That background is just beautiful! Once again, you make it look so easy!
Thanks so much Jodie!! 😊
This came out so well. You have such amazing patience!
Thank you so much! 😊
😳💕The detail 😍 love the end result. So satisfying to watch 🤓
Thanks so much Meli 😊💕
Really gorgeous I'm sure they loved it
Thank you so much!
Very nice
Nice.
Hello,
I would like to get into the wedding business, have you started that tutorial yet? New to the Crucit world. I do mostly embroidery. Stepping out on something new. Your info is greatly appreciated. Continue the great work.
Love these so much, thank you for the inspiration! Will definitely be using your font code when attempting to do this myself. Question for the table numbers- what are the dimensions of these and did you have them on a wooden stand or how do they stand up? Thanks again :)
Hi Sydney! You are so welcome! The wood stand I make myself and the acrylics to fit are typically a 5x4 (perfect fit) or 6x4 (alittle larger for big events). Both 1/16" thick. Hope that helps!
Hey I love your work. When you say local plastics store, I am not sure what you mean. Lol. Would a craft store or a home improvement store be an option? Do you have a store that specifically sells only plastics? Thanks
What is the difference in your thicknesses - table numbers vs welcome sign?
Love you videos !
Thank you so much, Mary!
Usually 1/8" thick for welcome signs
Closer to 1/16" for table numbers or whatever will fit in my holders! Hope that helps :)
Do you remove it and reuse the plexiglass?? If so how do you remove the paint ?
Hey Carly! I'm looking to do this for my wedding signs and table numbers but with a black background. What different color paints would you recommend I use to achieve a black background but with a bit of depth?
Hi Ashley! I'd mix a few blacks and maybe some textured ones to get some depth. Check out your local craft stores for the various paint then create a demo before painting the larger sign, if possible!
I have been watching your videos on repeat and I really want to start my own business doing this. Could you go into detail on how you started and was able to build up clients and get them to find you for work
Thank you so much!! How exciting to start your own business! I'm working on more videos on the business side of things, how to get into the wedding industry and my workflow with couples! Stay tuned :)
I’m making my own signs but have no idea what sizes to get. What size did you use for the welcome sign??
I love it. I will be attempting to make my first Acrylic sign. I have a cricut maker machine, but I noticed in the design space it will cut off at a certain dimension. I see you have a longer mat, will this work with the maker? I know the new Maker 3 allows for longer design, but not sure about the maker.
Hi Audrey! I have the original Maker and use the 12x24" mats for most of my projects. Mine will allow cuts up to 11.5-23.5"
@@CarlyKeller ohh yay! I'll be purchasing that mat. Can you share which Acrylic is best based on your experience? Thank you for your time and sharing.
Hi… I love your art works … just have 1 question.. do you put clear spray at the back after the last layer or you just leave it as it is?
Just depends on the sign! These sponged signs usually do not show imperfections, so I'll skip! But will add it sometimes to signs that are used over multiple days (like a welcome sign being used for events throughout one weekend) to help keep them fresh
what is the height of the "welcome to the wedding of" for this sign?
Okay do you know where they got their invite set? I love that!
The designers IG is tagged in the description 💛
Can you do one on how to frost an acrylic welcome sign? I’m struggling I love the frosted look but i don’t know where to begin!
Hi Melanie! I buy the frosted acrylic from my local plastics store. They have so many options including clear, frosted and colored acrylics! Here is a tutorial of a frosted acrylic sign I recently made: ua-cam.com/video/g9SulPs89yw/v-deo.html
Thanks for replying! I called my local plastic store and they only do trash bags lol. Any recommendation as to where I can buy acrylic? My issue is no where around me sells it pre frosted
Very nice. What are you using to apply the paint?
A sponge! Its listed in the video description :)
Love this. What is the font you used?
Thank you! They are both in the video description 😊
So pretty! Where do you get your acrylic?
Thank you!! The acrylics are from my local plastics store :)
Hello! How do I know what size fonts fonts to use for a sign, like for the size sheet you used for this video? Thank you!
What thickness of acrylic sheeting do you suggest? And also what are your standard dimensions?
Most of my welcome signs are 1/8" and the smaller ones are 1/16" to fit in my wood holders!
Carly Keller awesome ❤️ and sorry what length x width is your standard?
Hello, do you help others learn this technique? Like a 1on1 class? Would love to learn!
Hi Maze! I a not offering one on one classes but check out my Fans page for more goodies! fans.creativefabrica.com/creators/carly-keller/
What size is your decal for the wedding sign?
Each is different due to the size of the sign and custom details/names etc.
I’m interested in purchasing a sign .
Here is the link! www.etsy.com/listing/896539710/painted-acrylic-welcome-sign-custom?ref=shop_home_feat_3&frs=1
Please answer me what's the acrylic sheet? It is glass or what? And how can I get it?
This may be a silly question, but do you let the paint dry fully between layers?
Not silly at all! I do, but each layer quickly dries with this sponged style
How did you get the holes in the acrylic to hang the sign?
Like this! ua-cam.com/video/-PKhhcYJ2gU/v-deo.html
Hello, how do you create the hole in the Acrylics to hold the board up x
How do you send it for your client? What’s the packaging?
Here is my tutorial on how! ua-cam.com/video/ddOHUlMboMk/v-deo.html
@@CarlyKeller thanks!
Hello, How big is the acrylic plate??
Hi! This is a 24x32"
Hi! How are you able to get a screenshot of the entire sign if it’s a 24”x32”? I want to be able to send my client a digital mock up of how the entire sign will look, but even when I zoom out as far as possible on Design Space, I’m still not able to see the entire sign. (Hope this makes sense).
Hi Tracy! You can always size down your sign in CDS to where you can take a screenshot of it. Basically "lock" the size then drag one of the corners in to make it smaller. Or can download the fonts into a program like Canva and design your proof there :)
Hi, please can I am the fonts used x
Which Cricut machine do you have?
The Maker 😍
Please do let us product details
What kind of sponge is this?
Here it is! amzn.to/2AGbFA3
@@CarlyKeller thank you Carly. You rock.
Hi, do you sell your designs?
