For those who are confused, the "she" Abe is mentioning is Sam, she's the queen of the mudokon's and Abe's mother, ordinally she was gonna make her debut in Munch's oddysee, but her storyline was scrapped due to time. When Abe mentions his stiches are the only memory he has of her and how she gave him them, Lanning (I think) said that his mother had no choice but to sew his lips when he was a baby because he often cried and would no doubt be killed for that
I actually remember the ending text for Abe's Exoddus (or perhaps the one you get for saving all 300 Mudokons) mentions that Abe will be able to save Sam in Munch's Oddysee. Of course, that didn't happen, but you get my point.
The only thing i'm disappointed for is... THERE AREN'T ANY CARTOON SOUNDS(maybe except some rare moments in the levels). Luckly with the 1.08 patch the bugs are now all eliminated(thought you should know and if you are curious go and read it because there are even some... Upragrades!)
Stranger is in a void for being canon. It's not a part of the quintology yet it could be canon since it takes place in western mudos. So nothing really changes from there. But, Munch is unofficially not canon anymore since that starts from exoddus and soulstorm is completely different. I say unofficially because maybe the next new quintology is a Munch reimagining but that's unknown.
Lorne Lanning said that if they are going to continue the new quintology Munch and Stranger will play a role but not as bigger as they were in their respective games
