Yes, I did want to be an entomologist when I was younger so most bugs don't freak me out. Lol. Honestly though these little dubia buggers are super clean and friendly haha. Almost a shame that they're feeders 😂 hope you enjoyed the vid :)
How often do you do this? I just got a leopard gecko and I'm debating on if it's worth it for me to keep my own colony considering I'd kind of prefer to die. 🙃 I could stand to do this every couple months but not weekly or monthly. I'd rather just buy them every week.
I'm a reptile person so I have these in my home to feed my lizards. At first I thought even the nymphs were gross and screamed when I unpacked them. Years later, I am so used to them and I can easily pick them up with my bare hands. And you HAVE to get use to feeding insects if you want lizards as pets. ;)
How many dubua roaches would you recommend buying? I live in an area where I don't really really know where to get them. I have only one male leo gecko.
If you crunch the dubia's heads before dropping them in the enclosure, they won't be able to run away or burrow. They'll still squirm around for a long time, though. I do this to prevent them from burrowing down so deep my tarantulas can't get to them.
Wow that’s actually a very very smart idea, putting the heat pad like that instead of on the underside. I‘m going to try that with my colony. Also my guys (my geckos lol) sometimes also have the roach grab onto their head and then they shake it across the box that I feed them in it’s so funny 😂🤣
Hi I was wondering I will be getting a baby musk turtle soon I wanted to know if I could use a plastic bin from Walmart and do the same thing I would use for the turtles. I wanted to know if u think it’s a good idea though
It would have to be heavier duty plastic, otherwise I might be a bit concerned about the weight of that much water putting pressure on the plastic sides. It could totally work though!
@@claudiarodriguez1035 the dollar per gallon sale is going on at Petco, so you should be able to get one for $50. If that seems expensive, just keep in mind that a 40 will last a musk it's whole life :)
In a previous video, you were dusting your roaches only with calcium without D3, do you change that up? generally calcium without D3 stays in a little cup in the enclosure 24/7 which i see in the corner, and then the roaches are dusted with calcium with D3 and a multivitamin powder from what I have researched.. leopard gecko on youtube has a video on this, along with GoHerping
It's not preferred to let them digest it but if her heating is ok it should be ok, but yeah the reason its preferred not to use it and to use tile instead is because if they end up not digesting it right it could lead to impaction (where they cant digest something and cant poop) but I do know of people who use eco earth the geckos whole life and havent had any problems with it. I use paper towels to be safe tho
Hahaha kuzon is so derpy and cute!! And also, turtle girl, what is your name. U don’t have to answer if u think it’s private but ur choice. Love ur pets!!
Ugh I love your videos, they’ve help me make decisions regarding upgrading my turtle tank.. I found you too late tho as I purchased a 20 gallon tank even tho they technically need a larger enclosure
Actually, that's the standard size for a leopard gecko enclosure. However, if you're planning to include more than one leopard gecko in the enclosure (females only, males are quite territorial), then a larger tank would be better.
Feeding your Gecko was interesting & u even laced the roaches with lemon pepper for him 🤣 😅 😂 You must have some understanding parents bc some people try their best to get rid of roaches & your parents let roaches live in your room. 🤷🏾♂️ LOL ...
I recently got a baby yellow belly turtle, when she goes to bask on the basking platform, she ALWAYS freaks out and jumps off EVERY time when ANYONE (myself included) gets into the room and if someone is in the room already and they make even the slightest bit of movement, whether it’s to move away from the tank and out of the room or moving towards the tank
Well your tank needs more hiding places. He shouldn't be on just dirt. Needs to be a mix of soil and playground sand non-adhesive liner or tile. His humid hide should be dark like put a black sock over it.

The Turtle Girl I did! Love all your vids ❤️
What size mesh do you use for the bottom?
The turtle girl = the most underrated you tuber 😔❤️
Nah ...
Nope that would be me 😂
@KRoblox yep pretty much underrated but kinda not worth it

That roach bin is brilliant! Great idea! And your Gecko is so very very adorable 🙂🙂🙂
thank you!

The things you do for love 😂

@@Blue_Lugiahow long did it take for u to get used to handling the dubia roaches with your hands?
Great video. Thank you for sharing. Peace, love and blessings
I have recently started a small colony of dubia. They creep me out but they aren't that bad. Good video. Happy gecko
Nice!
How often do you change out the card board
Thank you for actually Dustin your insects
Gotta keep the gecko healthy!
When you feed him with the lights off is it completely dark in the room or just the light for the enclosure is off?
How many dubua roaches would you recommend buying? I live in an area where I don't really really know where to get them. I have only one male leo gecko.
He is so awesome to watch! Thanks
Kuzon was definitely annoyed.😤Teasing home with all that crunchy goodness🤣🤣🤣

I like how when you were putting on the gloves kuzon (sorry if I spelt it wrong!) is just staring at you like “mother what the heck are you doing”
roaches at 1:40 : ey what's up, ah nothin much
What do u do with the big Dubia roaches that can’t be fed to your leopard gecko also if u r not breeding the Dubia roaches do they still need a heater
If you have a gecko, you will WANT to breed the Dubia's they are expensive to keep buying and hard to get shipped on time.
What kind of mesh did you use? How often do you clean the bin?
What was the powder on the roaches?
Kinda early btw the type of gecko you have☺️I’m really excited

Would be great if you could do a dubia roach care video! Love Kuzon 😊
good idea! thanks!
i have a L. gecko (rare color morph to!) ur's is adorable mine is young still
How do you clean the left over calcium out of his cage?
just dust it out lol...usually a damp paper towel does the trick
U r so brave! Cockroaches r so gross! But it was interesting and I like watching the gecko eat. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you thought it was interesting haha
Stop the cap
What the white stuff on the roachs
Calcium powder
Hey I have a question. Where do you keep the dubia roaches? If you keep them in your room do they make any noise as they are insects?
What is the white stuff on the roach
calcium powder :)
How often do you feed?
Nice video! Btw can i feed my turtle cabage🥦 or carrots 🥕. If so, how much per week🤔🤔🤔🤔
Love how you just touch stuff most girls want even go no were near a spider😂
haha they don't bother me - except some spiders haha
So nothing has givin me a clear answer, what are all the vitamins leopard geckos need and how often do I give them?
How old is Cuson (this leos/gecko), and is he a normal type size or a giant? He looks bigger then mine :)
Wow! How many reptiles and insects do you have 😮

Dubia are very clean for roaches. They look more like an isopod to me
whats the powder on the roaches?
Calcium!
Does he digest the eco earth? I would think it's not good

Woah! Lovely tail I see!
So chunky
Depresso Espresso yeah, dubias carry lots of fat and calcium 😳
Where do u get ur roaches ?
Lol I see Kuzon made a mess with the Eco Earth
hahaha yep, I decided to leave it though since it adds some texture and variation to the bottom of the tank.
I JUST STARTED WACHING

I know I’m late but can you feed these cockroaches to turtles. I have a box and a painted and want to use live feeders. Any advice anyone?
I have fed a few to my turtles without issue, but you definitely want to do it in a separate container, because they make A MESS ;D
Hy, can u send same baby Roches?
I would like to keep them..
You can find sources online or at reptile expos!
Leopard geckos: 😛🙂😛🙂
Leopard Gecks get too excited,🤪 mines the same way,

As in, wat does 🤢 refer to

Yep! They're insectivores. Make sure to dust with supplements as needed though, and gut load the feeder insects well :)
Subscribing right now
i want a leo so bad but the diet scares me
I like your gecko
thanks Margie!
U should do a review in Repashy grub pie
thanks for the suggestion!
roaches are better then the clump of super worms my gecko barfed up today
She dropped the roach😭😭😭😭
My gecko eats anything in his tongs
I know this isnt a turtle video but is it normal for a baby turtle not to eat the next day

Wearing a mask would be better than wearing gloves. Breathing in that frass isnt good for you. You can wash your hands pretty easily.

Chill out
I think leopard geckos are so cute but I wish I could hypnotize them to eat fruits and vegetables instead of bugs. I hate bugs!!!
how many times a week do you feed him these??
