      Alasan terkuat adlh kemiskinan

As soon as you're out of range of a cellphone tower yes, and the chinese ships are probably operating far from shore and any cellphone towers. That being said, nowadays most ships have a satellite phone to make calls. Those are expensive though, and they would have needed to get permission from the captain to use it probably

That's just another Chinese Captain. They are all the same. Some are more worse than that. Being a seafarer I have seen their real faces. My mgmt. company took over a vessel from the other fleet of the same company. That vessel was managed by Chinese Mgmt. When they handed over the ship, so many problems they left for the new crew, yaps broken, rice spread all over the kitchen and mess room, sauce and dips spilt all over, electrical switches damaged, bulbs and tube lights broken. On bridge, along with their mgmt. Provided manuals, documents and books, they even took the critical operational use books and documents which are ship specific and are mandatory to maintain. Engine room had some what problems but deck had effed up valves and electrical sensor wirings. Paint room was a mess. Now the worst part of all, they took a dump in alleyways, in common toilets all around the commode, some mattresses in crew cabins too had sh!t stains all over it. They made sure the new crew taking over should get a "lesson". The Fleet Manager's deputy was onboard, he saw all these with his eyes, we showed him everything. He made sure to take photographs, make a report and send it to the previous mgmt. office. The captain alongwith the whole crew was questioned and penalized for it. Our Fleet today have no Chinese Officers or Crew employed as this incident sent a shock all the way as it was posted in the weekly bulletin of our company. The question is who won or who lose here? No one.

I hate to see other people treats employees this way-may Allah make these people pay for what they'd done to other human beings.

On top of not giving basic rights to him in terms of food, medical attention etc. Indonesian government should sue the squid fleet! This is outrageous!!!
