For the electrical connections - try the solder connections that melt with heat. The solder mates the connection and they also shrink down around the wires.
We kept the original engine 289 and original transmission 3 speed on the tree after installing a F150 4 speed and transfer case bolted the 351 Cleveland this thing runs and climbs great..?

The tail light worked when the bucket touched the body. Which means once you screw down the bucket the screw is the ground.
You’re right, but that tail light housing still needs to be replaced.
