Fun Facts & Context: 1. There are many iterations of the Transformers' origin lore, mainly the Primes. Throughout the years, the Primes were said to have been created by Primus, the creator of the Transformers, originally to aid in combat against his evil counterpart, Unicron. After their victory against the Chaos Bringer, Primus uses the last of powers to become Cybertron, the homeworld for future Cybertronians. Leaving the Primes becoming progenitors of sorts with each Prime gifting new generations with their abilities, such as the ability to transform, combine, knowledge, and sparks. 2. In the original iteration, Megatronus was said to be the first Prime to fall into darkness. This is said to be because he was tempted by the dark power of Unicron and because he is the strongest, he is sometimes shunned by his brothers- in arms for fear that he'll turn on them. His descent to evil began, not just through his temptation to the dark side, but through being tricked by a fellow Prime named Liege Maximo, the Loki of the Primes, who deceived him by claiming his fellow Prime were attempting to overthrow him. Feeling what he thinks is betrayal, Megatronus went on a rageful rampage against his brothers. His actions even led to him murdering one of the Primes, who was his lover. Seeing how dangerous he has become, the Primes had no choice but to banish him, branding him "The Fallen" and becoming the first Decepticon. This tale will lead to the present event, where a young, lower-class Cybertronian named D-16, idolizes him and renames himself after The Fallen because of his strength and tenacity, which gives him the motivation to rebel against the corrupt senate of Cybertron and liberate all Transformers so they may be treated as equals through brute force and brutality. In this movie, the concept is still the same but with a twist. Megatronus is still the strongest among the Primes but he doesn't fall into darkness is a loyal member only to be betrayed and murdered by Sentinel. D-16 still admires Megatronus not as a villain but as a hero, until D himself turned evil and he formed the Decepticons.
My favorite inspiration quote from this movie: “What defines a Transformer is not the cog in his chest, but the spark that resides in their core. A spark that gives you the will to make your world better.” What Orion/Optimus did is use the words from Alpha Trion is to inspired the minors to be much more then what they were and forged their own paths by standing up to Sentinel's oppression. That's character growth from be a rebellious bot to an leader of what soon to be called Autobots.
Alpha Trion is depicted as the wisest and most chivalrous of all the Primes, the most "knightly". As such, his alternate mode is often a dedication to the old English Coat of Arms, that depicts a Lion and a Unicorn.

My favorite inspiration quote from this movie: “What defines a Transformer is not the cog in his chest, but the spark that resides in their core. A spark that gives you the will to make your world better.”
Brian Tyree Henry really out did himself with his incredible performance and his deep understanding of Megatron since always wanted to play the villains. Every villain is a hero of his and her own Story. D-16 is not only a product of Cybertron’s corrupted system and takes on Sentinel Prime’s oppression though violent means all the social injustices he had experiences forged his transcendence into Megatron and building up to a rivalry with Orion turned Optimus Prime (due to wanting the same goal of a unified Cybertron but have different viewpoints). But their friendship is doomed since they discovered that shocking realization their leader Sentinel Prime had sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons after betraying his fellow Prime brothers and sisters, and ruled his planet through oppression. D-16 has put too much faith in the system he has held on to until his worldview was shattered that boils up to anger and a personal vengeance after being suffered of the social injustices while Orion still kept his optimism by exposing the truth of Sentinel's corruption. This what makes D-16 a much more of a compelling hero-turned-villain and tragic character in Transformers history. And the rift between two brothers. Both D-16 and Orion really wanted a unified Cybertron but each have different ways to bringing it into fruition.

20:39 -- I didn't catch that "A-a-tron" reference until my second time through. 😆 If it doesn't receive sequels, the PS3/Xbox 360 games "War for Cybertron" and "Fall of Cybertron" could probably be "unofficial" sequels--it leads into it quite well. 👍
Not sure if others noticed this but I’m sure D-16 having the Megatronus sticker on his shoulder is an Easter egg. It’s the same place Optimus usually has the autobot symbol on his shoulder. So now in this version he puts the symbol on his shoulder in memory of his former friend.
For some reason the after credits scene is so cool to me. Like you said, yeah we would know that they become the Decepticons but it’s an important and epic moment to show after all the events of the movie. Tbh this has the qualities that I feel most after credit scenes should have. Be exciting, tease something or tie up a loose end, and have some significance as a scene.
“The Age of Primes is Over!” Wonder if this was part of that “One Bots strength over another” grew into Megatron’s philosophy, since the Primes weren’t strong enough to save themselves from an inside threat, it’s up to you alone. “I’ll build the future myself!” “Follow me and never again will you be deceived!”
1:08:40 I think one of the reason's why Elita was so effective against Airachnid is that Airachnid excels with sneak-attacks and catching her opponent off guard then overwhelming them with non-stop attacks. This probably worked against cogless and unskilled or 'elderly' Transformers like Sentinel. But Optimus (a young bot with a Prime Cog) was beefy enough to tank her hits whilst Elita (who's better than Optimus in every way) was able to break away from the initial onslaught and then turn the tables on Airachnid with a flying leap.
Orion Pax: Happy to take the lead today, captain. I feel like I have enough power in me to drill down and touch Primus myself. Elita-1: You don't have "The Touch" or "The Power". PLEASE tell me someone else got that reference!
In one comic future, Cheetor becomes the wisest elder on Cybertron, adopting a beast mode that closely resembled Alpha Trion's in this movie. He even adopts the name Alpha Trizer.
There’s 3 Things I have to clarify, 1. I’m ok with the Quintessons not showing up, I’m aware how much of a Threat they are but the whole point of this Movie is how Optimus Prime and Megatron began the Formation of the Autobots and Decepticons, IF the Quintessons had appeared more often it would ruin the Film and we won’t get any Sentinel Screen Time, 2. Elita wasn’t the one that had the Idea of using Arachnid to Expose Sentinel, It was Orion who did a Quick Thinking when Arachnid said “I can see Everything” showing how Clever Pax is with his Sharp Edge and Mind, and 3. Bee was done good enough, I get that the Character didn’t evolve but Bee has done Well Enough, his presence is literally the Beginning to Pax and D16’s Journey to who they are destined to become as it was a Red Flag when they found out that there’s 50 Sub Levels instead of 40, his Creation Steve has the Map, and while I thought he was going to ruin the Movie with the Comic Relief I’m surprised there’s Layers of Humanity especially when Sentinel captures him and Dee and Dee stood up when Bee didn’t want him to stand up because he doesn’t want to see his Friends Hurt, like the Quintessons I’m pretty sure Bee will Develop especially when he losses his Voice in the War, anyway this Movie was amazing, not only is it one of the Best Movies of 2024, but it’s clearly the Best Transformers Movie of all Time, the Voice Casting was Great, the Story with the Evolution of Optimus Prime and Megatron is Interesting and Heartbreaking, Sentinel Prime is one of the Best Modern Villains in a Long Time that he’s definitely giving Homelander Vibes, and the Animation and Setup are Flawless, 10 out of 10, I’m hoping this gets a Trilogy because it deserves it and I would love to see more content from this and the Franchise.
8:38 That was Wheeljack. 13:31 Arcee and Ironhide in the crowd. I want to say the blue one by Arcee is Trax but I could be wrong. 47:54 In my headcanon, I still hold that the Autobots stopped flying to preserve Energon since it was the whole reason they followed the Decepticons to Earth in the first place and decided not to strip Earth of it.
'Well not kids, maybe, like...a little older...' When I was eleven, I watched the wholesale slaughter of some of the characters I was familiar with, in a time before Optimus dying became A Thing that Happens, in the first act of Transformers: The Movie, in '86, in theatres. Granted, I wasn't quite savvy enough at the time to realise the driving merchandising decision behind it, but it was so different from the G1 series at the time. This movie was the first I'd really enjoyed- almost captured the same spirit- since the '86 movie, as the Bayformers series never really caught me the same way (Bumblebee came closest for me). Feels like I was transported back the near forty years since, watching this.
Dude, this movie was AMAZING!! When I say I squealed in the scene where Optimus is first revealed, I mean I practically sounded like a dog's squeaky toy.
Primus is the twin brother of Unicron. Both of them are the embodiments of good/evil and creation/chaos. Primus's very heart is the Allspark, the lifeforce of every Transformer, and Unicron has the Anti-Spark.

Message for Jv and Jane: Since Halloween is coming, how about watching universal monster movies from early 1930s to late 1950s. I thought about because the fans never resist the classics, sounds fair?
There’s a little confusing part I’ve seen people that are less informed of the lore, but having a primes T-cog doesn’t make one a prime, just their strength becomes similar. A prime is usually chosen by primus or in some cases the autobot High council or just passed on.
There are a few differences here compared to previous Transformers origin stories: 1. Megatron usually starts out as a gladiator in the Cybertronian arena whilst Optimus indeed started out as a cogless mining bot called Orion Pax and they did indeed start out as best friends who called each other "Brother" due to their shared ideals, however over time Megatron became more militant and power hungry whilst Orion/Optimus held true to the diplomatic and democratic ideals they started out with and was rewarded with the Matrix of Leadership for his integrity which of course intensified Megatron`s hatred of his former brother in arms . 2. The Quintessons are sometimes regarded as the creators or at least conquerors of the Transformers, here they are definitely in the latter category, whilst in the Bay Films they were in the former. 3. Sentinel Prime is usually a true Prime albeit somewhat of a blowhard who exaggerates his accomplishments by stealing the stories of other Primes, here he`s a false Prime and traitor. 4. In this continuity, Megatronus Prime is regarded as a hero by the miners of Iacon, in most continuities he is a traitor who later becomes The Fallen, the first Decepticon. 5. In many past continuities, the cogs were actually used by the Cybertronians` enemies to suppress transformations as opposed to being the medium through which they occurred as shown here.
People gotta stop using the bayverse movies to predict what happens in other transformers media, they’re different continuities. That being said…this movie was AWESOME!!! Such a love letter to transformers fans

20:39 -- I didn't catch that "A-a-tron" reference until my second time through. 😆
If it doesn't receive sequels, the PS3/Xbox 360 games "War for Cybertron" and "Fall of Cybertron" could probably be "unofficial" sequels--it leads into it quite well. 👍
Not sure if others noticed this but I’m sure D-16 having the Megatronus sticker on his shoulder is an Easter egg. It’s the same place Optimus usually has the autobot symbol on his shoulder. So now in this version he puts the symbol on his shoulder in memory of his former friend.
This movie is awesome. Great for people are new to transformers.
Chris is good as a young optimus. That is why.
Optimus prime 🤫🥵 welcome back goat 🐐
Megatron - "We were brothers once "
Optimus Prime - "Once"
Transformers The last knight
Transformers Prime music in this movie, i love it.
Chris Hemsworth killed it in this film, and the animation is amazing! Plot was great too. Praying for a sequel. #SAVETFONE
Glad I'm not the only one who keeps thinking of Hamilton lyrics every time Megatron says "Rise up!"
“The Age of Primes is Over!”
Wonder if this was part of that “One Bots strength over another” grew into Megatron’s philosophy, since the Primes weren’t strong enough to save themselves from an inside threat, it’s up to you alone.
“I’ll build the future myself!”
“Follow me and never again will you be deceived!”
"We will not be blinded by his deception, WE are the ones who are, DECEPTICONS RISE UP"
-Megatron (D-16) The Start for War of Cybertron
a cool detail at 54:04 is that the reflection of Optimus' red paint gives a red glow to Megatron as he starts to fully turn against Optimus
Nod to the G1 movie from 1986. More specifically, the iconic song that served as the theme song.
1:15 I give no shade at the sadness. I cried too. A voice of my childhood was silenced too early.
In one comic future, Cheetor becomes the wisest elder on Cybertron, adopting a beast mode that closely resembled Alpha Trion's in this movie. He even adopts the name Alpha Trizer.
Fun fact, Mirage and Hot Rod’s name is in that movie, though it looks as if they were just generic characters with different designs
Most of the FACELESS bots we see in the movie are DRONES! So, you don't have to worry about seeing any "murders" on screen.
Just so you know, this is not a prequel to the other films, it's a standalone origin story movie.
Him being megatron was no secret lmfao.
This movie is absolutely awesome🔥💯
'Well not kids, maybe, like...a little older...'
When I was eleven, I watched the wholesale slaughter of some of the characters I was familiar with, in a time before Optimus dying became A Thing that Happens, in the first act of Transformers: The Movie, in '86, in theatres.
4:31 Jane's face when he brought out the toy 😂😂😂😂
Primus is the twin brother of Unicron. Both of them are the embodiments of good/evil and creation/chaos. Primus's very heart is the Allspark, the lifeforce of every Transformer, and Unicron has the Anti-Spark.
I cried in the same part brother. This was an intense emotional ride. One of the best movies I have ever seen.
One of the things which I love about this movie is how it tells the origins of the Transformers, their Creator Primus, and the 13 original Primes!
Transformers - Armada; Energon; Cybertron - Game : War for Cybertron - Fall of Cybertron - The good - and this
Im so glad you watched this! You know when you know someone will absolutely love this, well justin was like a big kid because hes an original fan like us! Brilliant reaction 👏🏽
Message for Jv and Jane: Since Halloween is coming, how about watching universal monster movies from early 1930s to late 1950s. I thought about because the fans never resist the classics, sounds fair?
The way airachnid said "with pleasure" sounded like Viper from valorant lol
There’s a little confusing part I’ve seen people that are less informed of the lore, but having a primes T-cog doesn’t make one a prime, just their strength becomes similar.
A prime is usually chosen by primus or in some cases the autobot High council or just passed on.
21:56 Wow, you got the “A-a-tron” reference! Not many people caught that one.
Michael Bay should stay far away from this property.
D-16 hold him. Megatron Let him go.
Bro got his get back with the voice of my dreams line lmaooooo🤣
Went to see this in theaters, such an awesome work! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Wait you guys forgot to watch the ending
24:32
yep hes got the right idea😂😂😂
4:35 SS86 Hot Rod’s Matrix? Looks like it thanks to the blue energy effect.
There are a few differences here compared to previous Transformers origin stories:
"I'm Done Saving You!" - D-16/Megatron.
Thta Hit
Hard! 😔
People gotta stop using the bayverse movies to predict what happens in other transformers media, they’re different continuities. That being said…this movie was AWESOME!!! Such a love letter to transformers fans
The Wild Robot is next, goodluck 😊
Transformers should have stayed the way it was born, ANIMATION!
Oh yeah I knew Arachne from the moment I saw her spider legs
B is like a feral golden retriever.
They honestly missed the biggest opportunity when he turned into prime to not use Peter Cullen. He sounds bad.
I've waited for you guys. Especially this guy(i forgot his name, sorry) he is so a big fan of transformers.
Transformers Dark of the Moon is my favorite movie ever meanwhile Transformers one is my favorite Transformers movie. This is everything I wanted.
The best of friend to personal enemy
I'm so happy to watch all your reaction to Transformers and now this one guys❤💜 Jane I hope you get better. Happy Halloween guys 🎃
Megatronus Prime=The Fallen
