    Class. Popped up on my UA-cam. Love a wee gravel ride. Few bikes but my gravel is the Vitus Substance CRS1 running 650b 47s. Good vibes. Subbed.

    NIce vid guys. It's preparing me for my Rapha Gravel ride in Stockton Illinois coming up this Memorial Day weekend. You may want to mention a Bento box for top or seat tube or even a handlebar bag to carry phone, snacks, misc.

    Great video! Just found you guys and subscribed right away. This Chanel will be big soon. Looking to buy my first gravel bike. I have a dedicated mtb and a road bike, but I’m really wanting to get rid of the road bike and just keep my mtb and get a gravel. I would like to try and stay under 2k for budget. Also, I live in Florida so gearing doesn’t have to be crazy. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

    I don’t own a gravel bike, but very informative. On the protection subject, what about protection from predators? Bear spray...etc. Is this something gravel bike riders consider? Great video!!

      That’s a great point! Based on where you live or decide to ride, that should definitely be something you carry. I’ve taken bear spray with me when riding near Yellowstone based on signs and recommendations from locals. +1 for your comment! 👊

    ahh finally someone who wears a pack. I don't get why gravel bikers don't wear these when doing huge rides.

    Very good video. Let's say I want to build a gravel bike using a old mtb frame. Do I use 700c road rims or stick with mtb rims?

    • @DialedCycling
      @DialedCycling  3 роки тому

      Is the frame rim or disc brake? Gotta make sure a different wheel would work on the frame. To keep it simple, you could run a narrow mtb tire, which wouldn't be too far off a wide gravel tire. You could also switch to a ridged fork to stiffen things up. Thanks for watching the video!

    I love where the bike industry marketing teams are taking us! People get bored on the roads and tired of dodging cars so we start riding the bad roads that cars avoid, enter the gravel boom! Next phase….gravel riders seek out more remote roads and sketchier trails and wonder if a suspension on a bike might be nice and fat knobby tires. Then full circle the converted road cyclist now the gravel rider, discovers mountain bikes all the while at each bike domain the cost of bikes and gadgets gets more and more until the final marketing adjective is reached…..the EMBT is added to the progressive lineage of biking!
    It is a great time to be on a bike!

    Ended up going with the OPEN Wide, but the BMC seems to be a great gravel bike. Can you review. Good list of gear, but you might want to add a small first aid kit. It’s right up there with Butt’R!

      Nice bike choice! A full review of the BMC URS is on the list of videos to be made... stay tuned! Yes, good call on the small first aid kit. Thanks for watching!

    What do you recommend to learn proper bike maintenance for a gravel bike?

  • @24jessjess

    Is it suitable for 6ft height

    • @DialedCycling
      @DialedCycling  Рік тому

      Yep! A large frame would likely be the best fit for that height.

      Thanks for the feedback, Kevin. Can’t say that we disagree... The learning curve on everything that goes into putting these videos together got the best of us in the first couple videos, but we promise that we are working hard to get better! 👍
