Fruit enthusiast trying to grow as many fruit trees as possible in my small backyard and small greenhouse. Virginia Beach zone 8a pushing the growing boundaries as much as I can. I'm especially interested in citrus, jaboticaba and rare tropical fruit trees. Thank you for visiting my channel! BTW most people just call me "g".
Achacha ( Achachairú ) grafted taste test and Online Order from Champa Nursery
I grafted an achachairu that produced a fruit right away. I ordered the rootstock from Champa Nursery then grafted it with a mature scion.

OP Nagami kumquat was the only kumquat survivor out of all of the kumquats that I had grafted out in my yard. This one survived our 3 degree freeze. Developed by Dr John R Brown out of Texas. Ichang lemon 🍋 a cold hardy citrus you can grow in zone 8 and possibly in a sheltered area in zone 7. Very large fruit that has a great lemon flavor without any off flavors.

WOW! That is an amazing orchard! Im curious do local birds and fona eat these unfamiliar fruits while they are still in the tree? Or are they unknown to local “pests” so they dont know to actively search for them to eat? Fantastic video👌🏻
Sorry you got cold damage, we had some here too but lucky nothing completely died off. Great video it gives an example of the hardiness of these trees.
