147 WHAT A CAR
147 is so underrated car, I've drive it many years, but last year switched to Stelvio (family ;-)). I really like your video, it evoked a lot of memories
Very glad you liked it. Stay tuned for more to come!
Macchina sportiva ❤. My mother has the same 1.6- 105p.s. despite being underpowerd, it's very fun driving it in mountaint roads.
She actually is a macchina sportiva. Thank you for commenting
Nice video good to see some love for the 1.6 ts variant...
i have the same car 3 door 2002
I have a question for you
Is that an aftermarket exhaust? or a custom made one ?
Thank you for commenting. Actually it’s the stock exhaust. Completely stock.
@@pov_drivernice I wasn't expecting that, sounds better then mine in the video
Nice drive, I have the exact same 147 model as yours, really enoiyed driving it. Any chance to share the route in this video? I'm in Cyprus too
Glad you liked it and thank you for commenting. It’s the part of the road from Trimiklini towards Kyperounta through Amiantos village. Make sure you check out the rest videos on the channel.
Yep i have 145 & 147 Alfas. Love driving both. Though 145 handles better & goes faster..! 😊
Haven't driven one before (145) but I always loved her looks. Wish I drive one sometimes. Thank you for commenting.
now ı want to buy this car because of you.
You should definitely search and buy one then. They are relatively cheap nowadays, and still plenty of aftermarket parts available.
Is this really an Alfa Romeo 1.6? Looks like the seats are the same as the 2.0
@@azamat10061992 thank you for commenting. It is indeed the 1.6 version. It’s just the Ti pack which included stiffer suspension, the 17” Ti wheels and these specific leather seats
@@pov_driver thank you, now I understand. I didn’t know that the Ti configuration had such features.
Could you do a full review of this car? very interesting what she looks like)
@@pov_driver What's the difference between the quadrifoglio version?
@@azamat10061992 I’ll try to do one as soon as possible, probably during autumn. Thank you
@@pov_driver If you are looking for a car for yourself, is it possible to find one in good condition 147 1,6 full?)
Nice to see some Twin Spark in action, have one 156 1.6 and one Gt 1.8, love both not the most powerfull car nowadays but have great sound.
Thank you for commenting. Indeed, Twin Sparks sound great and in my opinion way better than the later JTS.
does this engine have a big oil consumption?
Thank you for commenting. They usually consume a little more oil than normal. My engine also consumes a little more, possibly due to bad valve seals or piston springs. Not that big though, it's close to what manual considers as normal.
Do you have any problems with the 147? I am considering to by one. 120 000km on the clock
To be honest, not really. It's pretty reliable but it requires frequent maintenance regarding timing belts and water pump as well as oil changes. So far (175000km on clock) everything is fine.
Does the 1.6 have tuning potential?
Thank you for commenting. As far as I know nothing too fancy. Most upgrades have to do with replacing engine with the 1.8 or 2.0 ts. However, I’ve seen through internet a few turbo upgrades
hey friendo, put a turbo on the 1.8 or the 2.0 ( i suggest 1.8, because they are more reliable than the 2.0) and you could build a monster ;), 1.6 is appropriate for the car (147 & 156) but not as powerful as the 1.8. I own a 1.6 trin spark 156 and its impressive how well it handles the car but tbh 1.8 would be the best.
Hello what do you think about alfa romeo 147 1.9jtdm 120hp as first car? Peace from Macedonia!
Thank you for commenting. My personal opinion is that the JTDM might be the best option for the 147. Lots of power, lots of torque and the ability to improve it. The only downside is the sound compared to the TS. As a first car, I think that it’s one of the best looking modern classic hatchbacks.
Make sure you check out the other Alfa 147 videos on the channel.
105 or 120 hp?
The one with the 120hp. Thank you for commenting.
I pick mine up this week. 147Ti 2l. Yes, I am excited, especially now.
Wish you a lot of joyful miles with her. Thank you for commenting.
so? how r u doing with ur new alfa??
@@gesubambino5440 haha. In love, even gave it a not needed wash yesterday and it has been polished twice. Looks Good. Dark Blue. 105k, Tinming Belt recently done. I had the Alfetta 1.8 in 1982, and as soon as I took this little one for a drive, it was that exact same feeling, on point!
Thanks for asking.
@@yandenuts Watch out for the rod bearings, after 120k they tend to go... Have them checked just in case, it's a very good car, wouldn't want to see it dead
@@manuelcatalano2412 Thank you. I appreciate your advice.
