This particular epsiode has me and hubbie chuckling as we are knee deep in his kitchen reno with no sink or water, no hob etc but I've decorated the new mantlepiece around the chaos 😂❤
Good to see the progress taking place, thanks to Roven wanting her bedroom 😅. Can't wait to see the changes in the bedrooms before Christmas, hopefully??? 🤗🤩🥳
LOL, some hot stuff going on. 😂 Wouldn't it be nice if we could actually move as fast as the sped up video? The sky is fabulous. You are getting there for your bedroom. You will at least get a feel for it. Little by little. It's so exciting. ❤
You’re bringing back memories of our extension many years ago. The very FIRST thing that happened was that the kitchen sink was to empty into a bucket on the other side of the wall. I’m a crazy keen cook, so can you imagine how many times I had to empty that bucket over the months? And how many times I thought just a little bit more would fit into the nearly full (and now overflowing) bucket? Our mess was only for about six months, so you’re a better woman than me, Louisa.
Great job! Your and your daughter’s bedrooms will look amazing once the entire move is completed. Wishing the family a very enjoyable Holiday Season 🎄 🎉
Exciting, good on your daughter for kicking you out of your original bedroom 😂😅 It is good to understand the proportions of the new bedroom....they are lovely.
Hi Louisa ! That Mark is a trooper ,Im sure he appreciated Rowans' help too !! It truly will be a nice bedroom for you both. someone said a pink sky is a sign of rain coming?? how did the oranges come along? Take care Paula
Loved the upload I am the same as you if I can have one thing in the room that looks nice eg with a lamp ornament eg I just focus on that one thing as being done i am fine. We had a bedroom plastered recently and while it was drying out went and put something I eventually want in there in even though I knew it would have to come back out while the room was decorated Glad you have 2 things different for Christmas the bedrooms for you and Rowan so you can relax and enjoy Christmas
It’s a true and real life! We are constantly bombarded with sugar coated presentations of seemingly perfect lives that can cause some to feel inadequate. I admire Louisa, Mark and their girls; they are genuine and always look for the positive 😊
@@elegantlyknackeredstyle. Please finish somewhere! Also wallpaper behind the aga would be great. I’m a teacher and always looking for progress. You need a shower, bedroom and your girls must be exasperated after 8 years.
@Gardenroom65, if you're finding it difficult to appreciate the hard work and progress we've made with our renovation, as well as the happiness our family shares, it might be best to move on from my vlog. The suggestion to add wallpaper in the kitchen is daft and shows a lack of understanding of the scale of the project and the vision we're working towards. Our family, especially our girls, embraces life with resilience and humour. If this journey doesn’t resonate with you, I encourage you to explore other content that might be a better fit.
Thank you for your comment. I’ll admit that the editing here might not fully capture the reality of the situation. The room in question was full of Mark’s tools and a fair bit of chaos, and it was tricky to know where to start with his belongings. Meanwhile, Rowan was busy packing up her boxes and packaging for her small business. Regarding your mention of “real work,” I’d gently suggest that keeping a household running smoothly is indeed an important job. Both Mark and I are self-employed and work more than full-time. Over the years, we’ve found a way to balance our responsibilities effectively. Mark prefers to work independently and isn’t keen on delegating, which I completely respect. I regularly check in with him to see what he needs from me, and if he says, “nothing at the moment,” I focus on the endless list of other jobs that need doing, jumping in when he asks for help. My role encompasses running the household, managing finances, planning and executing all interior design and styling, and, yes, tidying up after Mark - a thankless but necessary task as he tends to move swiftly onto the next project. In this instance, he was the one packing away his tools, as they were an exception. Perhaps you’ve missed it in previous videos, but I also handle the gardening and am Starre Corner’s designated dumper truck driver! I’d describe the way Mark and I work as teamwork - we each have our strengths and tackle what needs doing in our own ways. By the end of each day, we’re both completely spent from our efforts. It’s worth noting that creating these videos is my job, and what you see is naturally just a snapshot. For example, after I’d finished my own tasks and put dinner in the oven, I helped move boxes of tools, swept the floors, shifted panelling, and then began packing up our old bedroom to move things downstairs. Every evening this week, I’ve been moving more items. And not to mention, Christmas will come and go with Mark fully enjoying it but perhaps not entirely appreciating how much effort has gone into creating a Starre Corner Christmas. As ever, the unseen work is as important as the visible, and I’m grateful for the chance to share parts of our journey here.
I always just get on with my jobs until Mark says I am needed. It was his mess and his tools so he was best equipped to sort it out. I was also packing up our current bedroom.

🤣🤣🤣 it's what keeps us motivated, isn't it?
Poor Hubby working hard for the Love of His Life ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
I do appreciate all Mark does, but on this occasion, he was clearing up one he'll of a mess which he'd created.
Congratulations, progress made for everyone. Shower and bed what more can you want. Stay warm and snug. Enjoy and celebrate.
That's all we want for Christmas.

I've been working hard this week, behind the scenes, to make sure it happens.

Working at such speed would be amazing
So exciting to have your new bedroom and drawers to put things in! Your optimism and humour is always so uplifting.
Marks a man after my own heart...'working in organised chaos'❤😊
Hmm, a bit too much chaos sometimes 😂😂😂

You’re distracting everyone from the important job 😂😂😂 drying oranges, making sarnies, chat, chat, chat - anything but getting stuck in lol.
