- Montrose is an offbeat neighborhood known for its gay bars, vintage stores and eclectic mix of eateries, which range from quaint cafes to Mexican cantinas and Mediterranean bistros. It’s also home to hip indie art galleries and the octagonal Rothko Chapel, featuring huge abstract murals by its namesake artist. With its downtown skyline views, Eleanor Tinsley Park is a popular spot for picnics and sand volleyball. ― Google
Wonderful. This neighborhood witnessed my wild youth. I must say I'm lucky to make it out alive and now living a satisfying domesticated life in a gated neighborhood. I rarely make it out past the museum district these days...Lol. Oh, Montrose...the things i saw good and bad....you will always be a wonderful, fun memory.
Great! The neighborhood looks as good as ever. However the street itself shows all the patches over patches.
Yes! Can you do please Sugar Land Marriott Town Square the 8th Floor and Room 818.
Great
i lived on lower Westheimer in the summer of 74...it wasnt much different then from now..just less zoning probably, there were strip clubs up and down the road and right next door to apartments and businesses
Oh wow! You should come back Houston has changed a lot!
There is still no zoning. Lower Westheimer, between Whitney and Bagby was better in the 70s and 80s. Most of those large old houses that were converted to restaurants and business are g one. Many have been replaced by small strip shopping centers. Of course, there are still some of them left, but not like before. Things have been “cleaned up” since then, but I really miss all the old houses.
wonderful needs a little music
