For the love of the Deity don't mention Christmas yet! We are not to the end of September. This kit is a great idea and I enjoyed the review of a NON 1/72 Kit. I foresee trouble between USAF personal and US Army troops, there might be a rumble! 👍👍👍

You said there are some eye popping kits coming and you did not exaggerate Peter this and the Zoukei Mura F-4D what a score for this one🎉🎉🎉 and well deserved, with the kit itself the detail 👌 but those figures dog tags and watch the Cavalry hat even had crossed swords and acorn braid around it and what good value all for around £70.00 👍
I already built the Bronco, superb kit by the way, and so cant really justify getting this package even though I would really like the Cobra. The Cobra for some reason is not issued separately except in the Arctic version. A nice touch would have been to add a card base of a Vietnam era airfield. The figures do look great.

That's a nice bundle, I already have the OV-10/O-2A "Vietnam USAF Airfield" set, but that Cobra looks like a nice kit. The price of this at around £60+ would be reasonable, since the Airfield set retails for about £56, and this has more plastic & 2 figure sets. BTW, the Plates on the Rotor roots are not balance weights, they are structural parts, known as a "grip pads", or "grip plates".
The blade itself is made of very thin material with a honeycomb filling, and only the spar making up the leading 1/3 is thicker material. These plates spread the load and thicken just the parts of the blade enough to strengthen the fwd (grip), & aft ( Drag brace) mounting points. Balance weights tend to be internal, depending on the design, in a tube at the root, or inside the tip cover.

9.5/10 is good enough for me....and having an interest all the way up to Vietnam (cold war), it will fit in nicely with FAC aircraft, Phantoms, Skyhawks, Skyraiders etc., etc....

Come to think of it, when one stumble across some amount of pennies (Euro Millions), which should one buy to commute to work, a Huey or a Cobra?
I think that my choice will be the Huey gunship, just for that iconic sound! 😎

Just the name of the kit is a bit misleading. It suggests to me that it includes a base with maybe a machinegun position and such. It is more 'forward air support'.
