This car is slow, would,smoky and small but I like it. The only fault for me is that the Trabant is out of heater and air conditioning. I"m wondering how you are feeling driving that Trabi while you record that video. Are you frost inside or not but it"s a great car ONLY for summer because for winter it"s out of heater. But you can use a fan heater during that video just put it on the back seats. And you can also put a electric generator in the trunk if you like to feel more comfortable in that Trabi. While you are driving.😀😊🤗

Der läuft ja richtig gut, aber hatte der deluxe nicht die tankanzeige?
Ein Auto, vor der Wiedervereinigung und nach der Wende gehasst und belächelt ..... plötzlich sehr beliebt.... 601, das Auto
Genau so macht man es nicht.
Der Motor klingt nicht mehr besonders und dann richtig auf die gusche geben... kleiner Tipp, wenn du voll Last fährst, kurz den choke ziehen, bevor du völlig vom Gas gehst und der Freilauf wirkt. In Fachkreisen nennt man das auch spülen/ kühlen weil hohe Drehzahl + Schieber zu (sehr wenig Sprit)= Motor vllt fest bzw großer Verschleiß.
Ansonsten, schicker pappmann und gute Fahrt.

Ab 110 klingt der Motor irgendwie metallisch. Irgendwas hat er. Als meiner auch fertig war fuhr er sogar über 120. Nun nur noch 110. Egal, ich fahr ihn eh nur 80-90
Hey, danke für dein Feedback! Es ist auf jeden Fall was ganz besonderes, Mal ein Trabi zu fahren! :) Das mit dem metallischen Geräusch gebe ich gerne weiter an meinen Mechaniker/guten Freund, ist nämlich sein Auto ;)

No. The small gauge next to the speedometer is a fuel flow meter. It basically works as a tachometer. The Trabant 1.1, which was a 4 stroke version had a fuel gauge.
@@speter0208 some models of the 601 deluxe or s-deluxe actually had fuel gauges.

1:41 Warum ziehst du mit Tempo 70 auf eine Straße, auf der Tempo 100 gilt, obwohl die Beschleunigungsspur noch 100 Meter länger ist?
1:46 Am Ende der (ungenutzten!) Beschleunigungsspur hast du Tempo 95 drauf - ein Spurwechsel wäre so ohne Behinderung oder Gefährdung anderer möglich gewesen.
Außerdem schaltest du in der Situation viel zu früh hoch. Hätest du bei gut 20/40/60 geschaltet und Vollgas gegeben, hätte deine Geschwindigkeit am Ende der Beschleunigungsspur sogar bei 100 gelegen.
Einfach beim Fahren etwas mehr konzentrieren. 😉

Der Trabant entspricht dem angegebenen Baujahr. Stoßstange, Blinker, Rücklichter vom älteren Modell, Felgen nicht im originalen Zustand, der Motor total verschlissen, entspricht einen Bastlerauto
What is that gauge beside the speedometer?
Believe it or not, that's the LED rev counter. They actually fitted these cars with LED rev counters, or LED fuel/temperature meters depending on which model you had.

Like stock Trabi 601s had those? Or 1.1s? How would you get a Rev counter like that?
@@driver76fan : if I remember correctly, these LED meters were fitted as standard to later P601s. They were supposed to be more of a pressure gauge, but the display was effectively an indication of revs!

Der Motor klappert, dröhnt, daraus schließe ich einen hohen Verschleiß. Der Trabant hängt vorne runter, der hat keine originalen Türöffner und da würde ich mir schon Gedanken machen.
Das gebe ich gerne meinen Kfz-Mechaniker weiter... Ist nehmlich seiner ;)

It cannot be tin. This car is much more robust than most vehicles of the same class of those years. Please stop ignorantly denigrating it merely as the car produced by the socialist state!
