    Slides were typically square, and rounded corners. You might get some vignetting because the light source was a single bulb, so there might be some light fall-off, although I don't think this occurred when they were new, but rather as a result from usage. Also the vignetting is a light fall off, not a blur. Scratches and dirt were probably there seeing as it is film, however you might want to use that sparingly as well, since if you kept your projector and slides in good condition, they would be fairly free of artifacts. (never 100% but in a lot of cases depending on how good you were to your equipment).

    Nice effect. Just a note: a real slide projector would move the image (each photo frame is slid in and out), so it might feel a bit more authentic if the stills moved instead of the background moving across the image.

    Superb, as usual MrAT. I'd love to see a tutorial on implementing the "Ken Burns Effect" with particular emphasis on how to achieve smooth "easing". No matter how much I try, I always have abrupt starts and stops with hold, zoom, pan, hold operations. If it's possible, show us how to do this without resorting to Fusion.

    • @MrAlexTech
      @MrAlexTech  2 роки тому

      Hiya Peter, many thanks :) I generally just stick with using an Adjustment Clip and then Dynamic Zooms for nice smooth zooms and pans. The keyframe editor on the edit page is horrible to use to get nice clean animations unfortunately.
      For zooms and holds etc it's much tricker, so i made this tool to do it for me 😆

    I tried it with fusion frames (like shown on anothrr of your tutorials) and now I have the problem to get rid of the frames. With Strg+C and ALT+V the fusion frames are easily on every slide, but after deleting the frame in one it doesn‘t work the same way to delete so I have to delete it in every single picture (50).
    Can you help with showing a shorter way? Thanks

    Is there an easy way to add a curvy Hair in the Gate, that Flickers as though being affected by the Projectors Fan

    • @MrAlexTech
      @MrAlexTech  2 роки тому

      Hey thanks Billy.
      Not built in to resolve but you could do it. Off the top of my head (and without resolve in front of me 😆) I would find a PNG image on Google of a hair. Search hair PNG, single hair etc they'll be some clipart somewhere I'm sure. Drop that onto the timeline. Within effects library grab a Blur (Gaussian or Lens would work best I think) and drop it onto the PNG. Adjust the blur it so it looks out of focus, like it's too close etc. Then drop the Flicker Addition effect onto it. I think something like that could work 🙂

    Hey Alex, another great tutorial!! I have watched quite a few of your vids, I'm new to all of this but have my free copy of Davinci Resolve 17. I find that my laptop crashes quite a bit. I'm running windows 10 ( I think ) 16GB RAM and have a 512GB SSD hard drive. Do I need more to make it run more smoothly? I would really appreciate your input . . .

    • @bluephoenixtwo
      @bluephoenixtwo 2 роки тому

      Crashes will happen if you have too many things running. Close as many other apps and browser tabs and email as possible. You may want to do a restart and only open DaVinci. That should help. Good luck.
