Dream Theater - Hell's Kitchen (Instrumental) - Split-Screen Covers

- My friends and I were all in a collaborative projects class at NYU in the fall of 2011, where we learned how to collaborate with other live performers around the world. In this class, we also discovered our mutual interest in the music of Dream Theater, and it inspired us to make a performance of our own.
For the midterm project for this class, I recorded the audio and video for Travis' drum track. We then took the video and played it on a screen behind myself and Trevor, our guitarist, who performed the song live to the video track, and with Grace, our keyboardist (who was on a different floor of the building we were performing in) on another screen, all simultaneously.
After the completion of the performance, Grace, Trevor, and myself decided that we should record our parts, similarly to the way Travis' part was recorded, and to make the video you are watching!
We are all really happy with how the video turned out, and we hope you enjoy it!

I'm still in touch with our drummer though it's been a little bit since we were able to chat. I'm actually having a meeting with our guitarist in a couple of days, since we've been in a band together for a few years now! Beside the fact that you covered this amazing piece, I'm just glad to see how much fun you guys had while playing this beautiful song. It's one thing to just play a song, but it's another thing to actually feel the song.

this song is just so majestic and awe inspiring and you guys did a great job covering it. you can tell it's a lot of fun to play, the build-up and anticipation to the last moments are something that every musician savors, then it just explodes into the ending power chords. ahhh. Grace's expression was so animated, you can see the joy on her face. "it's fuuuun"....yea i bet it is. thanks for this upload!

I loved this, there´s something special about this song that makes us feel happy, especially the final part. Back in 1997, I heard this album when was released I did not like it at first, but reminds me Hell's Kitchen was my favorite song. Greetings from Brazil !!!!!
