Just picked up a used one in great condition for $15 dollars Went back and gave the neighbor $15 more after using it just for two days and still feel like I got the best end of the deal. 👋🤠
We got ours for $65, a steal! The issue we have is, and we’ve used it a lot, is, we have to use 2 hands to open the door, if we use one hand, the whole unit moves but the door doesn’t open. We need to put a hand on top and open with the other hand. I like that we can add a round casserole dish inside for baking.
Yeah this thing at $65 I would have bought as many as I could. We had some issues with our door but we cleaned the edging cuz it was sticking on ours. But I have heard of people having latch issues.
This is so great. Thank God I saw this video before opening up the box of the vortex basket version. This will be so useful now, especially with what we are going to experience, ie power shortages or even forced into using less power. So, I shall return the basket version and get this one. Thanks for the great video.
A beneficial feature that did not get mentioned in your video is that the door is (by-design) easily removable which makes cleaning both the door and the inside a lot easier!
First video I've watched from you. I just got the Vortex, and I agree with everything, except that you are really missing out on the rotisserie, especially the basket. Try tator tots and fries in the basket, you won't ever put them on a tray again. I don't really like chicken, but I love rotisserie chicken. I got a 10lb package of chicken (leg/thigh togethers), 69c a pound. One leg/thigh fits perfect in the basket. Season one, Roast and spin on 380 for 40 minutes, it comes out amazing. I've tried rotisserie chicken that the grocery store tries to sell heated up, they may as well be from a gas station. Do it at home, very cheap, and it is totally amazing. I got my Vortex because I wanted a rotisserie, but the other features are still useful.
This is the first time I saw your video. I have the same thing and I love it. I do have the same issue with the buttons. Another thing if you hit it wrong it converts to the metric system and you have a hard time converting it back even if you hit the temp buttons at the same time. There is one other issue. It does not cook as well as the drawer air fryers. In my old XL I could cook chicken quarters in less than 20 minutes at 360 while this one is 400 at 25 minutes. But I tried the rotisserie for the first time sunday and I did better than Giants and Walmart. It came out real well. I am going to try your corn on a cob tonight
My friend gave me one she never used .I’m in an apt ..can anyone tell me if first time you plug in is there a bad smell ???also smoke issues ???can I put in on a Formica counter ..please help the newbie ..thanks
Yep when they're new they stink no problem on a formica countertop I use one on Formica. Smoke issues are probably more about what was used to clean it I would probably wash all the components with Dawn and hot water Make sure they're rinsed well
Best value for an air fryer. I know. I spent two months before I purchased mine and your Instant Vortex air fryer was at the top of my list for interior room/design and value for money. It's not a Rolls-Royce. It's a Ford F250. So what about the buttons. Most that size are not 1500w. That thing is a beast. I use my air fryer every day. Sometimes twice. I'm making air fried chicken tonight with air fried potatoes and carrots. What's a stove again?
I saw a video using the rotisserie skewer to make a rib eye roast. I bet you could do that with a dear roast and it would come out really good. I want to rotisserie a whole chicken, but I can't find a bird under 4 pounds.
Why aren’t people talking about how much they smell when there new. It was so bad I had to put mine outside and run it all day to see if the plastic smell would stop. 😡still smells. Not as bad but still smells.
Hot dogs in the rotisserie is fantastic!!! very easy to use and clean!! I appreciate your info on this - I really don't like the "no info or recipes" in the purchase - shame on them!!!
This is not a commercial This is me talking about appliance that I use and had you looked at any of the other videos on our channel we have multiple ones where we cook in it. One of our most popular is our blooming Onion. But it's funny how you go quickly too bad video. Most of us really care about whether the appliance actually works unless about how good I can cook in it anybody can be a good or bad cook that doesn't make the machine relevant

Thats true but i have never taken it off but it is helpful to some im sure
It is useful but I and many recommend you dont ever take it off and only hand clean with rag. (Do NOT submerge in water & NEVER put it in dish washer)
Awesome review and I ordered through your link. Greatly appreciated.
Thank you appreciate you watching and commenting. Using ours at moment to make cauliflower wings .

The beeps are WAY too loud. Thankfully there's a setting to turn it off.
That's true
Our has quieter beeps than what videos show. We just bought one, so many be there’s a sound downgrade.
