Harvesting Second Cut Hay! Mowing, Raking, Baling, Wrapping Silage Bales

Hey America,
Today we are harvesting second cut hay! We hardly got anything this year due to a drought and terrible field growth. Next year we should have a huge harvest because we no-till seeded grasses that we actually want, spread nitrogen, and covered one of our fields with tons of manure. Everything we use is organic, but we are not certified*

Got to love the 4230 cold start! The only JD that needed ether to start even in the summer! We have had one on the farm since off the lot in the 70s and it’s always started that hard! Hay crop up in central Maine sucked after the drought this summer. Hope you got enough for the winter.

Yeah I don’t doubt it 😂
Once it gets running though it runs forever and stays fairly cool. Same, it was so bad here. We just got enough... luckily we have a lot left over from last year.
