@mixflip Thanks! Sig only makes the TacOps 1911 in 10mm now. They used to make it in 45acp as well. Didn't you used to have a gun channel before? Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it! 👍
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 thanks for the info. Back when yougube started giving me strikes just for making shot show videos, I decided to split my content in 2. So now the mixflip channel is an overlanding camping outdoor channel...and mixflip extra is where I re uploaded all my gun videos. I still post gun videos and go to shot show, just not at the level I used to in the heyday of youtube gun vids. Here is my gun channel ua-cam.com/channels/3UOGIgJ8t-I8gVS6dk5G_g.html
As you might remember I was very close to picking up the 1911 Tacops before I decided on the Dan Wesson Razorback. So glad that you are liking it. Like the matte black finish very much. Incidentally, I bought a mix of Wilson Combat mags and Metalform mags for my Razorback. Both work great. I had to put the bumper pads on the Metalform but they came predrilled and with all the hardware. They are the makers of the Colt OEM mags I believe. The good thing is they were about half the price of Wilson. If you are like me and always buy extra mags you might try to see how they work for you in the Sig. Got mine from CDNN Sports. They have some with and without the pads.
@Dennis Jones Congrats! You can't go wrong with a Dan Wesson! Razorback has good reviews, nice looking firearm, I'm sure you're going to enjoy shooting it. Thanks for the info on the mags! 👍
@KIM COVENEY My first 10mm and like you said a caliber to explore. I debated getting one for a time since I really liked the Colt Delta Elite. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
@@KeanonGilliamSlang369 oh I did. Same place I bought the gun i also bought a box of sig ammo to go with it. But their policy will only allow them to sell one box of ammo a day due to shortage. Didn't want to shoot a box and then go home with an empty gun.
I have an older Sig 1911 in .45acp. Its a laser. Stupid accurate. I daily carried it for years, no problem. I bought a G20 because I really wanted to get into 10mm. I love the round, but I can't really shoot worth a damn with the gun. I just don't shoot glocks well. I really like it as a car gun because the 10mm is more useful against peeps inside other vehicles and the 15 round mag capacity gives me peace of mind. If it gets stolen, no huge loss. Good Lord, that grip sucks though. I'm strongly considering a 10mm 1911 but am a little apprehensive about the mag capacity loss.
@Bthorn 50 I like the G20 as well because I used to carry a G21 in 45acp on duty which has similar dimension, may get one. I'll check to see if Wilson Combat or other magazine manufacturers make an extended 10mm magazines. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
I very nearly bought a kimber raptor ii stainless 10mm. Compared the tac ops and the kimber in hand and went with the sig. Felt much smoother and well put together. My lgs was having a leo to all sell on sigs so I got it for 850 out the door. Great gun so far!

Great video. How hard is this to rack compared to a .45 1911? I've got hand strength issues and the nicest pistol in the world is no use if I can't load a round. LOL
@Rodrick Korzep Thanks! The slide is about the same whether 10mm or 45acp. Depends on recoil spring poundage. I have a bad hand as well, the hand I rack the slide with. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
I went to a pawn shop today and seen a sig 1911 tacops 10mm. And I wanted it bad but the price when I first seen it back in August was $650- and now it's $1,000. But now that it's a 10mm and there is a very shortage of ammo.
@Chris George The $650 was a good price but because of the pandemic, riots, etc prices are being jacked up. 10mm ammo in my area is still good and cheaper than 9mm because 9mm is the most popular round. Hopefully you'll find something that works for you. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
I'm not a fan of 80s series 1911. but a SIG 10mm for $800 is a smoke'in hot deal. By the way - a review of a 1911 without discussing the trigger is a mistake. What makes a 1911 a 1911 is the trigger! How does it feel? Heavy? Light? How much pre travel? what's the reset like? Those are the things we 1911 fans what to know!
@pwpro You are so right, it was a mistake not to mention it! The trigger has a nice reset for 4 - 5lbs but with a clean break. Pre travel isn't bad. More accurate than me. You can play with the adjustment to suit your taste. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated!
@hksignman Thanks for the information. I just checked again on the website and it's still listed that way. It's not the first time Sig's website was off on other firearms too. (Yes, I called them in the past about measurements) Thanks for watching, greatly appreciated! 👍

@Brandon H When I got the TacOps, I got it prior to the pandemic. The price was way lower. Also ammo was a bit more reasonable. When the pandemic hit the 10mm in my area was a few dollars cheaper than 9mm. Now it's inflated. Thanks for watching, greatly appreciate it!
