Are they any good?

Disappointing controller. Can all you hardcore controller modders just come together, make a gofundme and finally make an end game controller? I would gladly chip in lol.
There are several people out there looking at designing controllers. However no solid info just yet.
What’s disappointing about this controller? Other than not having Hall effect which is the current fad
I agree it’s trash I want you to look up the flydigi apex 4 , it’s the best controller the sticks are amazing and I’ve owned lots of controllers you don’t pay out of your ass for it look it up
@@ChummyBoy
I think for the price it didn’t deliver.
I see a lot of broken paddle report and mine had rb snapped off to find out there are several people having same issue.
ICUE is just fine. Outer deadzone is there regardless of sensor swap. Vigorous use of OMRON switch is more than appreciable but cannot help when the button face is crumbling apart.
Please make one with hall effect joysticks. I would definitely buy one then
Hey good informative Videos...i have a question...when i Install Hall Effect Joysticks on my Xbox Wireless Controller, can i calibrate them with the Xbox Accessoires App? Without to calibrate Manual?
Honestly I think I may be super lucky cause I got my envision pro since day one and use it for about 2 hours (including back paddles and buttons) everyday except for weekends I use it for about 8 hours on weekends. The only issue I had are with the crappy icue software that will randomly delete my keybindings from time to time. So now I just do hardware binds and use steam input to change the mappings.
I honestly love this controller and thought about taking it apart to see if I could add hall effect sticks and calibration boards but thanks to your video I see that I can't. Which is not a big deal since I haven't experienced any stick drift but I will say that the stock sticks do have a bit of a more square shape than standard PS5 controllers. They are closer to an xbox sticks than the PS5 for the circularity test.
3:12 I had the same issue with mine, ended up returning it and not getting a new one. (it had other issues too) I thought I was just unlucky but perhaps not.
It seems like you would have the knowledge I’m struggling to find the info. Do you know if the Xbox scuf controller specifically the scuf instinct pro can have Hall effects installed?
Yes it can and we offer the serivce.
Could you relocate the calibration boards higher up and run trace wires?
Yeah I did tink of that. There is most likley room in there to do that.
@@UberMicroRepairsI’d love to see a video of you trying this out. Seems feasible and you seem capable.
Hmm, that controller is complicated and don't like hot air 😁... Thanks for disassembly guide.
One question, if you have some Scuf Instinct there can you please test do you have the new update on them, can you use the new tool from Xbox for calibrating?
Practice with the hotair and the modules fly out. No stress on the pads repeatable, clean results every time. Just some deviced don't lend themselvs to hot air.
Scuf Instinct is a standard #1914 inside so it will work with the Xbox software.
@@UberMicroRepairs It works with Xbox app but does not have the latest update for calibrating thumbsticks. My Scuf Instinct don't receive that update, check some of "yours" if you have.
One of the best videos I’ve seen in a while, great info per usual
Glad you enjoyed it!
Had mine for about 4 months and has stick drift already! enjoyed it before that really disappointed!
Hi!
I love your work!
I was wondering, what are the calibration boards your are using for ps5 controllers?
Where could I find it?
Keep it up!
Thanks, They are on Aliexpress.
@@UberMicroRepairsI noticed you're not using flux when desoldering components. Why is that? In one of the videos you mentioned that if you use flux ENGINEER desoldering pump gets stuck and stops doing the job.
I want to learn how to do repairs myself, what's the technical term for what you guys do? where do I begin?
buy soldering station, consumables and 1-2 broken controller, this is how I started
Buy faulty stuff. Buy decent soldering iron and hot air (check video description) and go for it. Find decent people on YT that actually explain and show the repairs (subs and views don't count where good advice is concerned), some "repair tech's" are just entertainment so don't get to suckered in to them. Join discord repair servers and interact with people who do repairs day in day out, take advice from those people. Learn, learn learn!
@@UberMicroRepairs thank you
do you know where I can buy the paddle pushbuttons, I don't mean the Omron buttons?
SCUF web site or eBay?
Great work! Could you recommend a soldering iron? Mine goes through tips so easily.. Need a decent Replacement And also a good solder sucker! (UK) :)
Thanks, here you go: amzn.to/44oBBZI
We got tools as well: ubermicro.co.uk/product-category/tools/
@@UberMicroRepairs Thankyou!
What temperature do you use when removing the thumbstick modules?
I use 395c @ 50% air flow
I returned my Envision Pro lol Bro expand to the US 🙏🏾
I would offer to the US and the rest of the world. but the goobenrment with shipping and customs charges make it impossible / uneconomical to do for good customer outcomes! In other words IT SUX!!!
Well jobs
The companies who arent using hall effect are doing it on purpose or else people wont buy as many controllers. Maybe as more and more people go to other 3rd party companies who are using the hall effect sensors, they will change their method.
I thought these come with Hall Effect sticks ?!
Nope. Scuf missed a trick there!
Wow at that price such a rip off without Hall Effects @@UberMicroRepairs
First
Best wrong input lag controller…is very bad…..
All these great controllers...ruined by potentiometers. These scummy companies I tell ya, they all definitely know hall effects exist but choose not to use it because money lol.
trash controller.. no calibration feature yet so expensive.. ds4 is so much better
Yeah at the very least calibration needed to be in the iCue software.
@@UberMicroRepairs yep I think any controller (even the non hall effects) is perfect as long as there is calibration feature so that we can easily swap to any module we want.
And some of the list that I know has it is:
- DS4
- Bigbig Won Rainbow 2 pro
- Bigbig Won Gale
- Xbox series s/x (although not yet perfect)
Is there any more controller that I missed that has a callibration in it?
(Also it need to be compatible with alps shape joystick module, that is why Gamesir is not on the list)
