Therefore, it is very difficult to take photos. Due to unnecessary touches, most of the time it is difficult to hold the phone in our hand, so the curved display is very bad
I don't understand why you need to wirelessly charge your phone at home, because you still plug in the wireless charger to the wall socket every time you want to use it. Or if you left that plugged in all the time, whether its being used or not, it wastes electricity. It's the most inefficient way to charge your phone. It wastes a lot of electricity while making your device very hot. Yeah, I like the idea of wireless chargers on cars or public transports. That's a great idea, because you don't normally have your charger with you! In that case wireless chargers are useful
@@insearchofafriendCome on, bro. What convenience do you really get from not plugging in your device, which only takes 1-2 seconds, and instead letting it heat up with wireless charging?
@@insearchofafriend okay, here's the thing. To be able to have a convenient way to charge your phone, your wireless charger needs to be plugged in to the electricity all the time, which means, whether you use it to charge your device or not, it wastes electricity. Problem is when companies push in update to kill your phone then you will not like it at all. They void your warranty for your fault if you drop your phone but when it's their own fault they are not answerable to anyone.

I have been using Moto Edge 40 since last year and most of the people don't even mention that phone's name anymore, so this phone too won't matter once Moto Edge 60 Pro launches
I have been using curve display for past 4 years, I agree with you. I personally don't use tempered glass by choice but most people do and it is just not practical on curve display.
The best trend is the increasing software update policy. First samsung increased it, then OnePlus did it and it will force others to follow too. It will increase the longevity of smartphones.
1. The camera is Good. 2. Battery is Good. 3. Display is Good. 4. Hardware has some issues. As sometimes app gets crashed. 5. Mobile gets warm if we play any game. 6. Charging speed is Good.

No it isn't. The glue's density won't allow it to get inside the screen. Worst case scenario, it'll get inside ports and damage them. And green line issues are more prominent in flat displays as of now, which don't need UV glass application.
The biggest lie of this year is that 20k to 40 k category Is filled with good options. The actual points are - 1. brands launching phones which are great in only one particular department and miserable in the rest . 2. All the sub brands are going in 20-30-40k segment and ruining flagship entrants with bad software experiences . 3. this year we don't even have a proper all rounder forget flagship killer in the sub 40k category. that gives a great overall experience .. 4. And brands tainting their reputation with bad customer support ; and hardware/software failures like motorola and one plus .. p s - i m still using a 3 year old mi 11 lite 5g ne and a proper successor to overall experience on this device 8s still far from the horizon.
You nailed it in your comment. The wow factor is just gone, no matter the price bracket. I'm still daily-driving my Mi A1 and I remember how I was literally jumping when, at the phone launch, they mentioned it was going to be Xiaomi hardware with Google software. Imagine getting that level of excitement for a then 15k phone, and now even 30-40k phones struggle to create much excitement. Manufactured mediocrity at it's peak!
@@parsibavaMi A1 was an epic piece .. my mom was using it till last month .. I am not particularly a Xiaomi enthusiast to be honest . but sometimes the company brought in some solid all rounders, MI A! being one of them .. And YES ! the excitement doesn't exist till 60k honestly. The specs war has begun all over again .
I'm 100% in on this one, still using my K20 pro and I'm unable to find a good replacement for this with the budget of 30-35K. There is always something in a phone which I find missing when I compare it with a phone I purchased 5 year ago Lmao.
I own the same variant and every bit of your word was damn true. The camera is a bit more laggy and there's a slight heating issue. The ufs 2.2 storage acts like a burden too. The only thing that made people enquire about my phone was its curved display and in hand feeling also it has 144 hz refresh rate which the processor is not capable of handling. Maybe I'll rate nord 4 a bit above but i cant be sure as im unaware of its demerits. But ill still say if you want a complete package of everything maybe this is the best option.
Have been using it for 3 months. And the issues I am facing is. When I am speaking to a person on WhatsApp call for some reason the phone automatically starts adding others to the call. When sending a contact on WhatsApp for some reason it will send other contacts too. The phone keeps showing liquid in the usb port when putting it to charge even though the phone hasn't been exposed to water. Battery discharges super fast. Planning to move back to my old realme x7pro which was much better
So if i understand this correctly: 1. Sensors are good, pictures are fine but the SOC isn't powerful enough for video recording 1a. slower UFS2 storage probable cause for the lag 2. Vegan leather scratches up easily 3. Not waterproof at all according to users in comments 4. Curved display is very risky. Scratches + you actually need to pay for replacement 5. No updates or useful features 6. Not for gaming! Basically this phone is for people who aren't tech savvy
I might be wrong (which incase i am SUPER sorry) But im pretty sure with a decently strong phone case you can protect most of the phone (doesnt have to be omega pricy) It IS for gaming, as long as its not genshin impact (Which motorola phones SUFFER from running) The phone is decent at gaming. There are some good features only motorola has. And yes it isnt waterproof, as long as it isnt more than a few droplets. I agree that there might be lag in the phone, well ofc since it isnt 2k dollars or such.
@@jaswanthbandaru429That's a weird bug. I also had it in the qs panel but one day I reset the position of the tiles and since then it is nowhere to be seen.
Bought three Moto phones between 2022-24: Edge 20 Pro, G82 5G, and G51 5G. Edge 20 overheated after a year and straight-up died. G82 fell from my dad’s pocket, acted weird for a bit, and then the motherboard gave up after a month. G51 had charging port issues and lost network connectivity within a year. Tried fixing them, but parts aren’t available, and Motorola service says they’re basically done. Now, all three are useless.
I've used moto phones in the past. My dad and grandpa have been using it without any issues. My dad has the Moto edge 40 and grandpa has the Moto edge 20 fusion and both are working incredibly well. The phones don't lag at all and have no issue whatsoever. I think you just got unlucky with defective prodictsv
@dasquirrel451 opening apps is reading the stored data, but shooting with a camera is a bunch of random writing to the storage. obviously reading is faster than writing
Worst thing about moto edge 50 pro is 1. You cant change navigation buttons position but it's available in edge 50 fusion 2. You will not get magic editor in photos app which is basically available in cheaper moto models 3. Extreme battery saving mode is not available in edge 50 pro but it is available in edge 50 4. Ai canvas feature is available in edge 50 but you will not get it in edge 50 pro
After using and still using for last 3 months I can say: 1. Yes I agree whenever I put this in pocket it sometimes get false fingerprint 2. Performance and battery life is very good 3. Camera is very good , clicks pic consistently good but takes time to process images 4. UI doesn't feels premium, feels like iam using normal phone 5. Display is good , curved display doesn't give any advantage have to protect from scratches, need costly tempered glass i bought it at 300 also
I've been using this phone since launch time. And honestly I hate it more with each passing day. Software has a lot of bugs which aren't getting patched with updates that are already so rare. And don't get me started on the curved screen, this will be my first and last curved screen phone.
It cannot be fixed beyond a point. With updates it'll get better but, for the heavy processing the software does, SD 7Gen3 is not powerful enough. - Pratik
@@techwiser Pratik bhai. But the I have used Edge 50 Fusion . It received a 695mb last week and camera lag solved a lot in that considering it has a SD 7s Gen 2. So Motorola atleast should improve camera UI lag. The post processing is okay it will take time can't help for that
Isn't it dependent on the sotrage which in this case is UFS 2.2 . Motorola is stock android so the processor can handle the tasks but r/w speed of the storage is too slow.@@techwiser

Serious Problem in Motorola⚠️ i had always used Stock android phones in past, my last phone was Asus zenfone Max pro M2. When i decided to upgrade because no one was giving clean software and moto is alone for that part, No Competitors. i chose motorola and bought Moto G82 in June 2022 i loved the phone, performance, camera, funky gestures everything. But sadly, this week i got two green lines all of a sudden, no drops no water damage, no physical damage at all, i have never dropped it. Through their forum and websites i got service centres number. They are not going to give free screen replacement like Oneplus. Sad part I can't even sell it anymore. Very few are talking about this issue in Moto, hope you'll take this in notice.
Motorola website 😅 has a list of individual parts costing with GST and without service charge. And if you check for edge 30 it's 7155, at service centre it's 9300 . While the edge 30 itself won't sell for more than 3000 to 5000 in the exchange
Motorola phones are highly prone to water ingress issues and 3 of my friends have suffered with warranty void due to water ingress in the first 3 months of purchase itself. I was a fan of Moto phones which I am not more now 😮
So I recently got the Edge 50, I'm coming from Realme. And as I continue to daily drive the device I'm finding basic features missing here and there (like wifi passthrough, custom icon pack support, AOD, ability to hide apps from app drawer, severe lack of customisation options in the ui etc), but the most disappointing part is that there is no official community or forum to request these features to Motorola. Moreover, given the update situation with the company I'm not hopeful to get long term support from them. 😥

I have been using my Edge 30 from Motorola for past 2 years now and I must say, the camera lag is the biggest issue for me, right from the very beginning. Sometimes if I had to click a quick picture of someone's address. So what I would do is open the camera wait for 4sec then tap on the shutter button wait for 2sec for the phone to register and then wait 6-9sec to complete the processing, then I put the phone back in my pocket. And when I come back home I tried to find the photo that I click and surprise surprise the image did NOT EVEN GOT SAVED 🤯 This lag in the camera app forced me to NOT use the camera at all, instead just memorize the address or whatever I'm trying to do. Next year, not buying a Motorola 🙂
Yup same issue with mine, have been using GCam ever since I bought it, much faster and better looking images. Only issue with GCam is only the main camera works best and video recording is not that good.

@@universemaster100 As Samsung has already discontinued curved screens for their flagships and Apple never even adopted them,so I dont think "curved displays" should necessarily be considered a flagship or premium feature anymore. My review for 75 Days using Motorola Edge 50 Pro : Pros - 1. Camera - you couldn't buy a better camera in this price range, it is so good and processed that going by the opinions of those around me, it has a better camera than the S22 Ultra (I know it sound like BS, and I think so too, but somehow people always choose the results with this camera) 2. Display - I don't have enough words to describe the magnificence of this display. 3. Charging - I bought the 8GB variant, so I have the 68W charger, but It is damn good, it charges the phone in under 40 Minutes and heats less than the 125W charger. 4. Speakers - Oh my god, they are loud, so much so that with average noise I can still hear a song (Slightly Distorted ofc) on the phone from 2 rooms away. And when you are sitting close to the phone, the highs, the mids and that smooth voice with no cracking, its like chef's kiss 5. Software - I gotta give Motorola Props for this, there were some random bugs in my unit earlier but after the July Patch, I haven't faced even one, and the Bubbly smooth Animations with attention to detail is the best, might even be better than One UI. So much so that sometimes I am just captivated by the RAM animation and side swipe to back. 6. Mic - Oh, h3ll is it good, the 2 mics do make a lot of sense, they might even be on par with a lavelier mic that can retail for around 1000-1500₹, so much so that I am thinking of using the inbuilt mic for creating youtube videos. 7. In Hand - TBH I have never been a case kind of guy, so I've been using my phone naked, and the vegan leather feels so good that for my first month with the phone I used to rub it on my cheeks. 8. Connectivity - I mean, this shouldn't even be a surprise, Moto phones are better in connectivity at every price range. Cons - 1. Display is very easily scratched, I'm not even exaggerating, it has 3 of the Level 7 scratches and atleast 5 level 6s, and as for level 5, might be less than 3. 2. The Vegan leather from the corners is already torn due to excessive amount of falls and bumps. 3. Although this is a chipset problem I am going to mention it, there is lag in 4K 60FPS UA-cam Playback. 4. Shutter Delay - Its annoying but manageable, and so far is the only bug in the entire phone. Decent - 1. Battery - People would think that a 4500mAh battery couldn't to much but I use the phone at full 1.5K 144Hz with around 90% Brightness, around 75% volume and play heavy games like Asphalt 9, CODM, COD Warzone, BGMI on highest settings on turbo gaming mode for 2-3 continuous hours, and after exhausting a lot of phones with 5000mAh Batteries this much, I generally get around 5-6 Hours of SOT, and this phone gave me equal results. 2. Durabiltiy - You don't need to worry about the display breaking accidentally, it's strong. 3. Storage Speed - Some people called it "Sponsored" but the UFS 2.2 is Faster than usual UFS 2.2 and even some 3.1.

I have been using this phone for around 5 months now. Pros: Camera is laggy but the picture quality is great. I mean great. Good for daily usage, am not a gaming person so works great for me This device is great to consume media - great curved display with loud dual speaker, i have stopper using earphones at home - everything is played on the phone speakers. The in hand feel of the phone is great with vegan leather Cons: Major con for me is battery - the SOT is not consistent. With a similar usage i get SOTs between 4.5 to 6.5 Mostly around 5-5.5 hours with display refresh rate at auto. If i set it at 144hz, the battery sucks and SOT is of just 4.5hours The battery optimisation is sometimes brutal, killing apps even after exempting the apps from it Am a very avg(heavy in terms of insta/whatsapp/yt) user of phone, so other than this i can hardly fond any cons.

I believe I've found a solution for the camera lag you're experiencing on your Moto Edge 50 Pro. Please try the following steps:
* Disable RAM Boost:
* Go to your device's System Settings.
* Look for a setting labeled RAM Boost or similar.
* Toggle this setting to Off.
* Change System Font:
* Open the Moto app on your device.
* Navigate to the Personalization section.
* In the Font options, select the Android font instead of the default Motorola font.

The actual points are -
1. brands launching phones which are great in only one particular department and miserable in the rest .

So if i understand this correctly:
1. Sensors are good, pictures are fine but the SOC isn't powerful enough for video recording
1a. slower UFS2 storage probable cause for the lag
2. Vegan leather scratches up easily
3. Not waterproof at all according to users in comments
4. Curved display is very risky. Scratches + you actually need to pay for replacement
5. No updates or useful features
6. Not for gaming!
Basically this phone is for people who aren't tech savvy

My review for 75 Days using Motorola Edge 50 Pro :
Pros -
1. Camera - you couldn't buy a better camera in this price range, it is so good and processed that going by the opinions of those around me, it has a better camera than the S22 Ultra (I know it sound like BS, and I think so too, but somehow people always choose the results with this camera)
And when you are sitting close to the phone, the highs, the mids and that smooth voice with no cracking, its like chef's kiss
Cons -
Decent -

At least in India OP will give a free replacement for that issue. Samsung S23? iPhone 15 Pro Max? Motorola G52? All can have green line issue that you will have to pay for.

Motorola has given me the most frustrating experience ever. The brand new edge 50 pro mobile had moisture inside the camera and calling motorola service told me "The moisture is a software issue" and didn't replace the mobile. I mean literally! you open the box, boot it up and try out the camera and its foggy! why? because it actually has water inside! out of the box (new feature maybe). The service center never picked up the phone and denied my request to give a backup phone (my last phone broke that's why I bought the edge 50 pro). They took over 21 days to repair it.
2 months after the back panel is coming off, expecting 30 days to not use my phone again.
My edge 30 got green lines one time under warranty and replaced it for free(one and half month for repair) .After 7 months it got green lines again and in the last update the scree got completely green. The service center and Motorola said there is no free repairs for software issues after warranty and they said the repair will cost 10k.
Exactly same issue, just time gap is 1 year. Last year July August green line within warranty. This year again😢 after software updates

How good is Moto's camera when it's compared with the Realme GT 6T?
I am using the Edge 40 for the past 7 month and I seldom use the default camera app.
I have 4 Gcam Mods which I use for camera.
4?!!!!! All installed at a time and simultaneously working? How?! Each installation didn't replace the previous?
The one question in mind is all the sensors are working fine for the previous 6 months or not ?... As my relatives share me bad review for moto sensors
Sir, I recently bought moto edge 50 pro, after using it for 15days, it had charging issues (connecting and disconnecting the charger automatically). I visited my nearby service centre(kolkata). They took 20 days to solve the problem. And after that when they returned the device, they scratched the camera glass and denied their fault. After visiting another service centre in kolkata, I had to wait another 20 days to get the solution. Now I'm using it, but it's not worth it. They should give extended warranty for in box faulty products or replace them.

I know I sound like I am defending the brand but, my moto edge 50 pro had some random bugs in the software, there have been no software updates since but a July patch came out on August 5th, and trust me when I say the only lag in the phone is the shutter delay in the camera app, all the random bugs were fixed just by one patch, and there is lag in 4K 60fps HDR playback on UA-cam but that is a problem of 7 gen 3, and yes the video should be in 4K 60FPS and HDR to lag
As there is no dedicated app lock in the Moto edge 50 pro, please suggest a good 3rd party app lock which can be used in this mobile
i got edge 50 last week.
pros: everything techbar has mentioned
cons: camera lags a lot, cant do fps gaming due to extreme overheat, battery does drop fast if keep using continously, afraid of if it will get any updates, connects to 5ghz wifi very slow
to fix any issue:
reboot the phone in safe mode [hold power button for 30 seconds]
which ever system app you facing issue with reset the app settings and setup again
this has fixed my camera lag and wifi slow connectivity issue.

the tempered glass for motorola edge 50 fusion costed 900, and from day 2 there were detachment issues
Bro all edge 50 series have same screen size even edge 40 there's little difference between them.and 900 is not correct in online you can get for 450-500
Same, detachment issues for me as well, but what works for me is Ive applied a screen guard, like a scratch protection, it's not a glass, more like rubber, and on the back I use a strong cover. I'm very clumsy, already dropped the phone a few times, even face first, but nothing happened till now
Wonderful!

I've been using the Motorola Edge 50 Pro for 3 months, and it's been a frustrating experience. Within a month, the screen shattered from a minor fall poor build quality. Later, the phone stopped charging due to 'liquid detection' issues, even though it wasn't exposed to water. The service center refused to repair it under warranty because of the screen damage, even though the issues were unrelated. Reached out multiple times, but Motorola's customer service has been disappointing. Anyone else facing similar problems? #BadExperience #PoorService"
+ in 1+ you get additional features like
Pink green or Rainbow lines
It's a gacha system in there
I have been using this phone for around 5 months now.
Pros:
Camera is laggy but the picture quality is great. I mean great.
Good for daily usage, am not a gaming person so works great for me
This device is great to consume media - great curved display with loud dual speaker, i have stopper using earphones at home - everything is played on the phone speakers.
The in hand feel of the phone is great with vegan leather
Cons:
Major con for me is battery - the SOT is not consistent. With a similar usage i get SOTs between 4.5 to 6.5
Mostly around 5-5.5 hours with display refresh rate at auto. If i set it at 144hz, the battery sucks and SOT is of just 4.5hours
The battery optimisation is sometimes brutal, killing apps even after exempting the apps from it
Am a very avg(heavy in terms of insta/whatsapp/yt) user of phone, so other than this i can hardly fond any cons.
I believe I've found a solution for the camera lag you're experiencing on your Moto Edge 50 Pro. Please try the following steps:
* Disable RAM Boost:
* Go to your device's System Settings.
* Look for a setting labeled RAM Boost or similar.
* Toggle this setting to Off.
* Change System Font:
* Open the Moto app on your device.
* Navigate to the Personalization section.
* In the Font options, select the Android font instead of the default Motorola font.
While this might seem unconventional, it has worked for me, and I hope it helps resolve your camera lag issue."
Hope this helps
