    “Thumbs up” if you’ve ever almost been hit by a golf ball on the course 🤣. Great video

      I kept thinking to myself at that moment if I should have laid down on the ground like I was knocked out but my wife gave me a stern warning about my lack of care in white pants! So, I did what most would do, I went over and teed the ball up really high (so he/she would have a good lie) and resumed filming.

      Does being hit by your own ball count?

    I concentrate on staying down with good shoulder rotation, not turn but rotation with slight club lag at address and contact. I keep the face square at address and not moving my hands, the hands will hinge automatically on the back swing and stay square to the ball on the down swing. My contact has improved immensely! Now I have to as shown in the video have better pressure on my front side. Great video!

    This drill helped me figure out why my miss is consistently a pull hook with every club in the bag. When I keep my lead shoulder down,or at least think about that as I swing,ball goes straight with irons and with long clubs actually starts a little right and draws back to the middle. Can’t thank you enough,this drill worked for me!

    Another thing that helps is allowing the lead-side heal to come off the ground, then fire the heal into the ground as you turn. The trend in the last 30 years was to get away from that movement but just look at all the legendary golfers who used that technique. Many teachers are starting to bring that back into the fold and the long-drive players were at the forefront of it.

      They hit a provisional into the tree right behind me. Homeboy/girl had a good case of the lefts. Ball was coming in hot off the first tee. I ordered a hockey goalie helmet same day. I’m going to look like Patrick Roy in all the videos moving forward.

    👍 driver ball on my shin! Chris how many drills do you need to get this under control? This is something under control

      Each person is different really. Ideally, you want to get at least 100+ quality reps in per session of a real movement pattern that you would be trying to use on the golf course. This will allow the brain to index the info when you go into REM sleep at night. When you first get started, you may have to do slow choppy reps and build into fluidity as you go through the session. The subsequent sessions will become easier to jump right into the movements.

    I think I make good weight transfer but don’t get open. I’ll practice this. I’m a little confused about the idea of trying to keep the lead shoulder low. Doesn’t it have to go up through impact?

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  3 місяці тому

      Yes, it has to be higher and continue to move higher. However, LOTS of students have way too much secondary tilt at or before impact that causes the low point to become less consistent as well as it shift the swing plane a bit and can make for more shallow delivery into the point of contact. From face on, the spine should leaned just outside the lead knee as considered optimal in most cases. A little more or less is certainly fine but is player/shot dependent. Hope that helps and hope you’re great Jason.

      @@MyGolfDNA That clears it up. I wonder if that is why my contact feels so weak when I am working on my side bend. Well, I have plenty to work on, thanks.

    Hi Chris. When your club head reaches the ball, is your chest parallel to the ball/feet? Then your hands pass through followed by the chest? My big problem was spinning out/over the top. Thanks in advance

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  Місяць тому

      Yes, that is correct. Sorry for the delay in response. I have no idea how I missed your comment(s). If you’re spinning out, make sure you try to keep your core wound when your making the shift to the lead side. Then control the upper body rotation through your obliques.
