At the end of a long day of bailing hay, the baler caught fire. While the baler was a loss, the rolled hay in the field was safe. BCFD Tanker 31, Tanker 41, Brush 31 and Brush 41 responded.
We had a baler catch fire a few years ago. The answer for us was two of us un hooking whatever we could, then getting away from the heat for a second, then my son in law jumped on the tractor while I ran in and pulled the pin. Never a dull moment on the farm 😊

How the actual heck did the guy unhook it while it was starting to burn? I mean there are hydrolic hoses and cardan shaft and other stuff...
wotb Livestream : I guess he was “experienced” in unhooking. They had hooked up another baler and were still working, while we put this one out. 😃
