I chose the Atom+ for the exact same reasons, after looking at some of the same packs you mention. Mine won't be here for another few weeks, but I'm looking forward to testing it. Hope to see a video from you after you've gotten a chance to put it to use. Cheers from the US!
Hi Bart and I'm glad to hear that you've bought Atom+ as well and I hope you're going to have fantastic time with it :) My plan is to review all the gear I used in my eastern Finland hike this summer and my backpack is one of them. Unfortunately I'm too busy to film and edit at the moment as I'm trying to graduate (MSc) but stay tuned because a review video is coming somewhere in the near future :) All the best!
Hi, thanks for you comment and watching the video. It all depends on the circumstances. Finnish summer is pretty easy season to hike whether wise and we tend to have plenty of water sources. However, after the Eastern Finland hike, I did increase the size of my backpack by 10 liters and sold the Atom+ just to have a more versatile backpack for all seasons.
Sorry for the delay in replying. My pack is 40 L in size and I did not order the extended collar height but I highly recommend it for it is clearly one of the shortcomings of the backpack. I also recommend asking the hip belt to have similar tightening direction as the Mo has as it is more intuitivie in my opinion.
@@KatskiHikes Thank's for the reply Katariina. I came so very close to purchasing an Atom pack. But living in the states the SWD was just a way better value and I'm a big fan of the dual stays, so yesterday I placed an order. Best wishes!
Moikka, oon palannut suomeen viime vuoden lokakuussa. Erinäisistä syistä johtuen videoiden tekeminen on jäänyt muun elämän jalkoihin, mutta kannattaa pitää syyskuun loppupuolta silmällä ;)
Backpack is a real beauty.

You can go 4 days with a 35lt pack? I couldn't. For me minimum 45lt for 3 days
Good review. Thanks.

@@KatskiHikes I have just bought myself a 45-50lt - up from 40lt. Wouldn't mind trying an Atom.
All the best from Yorkshire, UK.
My apologies if I missed it, but is this the 40L size? And also, as part of your custom features did you order an extended collar height? Cheers!
