- Check out the new addition to my 2020 Winnebago Revel from Canyon Adventure Vans. I now have a full work station and additional storage to the back garage of my sprinter. I also do a hands-on portrait demonstration of Jason, the owner of CAV on the side of my van truly making it a Photo Studio on Wheels.

That Revel is the ultimate photographers travel case on wheels! 🙌📸
I remember my whole photography changed when I bought my first light and learned that 1/200 cuts out ambient light, shooting in daylight but it looks as though you’re in the dark, takes any subject and composition to the next level
good to have you back
I'm shocked at the last pic! His lighting skills always amaze!
Great to see you again. I see your living my dream!
I'm digging this Revel a lot. this install that Jason has is simple yet very functional.
Joel Grimes, my lighting hero. 😍. Greetings from Germany
I love your work and the travel Van. It's what I've been working towards upgrading my mobile studio business. Congrats!
Joel- my son just installed a GLSS and originally he also had the table bracket sticking out into the center space as a “shin buster”. There is a way to move it inside the storage bin profile as pictured on Canyon Vans website photos. Happy and healthy trails!
Uau exelente ideia parabéns 👏👏👏😃🇧🇷
Cool dude.
Must say. I like his style.
I love the magnet hack! Definitely gonna do that on my H3...lol
Awesome!
Interesting set up.
Topanga Canyon has a history as something of an artist’s commune, informally.
Joel that’s crazy! We just ordered our REVEL and plan on doing exactly the same set up but with a full garage drawer! I love the lounge idea I’m gonna have to give your buddy a call to see what we can come up with. I’ve literally been looking at RV’s for 10 years now and the REVEL is finally the perfect fit!! Can’t beat a 20 year mortgage and complete tax right off!!
I'm currently using Pelican and Tenba cases and Think Tank bags. A Revel like this one would be the next logical step for me, I think.
My dream was described in 11 minutes
Great stuff Joel! You are inspirational ! What is the name of the extension arm on your stand?
I think it is this www.paulcbuff.com/Mini-Boom-Arm-Offset-Arm.html
Hey Joel - excellent vid. And great looking Revel! Are you running the standard size tires/wheels? If not, what size are they? And did you have to reconfigure the vehicle wheel-wells? I'm looking to get one myself. Thanks.
I replaced the 245s with 275s that is about a big as you can go without messing with the driving assist system
@@joelgrimes7822 Cool. With 17" rims? And did the 275 require any adjustment of the wheel wells? Thanks, Joel.
Gotta get that grey background and learn that photoshop technique. I have the lighting down pretty good.
living the dream baby! Can I ask, what is the bracket holding the flash?
doubledark2 It is a Paul C Buff mini boom.
Any possibilities for us to have a video showing the steps you took while editing this shot?
What is the 90 degree offset bar called on your lightstand?
Waiting for a live workshop. I’ll wear a mask..
Great video
Thanks!
@@joelgrimes thanks for making the video and the high production value of everyone's contribution behind the scenes
What is that curved L shaped bracket which is holding the light and beauty dish? Looks convenient enough to not carry a boom arm.

Need slide outs under the benches. That way equipment is out of sight. We put them in our RDV’s for SWAT Teams.
🤓
What size is the grey backdrop?
Where did you get the offset arm on your light stand?
I think it is this www.paulcbuff.com/Mini-Boom-Arm-Offset-Arm.html
Where did you get the arm on the light stand, that the light and BD are mounted on? What is it called?
I think it is this www.paulcbuff.com/Mini-Boom-Arm-Offset-Arm.html
Brie, Here is a link to that mini boom arm. www.paulcbuff.com/Stands/Mini-Boom-Arm-Offset-Arm.html
Thanks again for another great video. Just so you know however, the word Photography in your intro, is missing the letter 'H'.
Oops, Thanks for letting us know! You triple check things and typos still slip by. We’ll try and correct it ASAP.
@@amygrimes8998 Trust me, I know all too well lol. Glad I was able to help. Keep doing what you guys do 👍👍
What kind of arm is that, the one attached to the strobe?
I couldn’t find it.
