Tonight is Burns Night, where Scotland celebrates its most famous Bard, Robert Burns, by reciting poetry and eating haggis 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🥃
We join Army veteran Cammy Goodall at the Army School of Bagpiping in Edinburgh. Accompanied by pipers from the school, he recites the poem ‘Address to a Haggis’.

My mother was from Edinburgh, and used to call me and my brother wee cockney goats, when we played her up.
We ate Haggis, Neeps and tatties, and got Our Wullie and The Broons annuals every Christmas.
And everyone in London knew a "Scotch" Jonny or Jimmy!

This reminds me of that clip for QI. The address had been translated to German for an abroad celebration of Burnsnight. But the Germans translated it back witch gave us the hilarious set of words: "Mighty Furher of the Sausage People"

I used to work for a firm where the chief executive was Scottish. One year at the firm's annual party, he 'addressed the haggis' wearing full Highland regalia. It was very theatrical.
