I wouldn’t say so. In central Europe you will pay around €400 for i7 Macbook Pro. You can buy M1 Air for the same price which is much better than any laptop/desktop PC at that price
@@tomtroler tf M1 is $1200 just like when it was released in 2020 in Sweden. You could probably get it for $1000 if you wait because it has been at that price before though.
i do not agree. It was a very good laptop even in 2018. The hardware differences are negligible, of course the 2015 is little bit slower, but a 2018 mac is a thermal management nightmare. the build quality is also extremely poor on 2016, 2017 and 2018 macbook pro models compared to the 2015. FLEX gate. Random shutdowns, failing keyboards, storage issues. failing touchbar. not to mention the 2015 has a removable SSD, so even if it dies the data is safe. The keyboard is way better, the computer is more reliable, it has more ports, it has almost the same power. Is the 2015 the best mac ever? no. is it Overrated? no, it was fantastic, so good people refused to replace them.
Still running my 2015 15" MacBook Pro with OCLP Sonoma. I forgot upgrading as soon as I updated to Sonoma. It runs smoother than Monterey. I think it will get me though another 2-3 yrs.
It was between this or the 2019 Macbook Pro 16" because I couldn't afford to replace my 2020 MBP 13" and needed another Pro Mac. I chose this because it was cheaper, had better port selection and was in great condition, and I didn't want to spend a bit more on a 2019 MBP and be leaving it 6, or so months later. Do the fans sometimes fire up? Yes. But is the performance sufficient enough for what I want to do with it? Definitely. Will I be upgrading to another M Series laptop once I get enough money? Yes, I will be.
Well here is my take on this MacBook I like this machine more for professional use. Excellent port selection, good display, magsafe, and-most importantly-a detachable and upgradeable SSD. If I were to buy a new Mac, Apple would charge me an absurd price to upgrade parts like RAM and SSD at the time of purchase. Using professional software that will be writing and reading a lot daily to the removable SSD are additional selling factors for me. Instead of having one soldered on to the board that might could possibly fail. Then a replacement of the entire machine would be required unless you can locate someone to micro solder a new ssd on the logic board if it fails and you are past the warranty's expiration date. If it fails on the older Mac I can just change the SSD again. Additionally, this is my current configuration: an Apple 2015 15 inch 16GB ram MacBook Pro with a new battery, thermal paste, and a Samsung 990 Pro Nvme SSD Gen 4 PCIe operating at the highest possible read and write capacity Gen 3 speed of 3000 MB for this 2015 machine. This machine came with an Gen 2 SSD that does 1500mb write / 1800mb read from Apple. When it was capable of running a newer generation and faster PCIe 3 nvme with adapter. The only drawback is that it doesn't get lastest MacOS software, but that won't stop me from using this machine. I have no other issues with this MacBook. I might create a UA-cam video about my experience of this machine and the SSD I installed in this machine on my Tech channel.
Anyday the keyboard on 2015 retina is 100x better than the abomination currently on the Macbook pros. I have never used another keyboard with worse key stability and non-uniform typing sound. The recent magic keyboards on Macbooks feel broken while typing.
I’m still using my 2014 MBP. 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD. Today we’re at 18 GB RAM and 512GB SSD. If apple continues to give it OS support, I can do just about everything on it still. 2014/2015 MBP was great when they were released. 9.5 years of service. Best computer I ever bought.
its not even overrated its so good and affordable with the AMD radeon R9 M370x Graphics card with Intel iris pro 1536 mb its worth it!! if your looking for the most overrated MacBook Pro your definitely should agree that the M3 MacBook Pro is overrated and overpriced for the performance.
Dude, if the product you otherwise like has a glaring flaw (or multiple) that you don't, saying "Well, obviously you don't care that much since you bought it" doesn't resolve the issue. It's such a useless argument, and it's disappointing to hear it. On the dongle issue. Yes the USB-C port IS the most superior port out there (making all the people who complained about not having one on their iPhones, that they still bought, right to be mad), but the objection most people had was not that they had to spend more money on a dongle, but that remembering to bring them was a hassle. Hassle is not a premium experience, which Apple sells themselves as giving.
Fair point, this video was obviously a little tongue in cheek. I do think people buying these for $1800, 3 full years after they were released, using CPUs that were in MacBooks as old as 2013 was absurd. I would have liked to have seen Apple supply a couple adapters in the box, which they used to do even with iPods (the docks) but we all know they wouldn't.
@@beltalowda i guess so. I’ve had this 2015 and currently I am on M1 Air. I got the M1 for the same price as i7 2015 Macbook Pro which feels completely different. ARM is the future. No heating, no fans, 15 hours of battery life
It’s not overrated. Keyboard great, retina display, all the old USB ports, MagSafe and a great price nowadays!
totally

I think Apple’s pricing for extra storage is very fair 🤣🤣🤣. Sorry if you want to store some more pictures, that’ll cost you a kidney.
