Mikhail Tal's Most Insane Queen Sacrifice
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 жов 2024
- In this famous chess game the eighth world chess champion Mikhail Tal sacrifices his queen on move 13 and manages to organize a very dangerous attack! Being unable to repel Tal's attack his trainer Alexander Koblents soon gets a lost position. A typical Tal game which every Sicilian Najdorf player should see!

Dear chess lovers, I checked in the database, and it turned out that the first recorded game with this queen sacrifice variation belongs to Latvian chess master Janis Klavins who in 1959 (two years earlier) tried it against Mikhail Tal, though Tal managed to win the game!!!
For once, it's Tal's opponent who sacrificed the queen... Yet he managed to win the game... By the way, I could be wrong, isn't Alexander Koblents Tal's coach?
show us that game too!
yes, you are absolutely right
Wasn't there a famous Keres game in this line?
Keres-Fischer, 1959. Fischer won.
Imagine playing against Tal and seeing him sac the queen. You know your end is imminent.
i always wondered why no one came up with the plan to just not accept the sacced queen? if you approach red lights, you shouldnt hit the throttle =b
This fizz is right guys
Sometimes Tal can be wrong.
@@Pintkonan because usually it’s still losing (or looks like it at least)
Good one! Funny too! 🤣👍
When I see this kind of games I realize that I really suck at chess
Guz Man That's what his opponents said
To be fair. This is on GM levels. Just keep practicing and experiment new things and you'll do good.
@@krinkovakwarfare I constantly sacrifice my queen I am still an 800 tough
betochiwas 😂😂 I know that feeling lol
@@krinkovakwarfare that's even more than GM level, Tal was one of strongest off the world
Even though his record of 95 games in a row without losing is broken now, the fact that he managed to do that with this play style blows my mind.
Yeah, that record is broken, but he had more wins, the record has more draws
Black does absolutely nothing wrong in this game... Still tal wins..
Simply amazing. Tal was incredible
After seeing ur videos mikhail tal became my favorite player
Plz upload his more videos of sacrificing his pieces...
more videos are coming))))
Suren Yeah Carlsen and Tal are my favorite player, amazing player.
Good Luck!
Take a look at Rashid Neshmetdinov's games. Also a great legend. He was a mentor to Mikhail Tal and he learned from him.
search mikhail tal top queen sacrifice and you can see a lot of games of mikhail tal
Tal could sacrifice his king and still win
If it was legal in chess he would've definitely done it
ههههههه
🤣
Tal simply is the greatest chess attacking master of all time! Mind-blowing sacrifices, elegant moves, brilliant beautiful attacks. His games are works of arts
I actually couldn't control my laughter after watching the sacrifices, out of amazement and fascination just to be clear!? ;)
"This is just a game dropped down from another planet"
Tom Cummings always curious whether Tal was able to weave his familiar web when playing against an engine??
@@rahultn5125 in tals times engines were no match for any grandmaster. i remember my father beating chessmaster3000 from 1991 easily on hardest difficulty. and he was only a residential champ nowhere near the level of a grandmaster.
A mind blowing game by Tal. Many thanks for publishing the same.
'I think I will sacrifice my queen' is a phrase I rarely utter myself...
No comments. Just 💥🤯💥
What a game ? Tal is definitely the greatest attacking genius Chess has known since ages.
4:55 planit xD i love you suren!
mikhail tal + suren : keep calm and scream of joy .
Suren's coverage of Mikhail Tal and Alexander Alekhine's games educate me on Russian pronunciation. I don't know if he gets them quite right or not, but I bet they're a lot closer than my guesses.
“What are you doing Mikhail Tal” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome game Suren ! Thank you !
Thank you for making such videos !!
you are welcome Harshal
Wtf did I just watch ? I thought this channel was family friendly, this game should be censored 😅
Tracker if you're under 18 look away!
Hahahaa
I dont get it
Kids, DON'T try this at home.
Umm.. I don't understand 😐
A master piece of chess.
A mind blowing piece of art.
Thank you for sharing.
This was just a game dropped down from another planet.Sublime and fantastic. 😀😀😀
What a decisive comment from Suren 'This game dropped down from another planet'!!!. Tal was fantastic!!!😂😂😂🎤🎹🥁
Awesome sacrificing and attack , Tal is relentless !
No matter how many times I watch this game, I always get the same excitement
suren i like your all chess video specially mikhail tal games
much appreciated Janpol, thanks
I don't think Tal "came up with" these ideas on the spot. This looks like a line he discovered in prep that finally showed up over the board. It is very impressive. I wonder if there is a refutation out there.
Wild! How did Tal come up with these crazy treks through the deep, dark forests?
I love watching such Tal's games.
😊👌
Wow Tal played like Alpha Zero. Or the other way around
ahahahahahaha. The way you commentated this match is spectacular. Not even football match commentators are as exciting 👍
I saved this video like a few months ago...it makes me smile everytime
Exceptional Player !!! One Among the Greatest players.... His moves were so agressively Tactical,.. and still Composed.
Tactic-Tal
tal:sacrifices queen
tal's opponent: welp I guess I'm losing
i notice that Carlsen also does not move many of his pawn and in the end game if it trades down to one you can often have less weaknesses than your opponent if you do so. instructive game.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose... and on some very rare occasions there's something like this, when your opponent takes all of your sacrifices, and by the end of it cannot even give away ones queen to draw the game.
Wow, just wow!
incredible Tal.. Excellent.
After seeing Tal's game how he always sacrifying anything, he would be my favorite player..
Tal's games are the funnest to watch.
in term of brilliant playing, and the most interesting attacking strategy then Michael Tal is the best of the best.
Suren please we need short videos about Fischer's games
Love your videos!!
Look at 3:27. Koblents' pieces are doing almost NOTHING (except guarding the back rank). Every single one of Tal's pieces are active and threatening and he has two pawns like daggers at his opponent's throat. He puts his enemy into panic mode every time.
Apsolutely astounishing game! Thank you Suren!
Will there be a Tal? His amazing games give u the kicks...what a game..what a player
Has anyone noticed that the magician from Riga played this game in Riga?
Just amazing game! Tal was insane or genius?
definately a master genius
both
Three queens were sacrificed in this game.
Superb Queen Sacrifice!!!!!!
please show the game of magnus carlsenage 13 vs anatoly karpov in 2004
*Amazing !*
*Love for*
*Magician !*
*Thanks.*
No words for.tal....i m speechless
Just incredible.
thank you
You're welcome
What on earth was that! Tottaly insane sacrifice!
What a wonderful and exciting game!!
Jaw dropping stuff only possible for Tal
at 3:26, why cant black play Qb4 protecting the pawn on c3 and also threatening check on a3 followed by check mate on Q-b2?
Engines can always beat humans. But can they create art like Tal?
I dont think so....tal was just from another planet
No. One reason engines cannot create art like Tal is that (as Kasparov has pointed out) many of Tai's sacrifices can be refuted by ideal play on the part of his opponent. A computer would never make a such a move.
However, as Tal knew well, one only has to defeat the opponent on the other side of the board, not a hypothetical opponent who can play perfectly.
Chris McCarthy yes many of Tal's sacrifices were not perfect play as you said because he only had to beat a human sitting in front, but I've seen a couple of games of Tal where his sacrifices where rated by engines as not perfect for many decades until computers and programs became more powerful to comb through many more possibilities of his magical moves. And believe it or not, in a few games engines like stockfish give Tals moves the upper hand now. And in a few other games stockfish even today, cannot see Tals moves and suggests some other moves. But when you play the Tal move and ask it for reevaluation, stockfish rates it higher than its own previously suggested move!
Simply goes to show how powerful the human brain and intuition really are. Tal was a genius and an artist. Even engines had to 'grow up' for decades to just be able to see(not find) although in a handful of cases, that his moves are winning. Is it not an amazing thing?
Well you need to look up for Alpha zero games against stockfish. Some of these games are just far from our understanding of chess.
@@waszkreslem9306 yeah I think AZ simulates more tal like play than stockfish.
Great stuff
The chess gamble, ultimate style of Tal.
You can only salute the genius of Mikhail Tal.😂😂😂
Amazing how after all the dust has settled Mikhail ends up with just one pawn up, which is enough to win. I wonder if he calculated the whole thing.
This is what I ask myself too.
Did Tal mention this game somewhere, in a book. article or interview?
Mikhail Tal's Sacrifice his queen..
Me : Sacrifice My King
Why not Black play Qb4 instead of Qd7 after White's b3 pawn push?
This has to be top 5 game of the century!!
Mikhail Tal is a legend!
👏👏👏👊👊👊✊✊✊
Well, I would have never thought of these sacrifices because I am not crazy like Tal. However, I did find the winning plan to transition into a won king and pawn endgame. That's the kind of logic I understand. Still, crazy or not, this was an absolute master piece. Wonderfully beautiful.
that's a master piece of art very impresive
Stockfish gives 22. f5 cxb2+! (instead of ...Qb7) as holding, and possibly better, for Black. After 22.... Qb7? it's over.
Very very much interesting.
best game of mikhail tal queen sacrifice was best
He's just a kind of maniacs that doesn't hesitate to sacrfice all the 14 pieces just to rip your king so fucken genus👌👌👌
That's call mind-blowing
Awesome game..
I need that kind of confidence..
only one best sacrificer .mikal tal .mind blowing
Bharath Krk no the best sacrificed is Rashid Nezhmetdinov see his games against olog chernikov and Lev polugaevsky
Bloody heck 😭😳 this was assault
Start like a kid and end like a legend that tal
What if in the 13th move black did not capture the queen?
You can hear Suren snap his fingers at @3:21 in excitement (probably need to use headphones)
Why not 23 ... Qb4! instead of Qd7? black should do some counterplay..
Hey suren how can i download rybka 4 can u drop any link?
Awesome
The bee shop is under attack. Lol
Mind, kidney, liver, ears, nose every thing blown away
Unbelievable just unbelievable
That was too cool
" there are only two kinds of sacrifices... Correct ones, and mine " ~ Mikhail Tal
re-watch...... absolutely brutalizing ! ! !
Glad to hear that😊
love the say u say mind blowing!
Woooow tal is a genious
Tal must be the best in berserk-like play known in history! Second that comes to mind is Nezhmetdinov who I think is Tal's mentor?
I always like tal's games
