    Great video. I just got back from a Greer AZ camping trip. The white mountains were something else. But I have to say the landscape from Eager and Alpine looking east to New Mexico at the high desert mesas were calling my name.

    Good to see you back out there my dude. At least you k ow where to escape the flocks of utv's. The so-cal desert I grew up riding in is so dangerously infested with inebriated utv drivers that I completely stopped going there. Had too many close calls on my dirt bike, deemed it not worth it. Anyway, awesome footage on this one, getting better every time....curious to see your possible new addition to your fleet.

Beautiful country. Might have just missed you. Was planning Northstar and Chloride, Mogollon some time in future. This helps. Seems Fall n Spring are best temps. Monsoon season is just starting. FYI: Fishing w/o NM lic ticket is $146 then you get a lic for 1 year in the mail. (Walmart in Silver has them.) Don't ask me how I know. LOL

    Love the vids but easy on the judgement my friend. I’m an “overlander” but I’ve met many razor owners. Many are local folks who care deeply about the environment and taking care of trails. I think it’s like anything else, there are razor owners who haul their rigs from many miles away and want to tear shit up for a weekend. But there’s just as many if not more folks who respect the land and others who are trying to enjoy it. I would ask that instead of bad mouthing any particular group, promote responsible and respectful use of the land by all those who enjoy it.

    • @Whitedogoverland
      @Whitedogoverland  Рік тому

      Im not saying all rzr owners are shit heads but let me tell you, I’ve had more negative encounters with them then positive and that even includes friends of mine. I must add that I have met plenty of responsible owners. Arizona seems to have an abundance of poorly educated/experienced side by side owners. Too much vehicle at the hands of those who can walk in and swipe a card and walk out with the ultimate offroad vehicle. I would never ask for more government involvement in anything but Arizona needs to get on board with utahs hov license. Might keep some of the inexperienced from buying these or educate them.

    Hi there great video!
    As someone who lives in Payson we do see a lot of people from the valley… some not all do leave a lot of trash in their campsites, and as you know, being from Arizona fires are a big thing they’ll leave their smoldering campfires when they go home. Hate it when we find that kind of stuff. Lol speaking on side-by-side we have both it and 4x4s sadly, I agree, side-by-side eiders will go anywhere or do anything in the middle of the day in the middle of the night way faster than they should on trails or or off having said that that’s not all of them, but there is a lot of them. Same with 4x4 though. Stay on numbered trails don’t be one of the idiots tearing up the forest the or desert if you do and you’re leaving your trash, or making your own trail !you’re giving them a reason to close it all down and believe me they’re looking for any reason they can find to do just that.

    Hey, I am planning a road trip to New Mexico at the end of February for 3 weeks. I have a tundra pulling a small off road hiker trailer. I'm looking for some dirt roads and good camping. Keep in mind that 75% of the roads here in New Mexico are unpaved. The BDR map is a good one to start with for ideas. Whatever the adventure motorbikes do is normally a good scenic route that most 4X4s can do.

    • @Whitedogoverland

    Glad you made this video about our wilderness here in NM.
    But I have to seriously question your camping when you mention the wildfires going on and how dry it and yet you STILL light a campfire.
    There are fire restriction in ALL national forests early in every camping season every year here in NM. When that wildfire was ongoing there were definitely fire restrictions.

    • @Whitedogoverland
      @Whitedogoverland  5 місяців тому

      Before every trip, I call every NF to ensure there are no current restrictions, I won’t burn even in a stage one. Last year, there were no restrictions even as the pass fire was at 36k acres and contained. Surprising indeed. A lot of segments of my videos detail fire safety in dry regions, drowning out fire etc. You can confidently have a fire in dry season with proper knowledge, air conditions and such, which is why I try to educate.

    Why is it that blanket statements are made about sxs's that they cause trouble everywhere? We have had our various Jeeps for over 25 years along with 4-wheelers and a sxs. We also lived in Ouray, CO for over 30 years but moved away last year because it became so overrun by all the tourists. We have always respected our fragile mountains and respected others out riding. I have seen a much abuse by Toyota's, Jeep's and dirt bikes (and Subarus!) as I have sxs's. If you were to be honest... what percentage of sxs's that you encounter are causing trouble or being disrespectful?? We lived in one of the most traveled backcountry areas in the US. We've seen it all. And the percentage of sxs troublemakers is probably 10-15% max.
    Your blanket statements put myself, my family and the local 4-wheeler clubs, to name a few, in a bad light and frankly, I'm tired of hearing it. I take offense to it. I won't be watching or subscribing.

    • @Whitedogoverland
      @Whitedogoverland  8 місяців тому +1

      No problem I wouldn’t sub either if I was pro side by side. I live in a town that has been over run by them. Clubs come out on runs of 20+, drinking, being obnoxious, almost every night of the week. I’ve had multiple friends run off the road by them, flipped and totaled vehicles, I’ve been cut off by them, they don’t know the right of way, I’ve seen them nearly take out hikers, I’ve seen them drive up single track (hiking trails) to shoot in tall grass. The majority I run into do not know anything about respect for our offroad hobby, they didn’t take the time to learn. It’s not all bad, not placing all of you in one bucket but where I’m from, most are terrible. I’m proud to be anti side by side and want to take my deserts back from anyone who disrespected them, that goes for trucks and motorcycles too. Just so happens most incidents are caused by the rzr crowd.
