exaggerating. No exaggeration here. She's THAT good.

Listening to Angelina is my favorite thing to do. My second favorite thing is to see others react to her. I guess it lets me relive my own experience of hearing her for the first time. She made me doubt reality for days, but in a good way. I had no idea that something like it was even possible. I know that I'll follow her for the rest of my life, and that she'll never stop amazing me. Still, that first time will always be one of my strongest and happiest memories. A UA-cam video of an eight year old, etched in my mind. It's crazy and impossible. Still, there you go. Life makes no sense. Except, of course, when you close your eyes, listen to Angelina, and forget everything but her voice. Just her voice. Then the World makes sense, if only because it seizes to exist.

Her Mgr. is her Uncle, the Dad has been out of the picture. Simon had nothing to do with her being signed by Republic Records. Simon did want to sign her to his own label but Uncle wanted Republic, Her Grandfather died a while back & she wrote the song "A Million Miles" for him. Grandmother has been her main influence.

The thing with Angelina in addition to her magical rich voice is that she understand that less is more. Just because you can doesn't mean that you should, and she knows this. She dos not growl in every song, or go for the big drama and high volume, she interpreters the song much more deeply and delivers heartfelt renditions without the flash and bang, instead being subtle in the way she chooses to use her voice.
One reason I think she is still quite unknown is because she has smart parents who wants her to have a good childhood without to much celebratory factor. You can see that they do not push her to be older then she is, she dos not ware a lot of makeup, she dresses like a adolescent, she still waves and says bye without considering this has gotten comments about her being childish.
In the Valarie video you see both the teenager and the child in her in the way she plays in the sand, and in the The Show Must Go On, the mask is probably painted by her little sister and it is not sophisticated but instead of going for an adult look her playful personality is allowed to shown.
I am so glad her parents let her be a child as long as she wants, and that they let her linger on the brink of adolescent and lets her keep the child part of herself as long as she need without any kind of pressure to be little grown up. With her old soul voice it would have been so easy to push her to be an adult way too soon.
And please, please, pretty please with sugar on top react to Aurora. I suggest The Eyes Of A Child the vevo lift version! She wrote this at when she was 17-18 years old. This is not a pop song or even a contemporary song, it feels really old and primal. Like it is several millennia years old and she somehow found it.

I am an avid Cross Country skiing fan and I follow the World Championship right now in Seefeld Austria. I am Norwegian so I am over joyed with the results so far. (And by the way, I am very impressed by Justyna Kowalczyk came back after having stooped to compete, to help out her team. She was all smiles in the interviews afterword.) In regards to doing everything to win in Olympics (or World Championship) (I use Norwegian athletes as examples here) Norway did not use Sundby and Johaug on the team sprint today because they are stronger over long distance then at a sprint. The result was that Falla and Østberg took bronze medals and Klæbo and Iversen took the gold medals, because Norway used the right skiers for the competition.
Hmm.... As I have not seen any Dimash videos this might be a really bad example. I need to educate myself, so I will go and watch some Dimash videos now.

For me this was a fairytale up until 1:25, and he went for the high note and I feel it was not needed. It cast me out of the spell he had on me instead of luring me further in. His high notes are amazing, and he sings so pure and unbeveled good, but the mixing of the genres like this just throws me off.

For me Dimash gets a bit schizophrenic, but it might be because he is trying to win competitions. I think the MJ tribute and My Heart Will Go On was not sung in competitions.
I like the classical Italian style of singing in opera and I feel this is what he suddenly put into nearly every performance I have seen. I might wrong off course for I have seen way too few too judge. Do you have any links to songs where he dos not use any of his tricks, just sings the song with feeling and soul? You wrote about his subtler performances, I would like to fin them…
Freddie Mercy also had a range of 6 octaves, but he did not through it around like Dimash dos, he used it when needed for each song. That being said, I think Dimash would be fantastic in the right kind of musical or operatic performance.
By the way, have you heard about the Chinse singer Hua Chenyu? He is absolutely magical, and he has enormous range and capabilities, but he is, as Angelina, much more subtle with the way he uses his voice and this appeal more to me.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I had to say this so many times to my children when they were small, and I too tend to overdo when I am warped up in things I enjoy, and it usually dos not end well.
Every time I listen to this, water comes to my eyes and my body becomes tense even while knowing that I'm going to hear perfection. May God protect this masterpiece of His glory.

Here I am back rewatching this!! Loved your reaction!! When I first watched this years ago I knew before she sang she'd KILL it. After all who pays for costly session musos... expensive recording studio time - for a 9 yr old child. I'm from a music family and this just doesnt happen...!!
