Honestly a reoccuring mixology show would be a great idea
I love you Mac ❤️✨🤞🏾
They fired their mixology expert
@@cameronward8445 Delaney 😤?
I just wish we had Delanys drink segment 😭😭 OG’s remember
Was thinking this exactly. One of everything 😭
Lol.. the only consistent is change. Adaptability is key, this is a good vid! :) Now.
I just wish we still had those moments where Brad would see Delaney and say his name like it was his nemesis
@@duddyjeperson6664 Delaney ! 😠
Delaney made the best videos
“Sandra Lee pour” best comment ever!😅🤣 I totally laughed out loud !! Thanks Brad!
Always funny that Brad's "go to" seems like something he might have just made for the first time (at least in the way he makes it.)
Literately every time
Brad's the definition of chaotic good
His go-to is whatever sounds good in the moment haha
I freaking love how they included someone who doesn't drink and their spin on it, so inclusive i live for it
Kendra’s comment on “if a bar has a good ice game they have a good everything game” is so right
Brad making a drink that looks like something a dad at a bbq would just come up with on the fly is VERY on brand
1:35 you should actually add all the ingredients, shake it a little without the ice in there to get that egg white emulsified, then add the ice and shake it again. You'll get a much nicer foam.
Also double strain it and pour it in a pre-chilled coupe glass 🍸or any other cocktail glassware. Save the coconut for something else .😉 The ingredients are legit and the recipe itself is fine, however. Big plus for using Peruvian Pisco Quebranta. 👏👏
!!!
came here to say the same, absolute shitshow
@@wubanger Absolutely. If my drink comes in a coconut I expect it to have about 4-6 ounces of several different rums, some falernum or orgeat, a good amount of cirtrus, and maybe some fruit juices.
@@stantheman4927 I mean this is HIS drink soo make it how you want?
PLEASE, i need more its alive with brad. Please bon appetite, im begging you.
@@MrJoshcc600 this feels pretty ignorant bro, think about how brad would feel about your comment
@@jaredreeks7798 you're just projecting. He's saying he wants more of his show, nothing wrong with that. In fact, that what creators like to hear.
Brad always has the best references. TPB, Napoleon Dynamite, and now that Sandra Lee pouring meme video.
Yes! And Sandra Lee is doing well after her cancer bouts and recent hysterectomy.
Devonne is so crazy! He always says it so simple and then uses the most outrageous ingredients!
lol!!
Frozen pina coladas. I make them any time there's a party at my place. I just freeze tinned pineapple in advance then whizz it up in a blender with lime, coconut cream and rum. Or I make 2 batches and leave the rum out of one so kids can have it too and I find they like sharing the same stuff as the adults. So easy, not super pricey either, the coconut cream can be but overall a pitcher last time using the expensive coconut cream cost maybe £10 including the alcohol (and there was A LOT of alcohol in there). Never fails to get sooo many compliments. and I don't particularly pay attention to measurements just play it by ear.
Brad's drink made my stomach burn just watching lmao
Great to see Kendra again, missed her (crazy shirt!). Hope Harold is okay, haven't seen him in a while.
Happened to have all the ingredients in my fridge to make Zaynab’s . Even the pink lady apple kombucha that she’s using
I’ve now had 3 this evening . Soooooooo good. Can’t recommend enough.
I put vodka in it.😏 My new fav cocktail
I could see some nice gin going great in it!
POG and Li hing mui is where it's at!!! Hawai'i represent!
Brad's drink looks and sounds amazing!
i saw that spa water joke brad lmaoooo
omg, melissa's sounds amazing. really really need to try it.
“ a Sandra Lee pour” 🤣🤣
Always Glad to see Brad!
i love the ron swanson:
3 glasses of lagavulin followed by vigorous love making for 2 hours.
best served cold but without ice (applys to both parts)
the first cocktail video is what got me hooked. full circle
I love the way Devonn is dressed. Looks like something Harry Styles would wear 😂
That POG marg looks sooo good
the last cocktail is genius!
Although it was non-alcoholic...I really liked it, too! I'd add orange-infused seltzer and/or a nice rum (Bacardi Mandrin, perhaps! 😜🍊🍹)
Excited to try Brad's recipe. LOVE Mezcal
DeVonn and brad are the best. so entertaining
I know this is random but I want to see more it's alive with Brad Leone
I love the Sandra Lee pour hahahaha
The kombucha wow … definitely going to try it….
I was thinking about making POG margaritas yesterday!!! Perfect!
You need to add ice to the glass/coconut and should strain the pisco sour. Also dry shaking before the ice shake would be a good idea for the foam!
Miranda got that "Aloha Muchachos" drink. I'm coining that drink JK 😜. It makes this Hawaiian bartender proud to see POG in drinks.
i kinda want to try Kendra's but instead of the preserved lemon paste, use a yuzu kosho add that little kick of heat to the summery drink!
Devonn is such a mood love him! hope to see him in more segments :)
You can also tilt the glass to pour the kombucha instead of using a barspoon
My fav channel!! 😍
Zaynab: I'm just going to add some ice
Zaynab: [adds an entire block of ice]
Oh okay
woot! a mock-tail!
Alex is and was the king of cocktails and no one will compare to his concoctions
Thank you zaynab for giving an alcohol free option! Love cocktail/mocktail vibes but I don’t drink also!
the last person did alcohol free as well
More mocktails please
A good ole Sandra Lee pour!! My man!! Lol
How can't you miss Delany in an episode like this😟
TRU
You can't have a Margarita without Cointreau. Period.
I'm easy to please my favorite mixed cocktail is a simple vodka tonic, double shot of vodka. No lime or lemon. Lots of ice.
That Pisco Sour needs a dry shake before adding ice to the shaker.
Or a reverse mime shake
Pisco sours are top notch 👍🏽
I’m glad Peruvian pisco is being used 😇 🇵🇪
Never heard of it before!
@@leighalmond4128 essentially Peruvian brandy in a sense
Try Piscologia (not an ad).
I love margaritas and that POG marg... babes!!! gimme 10.
I’m a juice of one lime guy, too
Will there be another season of Its Alive? I wanna see more Brad !!!! tq
Seems a bit strange to serve something with no coconut in it in a coconut ??
I get the aesthetic, but thought the same thing...🤔
pretty certain you're supposed to dry shake anything with egg white and then add ice and do a quick shake
Where is It’s Alive??
Not this one. It'll be okay.
@@freighter1097 seeing Brad, but not seeing It’s Alive is sad
It's dead :(
@@christianterrill3503 did they announce that?
"A few ingredients, nothing too fancy" - an entire coconut on the table
Though all of these cockltails look & sound great, the only one who did everything right was the 2nd chef. The one who made the Kombucha mocktail. Proper technique, measured out ingredients, proper garnishes, presentation, & proper knowledge. Again the others weren't bad. It would just be cool too see more real bartenders with a platform to do this right.
Alllllways dry shake a egg white cocktail unless you only use a single small cube (then add a full shake on small rocks) or single big rock.
k but does anyone know where DeVonn got that shirt? I LOVE it.
Ok DeVonn, I see you in that Harry Styles Bode number
Okay so I guess ill try the egg white drink..
Hey DeVonn, you have to shake the Egg White without the ice and adding it after the first dry shake to the shaker ;)
no, actually. although it may make it a little more frothy it is by no means necessary.
You can reverse mime shake and get just as much if not more foam.
@@thatdudebro Maybe, but shaker had two cocktails worth of liquid plus ice. Didn't leave much room for good mixing. Dry shake or reverse dry shake was probably needed for the best outcome here.
Who cares about the froth, he ends up drinking with a straw...
@@williamdeschamps5804 baahahha good point
Anyone know what brand of shaker DeVonn is using?
isn't using a straw on a rimmed cocktail a bit silly? Same for that coconut drink - he put effort into making a drink with a nice frothy head and then put it in a vessel that is impossible to drink out of without a straw!
I like to have a straw sometimes and lick some of the rim when i feel like it, but yeah its kind of unnecessary when there are not solids
I find it hard to believe that a "go-to cocktail" should include the instructions "use a drill"
Only Brad and Melissa understand the concept of "go-to." Nobody whipping out a coconut, a power drill and one of those "22 dollars for 3 ounces of drink" long icecubes on a summer afternoon.
Lol wut? Everything in Melissa’s would require either a trip to a specialty store or making a simple syrup ahead of time for me
@@TheBlackVelveteen i find it fun that melissa's would absolutely be go-tos / readily available things for some peeps & a specialty store items for some other peeps.
@@TheBlackVelveteen The powder is discardable, and the POG is just a varietal fruit nectar. Most "breakfast" juices contain those ingredients or a combination thereof.
I’m so grateful for Zaynab for always coming through with the halal options!
Kendra too!
We need more Brad! Where is my It's Alive baby?!?!
Love that a mocktail was included!! More mocktail recipes!!
Love the idea for Kendra’s grapefruit drink. One of my fav snacks is sprinkling a little salt on grapefruit so I know I would love that, definitely going to try asap!
Just a quick tip...I'd use an orange infused seltzer water to "layer" all the flavors of citrus fruits; use all slices of citrus in the highball glass. I even like it non-alcoholic (but would probably use Bacardi Mandrin Rum! 😜😋🍹🍊)
@@stefanmarchione6757 great tip, thanks!!
@@katief7047 Enjoy! 🍹😉
@@stefanmarchione6757 btw I’m not a big fan of rum or dark liquors but I’m going to try it with tequila and/or vodka - thinking it will be similar to a Paloma. My sisters grapefruit tree is producing so much rn thanks to the weird heat wave/tropical storm in SoCal so I can’t wait to use them! Cheers
@@katief7047 That sounds delicious! Palomas are really nice...if you want to substitute vodka, I think Stoli has an orange essence vodka. It would be good, as well. I bet those grapefruit trees are wonderful; the scent alone! Wish I could partake, but it affects a medication I take. I do, however, enjoy a small serving of ruby red grapefruit juice once in a while; so refreshing! I do love citrus. Hope you try the drink, and share how it was! 😉🍹👱
This episode should’ve been a pissup, next time just have everyone getting hammered 🎉
Nobody is surprised that Brad had a bunch of aromatics in his 😂
Wish there were new episodes of "it's alive"
Sailor Jerry's and any diet soda.... even Mtn. Dew
Devonn please tell me where you got that GORGEOUS button shirt im obsessed
Someone tell DeVonn to please shake your egg white drinks without ice first!
100% am going to make a pogarita.
Sandra Lee was so watchable. I don't care that she scratched the back of that lovely traveling man who wrote a book and broke my heart. anyhoo - I love a good pour.
Nice, just add music. Cookies and milk, peanut butter and jelly, Bert and Ernie - some pairings are just to be. And we can safely add “music and cocktails” to the list as well.
POG !
Kombucha has alcohol, just like traditional sodas. Fermented things often do. Doesn't have the effect of alcohol often. But, people super-sensitive to alcohol and fermentation may want to test it out
i appreciate the mocktail inclusion!!
Always dry shake your egg white cocktails boys and girls
You can reverse mime them too makes it easier for a lot of people to hit fill lines and doesn’t over dilute if you do it correctly
My go to is a jungle bird or a zombie if I’m really trying to get going
bon appetit and I have very different ideas of what “go-to” means
Where my-ah Caprese Martini!! Uhhh?
As a bartender, the lack of dry shake on the pisco sour and the unshaken lime and tequila… hurt me. But they sound good if actually made properly!
this is pog
You have to shake egg whites without ice first before shaking with ice.
You can do a reverse mime shake just don’t build a cocktail over ice you can’t control dilution as much.
It’s not just about dilution, that first shake is important to get rid of bacteria
yay
The way they use the bar spoon hurts my bartender soul
Put two big jiggers (60ml) of vodka and one (30ml) of Amaretto in to a pint glass, fill the glass to 3/5 with two fruit juices of choice and then top up with lemonade
Probably better scaled up as a punch or scaled down to a smaller glass.
Woah woah woah, we didn’t dry shake the egg whites?
Love the first cocktail out the gate is made incorrectly. Need to shake the egg white without ice either before or after shaken with ice to emulsify the egg white into the drink. Also needs a nice hard shake.
it just goes to show that chefs might think they understand the bar but have a habit of overestimating how much goes into it
Soo Delaney "The Cocktail King" is no longer involved with Bon Apatite?
He left with the others so no he's not there anymore
Thank you for including non-alcoholic drinks!
Dry shake first for the sour!
I wish the BA kitchen could make a whole video on different mocktails! There are even many brands that make non-alcoholic spirits.
I don't drink.
Me: SKIP!
