Do you have a video on making them?
Where can I get plans for YOUR chicken tractors? 0:46
How did you like the chipper?
Hey can you give me info on your build for your tractors ?
Have you tried puttin a pvc pipe across the back as a bumper to keep them moving the stoneyridgefarmer has a set up like that
The last tree/limb in the video was a live white ash tree.
That thing likes fresh ash
I'm sure it does, all tree care equipment does. But; it's an endangered species and should be protected by us tree care personnel. We have to hold ourselves to a higher standard or we've lost or moral obligation to do what we can for trees and plant life buddy.
I am a Cow NaNa who needs to up grade my wooden chicken tractors:) I raise 150 birds yearly and am so happy to finally find a design that is light enough for an old hag to move:) Can you please show us in a little more detail making the angles on the EMT, such as the measurements of the sides where your making the angle and what you used to make them. Loved your video and I appreciate a young person working hard and sharing what you have learned. Keep up the great job and I LOVE the interview asking your girls if they love you:)))Thank you so much!
Hello - I purchased some of your beef from a local farm in Mass. Do you guys sell direct to consumer? Can I email you? Thanks!
Hello! Yes we do! We sell whole cow, half cow, and per pound. Please email “djojnissi1 at comcast.net” Thank you!
Nice setup you have there! I have a buddy that is in Royalton that I picked up a Woodmizer in Newnon Georgia back in 1989. Also I have a diy mill that I can saw 36 inch diameter by 22 foot long log! Are you guys in Washington Vermont and where can I see your place?
Awesome job gentlemen! Just a word of advice from a fellow sawyer, make sure to run your engine when using your hydraulics, it will quickly drain your battery if you don't. keep sawing!!!
Hi flow or standard?
😊
We have a 2555 open station on our farm. Love seeing the old ones runnin
What/how are the angles done? To be a little clearer, I'm asking if you can share how you marked off your pipe and what are the angles in degrees . Thank you for your share, and also for taking time with my question . . . I thought I could figure it out, but at today's cost of emt I just couldn't afford to experiment until I got it . . . So Thanks again
Hey what happened...where did you guys go....more videos please
Hey sorry we’ve been busy with the farm. We should start back up in the next few months though!
I'm going to subscribe just for these two boys I love to see them get dirty and do work
Another vote for HORRIBLE idea to put your arm under logs. If you know that simple 'O' rings are all that keep the hydraulic pressure holding that log up.... terrible idea.
Nice log to practice on . Not much good .
Sweet 4230
Man look at that snow. We do not get a lot of snow here where we are in Chile. Just a lot of rain. Love the transit set up to level. Is the Mill sitting on concrete? Seems like that would e a good answer. We have been doing this all by had with our neighbors mill. It takes a whole day to get his home made mill set up. Thanks for this video. Jim in Chile
Haha yeah lots of snow here in VT for sure. It’s not on a slab but we plan on pouring one for it in the future.
Hello from Chile. My son Thomas and I are looking at the LT40 here in Chile. What do you think ? We hope to be milling exotic hardwoods here in Chile WAAAAAAAAAAyyyyyy south of us here in Patagonia. We would have to have the saw mill brought in by ship or helicopter. It would be cool if you both could come down and give us a hand. We have been here for 10 years from Chile. On the other side of the globe from VERMONT for sure. My son Thomas is the last of the 6 home with us and he is excited seeing you all do this work. Jim
Hey Jim, we LOVE the LT40. Highly recommend it. It’s simple to use and puts out a lot of lumber. Lol I’ll let you know if I’m in Chile and I’ll stop by! Good luck!
@@RoccaDiCambioFarm We have had over 100 visitors in the past 4 years come stay with us here in Chile from all over the former USA. I grew up like yall on a big farm in South Carolina. We had Herefords and we bailed a lot of hay.... 18,000 small bails a year. That is why I have no back now... Lori, Thomas would love to have you come here and visit and stay with us. Come see us. We are coming into spring now here in Chile. Jim

Sure looks like fun! 😃
Oh yeah!
Looks like good hay. It’s been rough this year in Maine
Yeah it made some nice feed. Same here, but with all this rain 2nd cuts gonna be amazing
Bravo pour ce que vous faites du Nouveau- Brunswick Canada
Gratzi
Hey it is Julia
Hey!
I built my own bale wrapper like this one from bottom up........works great.....if interested.......give me a way to contact you.
Thank you. I tried what you said and it works great!
@@RoccaDiCambioFarm Great to hear it works for you ! Also.........when starting a new bale and the plastic if not attached to anything...."".before ""putting the bale on the machine have him tuck the plastic under one of the belts on the wrapper. It saves time. This way when its 20 below zero.... the plastic is not still attached to the net wrap. Maybe you remove everything at one time........but I use twine. Its so annoying to have the plastic removed...but not quite. .just that one tied on tip is still there. Another trip off of the loader tractor. !!!!! Your operation is almost exactly like mine. I try to leave a space between the bottom bales so the dog can get between the bales. This way coons .....rabbits wont bother the bales quite as much. The dog makes his daily trips hunting for mice rabbits.........whatever ! Your Grappler is nearly the same as mine. Love that thing ! I use round bale feeders to feed the cows. I fixed a " Y " shape inside my bale feeders using light duty chains. Bolted in the center. The chain hangs down in the center of the bale feeder about two feet. I use my grapplers to move the bale feeders by straddling one of the chains and lifting them with the grapplers. However before you do that.... consider welding a bur on the top side of each side of the grappler. Otherwise the chain slips off. Then always keep the grappler tipped slightly downward. Or the chain will slide back. It can become a problem getting the bale feeder / chain off of your loader / frame !
I built my own bale wrapper like this one....... dont cut the plastic when the bale is finished wrapping......dump it......and set the new bale on the plastic thats streched across the machine. Should not have to do anything but wrap !
Good bales and good job wrapping too
Thank you!
@aired out
you need to do that before they weigh as much as you do!
I know haha… next time
Very cool. What brand is that net wrapper and approximately how much does it cost per bale to wrap them?
It’s a Salsco wrapper and I think it’s roughly $3 a bale
Control the back legs , you will have less problems
Yes I noticed that!
Thanks for the video ,glad to see youngsters wrestling calves
super champion
love to see these young lads so enthusiastic!!! awesome work guys.......not on your phones complaining!!
We definitely like to work!
I sure hope you don’t eat with those filthy fingernails
Hi? How much this machine? Please ?
Great video, thanks! We have an S62 we use on small acreage and are renting the Brushcat to try it to see if we want to actually purchase it. This was a really helpful video for us. Thanks from Colorado!
No problem. Love the T62, totally recommend it.
How much
Hi
The rooster crowing makes it!
Those chicken tractors are great! Do you have any dimensions of the degree bends and the material that was used?
No, but it’s 3/4”x10’ EMT that is bent in the middle and then bent on both ends. I just bought one 1/2”x10’ tube and figured out my degrees with that
@@RoccaDiCambioFarm bends (Degrees) how far away from the end of the tubing?
@@kevinholbrook7174 If I remember correctly 2ft
Nice to see young men working hard to get somewhere in life an show other young people a good path to follow.
Thanks bud we’re trying our best!
Oktcj
How many birds can you fit in it?
Non
great job guys!! if you guys want to minimise your waste when cutting 16 footer you can always cut a 8-10-12' piece on your first cut, start cutting at half the log.. you then cut your waste in less than half
Yes, our friend just said that so we are going to try it. Thanks for the tip though!
